a new do. well that suspected try again members attacked the demonstrators. it was a vicious assault gangs of men all dressed in white attacking anti-government protesters on their way home from another huge demonstration. the brutal attack whose life streamed on social media showing journalists as well as protesters being beaten as the men rampage through a subway station and onto trains i wasn't even aware that i saw a person in front of me bleeding all over on the floor i tried to go and drag him away but they wouldn't let me they had all sorts of weapons and they came over and attacked me to. an opposition lawmaker who was injured blamed pro china triad gangsters some of the men were reportedly seen speeding from the scene in cars with mainland chinese number plates as the dozens of injured received treatment police

finally arrived on the scene and work used by witnesses of taking over an hour to get that despite frantic calls for help so far no arrests have been mayn't i. the next day hong kong's probation need to carry lam condemned the attack and we absolutely do not own dylan that horrible. and that is that he may disappear. but ours is not a solution to any problem but almost but only 3 more. that other pro china lawmakers focused their condemnation on the anti-government protesters who had thrown eggs and paint at china's liaison office in the city once again protesters clashed with police well into the night. such and should be severely condemned and i think these reporters look we're still these provocative pictures which we see use the damage the relationship between

central government and hold. but it is the closeness of that relationship that pro-democracy protesters are worried about their concerns have expanded beyond the controversial that she dishes as fears grow that democratic freedoms are being and rotate fears that will only be stoked by the apparent intervention of pro china gangstas. this is the the viewers live from berlin still to come on the show waiting for the countdown to india's moonshot rocket is on the launch pad now its mission control gives a green light india's lunar probe could be heading to the moon within minutes. we'll have live coverage of that 1st in studio train where president palmer's alaska's party looks to be on course to win an outright majority that following sunday's parliamentary elections if confirmed the result would be the best for any party in ukraine's post soviet history zaleski called snap elections after his

landslide presidential when april because parliament was dominated by his opponents he said a parliamentary majority would help. support his promised reforms and his fight against endemic corruption. for the very latest let's go live now to our correspondent nick conley in kiev today via nick the latest projections showing the lenski servant of the people party heading for a majority far surpassing expectations. exactly brian we are in uncharted territory this has never happened before in ukraine's independent history no president has had this level of support in parliament yesterday evening we thought he would need a coalition but then overnight counting in the direct members of parliament has shown a real clean sweep for his party and gamble to really capitalize on his honeymoon with the voters of the presidential election seemingly paying off the other parties
11:06 am
to enter ukraine's parliament you've got the pro russian party run by one of. personal friends on just over 1112 percent then you go next prime minister to machine co-ax president poroshenko and another showbiz transplant politics sets of a cut ukraine's most famous rock musician who has agents parliament on about 6 percent potentially a coalition partner if you need it nick what is it the details about selenski and his party that resonates so much with so many voters. i think this is a story about deep disappointment with ukraine's existing political class the people like to have been in charge of this country for the past 20 years 20 years in which ukraine has repeatedly failed to live up to its huge potential and so there was a huge demand for new faces will be ones that people knew from show business and had some kind of connection to some kind of recognition of an zelinsky is a monster political communication he's someone who really has perfected the art of

the facebook video talked to the nation these are his memes his talking points are discussed by people who are far from politics she's really able to engage people across a saudi and not just the journalist in the political nerds ok what about foreign policy will tomorrow's ukraine be pro western or will it be looking for a rapprochement with russia. i think that's the $1000000.00 question i think it's important to remember here that the production policy the head of which travel to russia during this election campaign picked up only more than just about 12 percent . less than in previous elections selenski coming into the presidential campaign had hinted that. he would be willing to maybe make some kind of concessions to make progress possible but since being in office he has struck a less conciliatory tone so i think even with his strong support in parliament we're not really going to see too much of change in ukraine's course ukraine for now at least not seemingly willing to give him that leeway to really make

a lunar lander to the blast off in a few minutes i'm at 2 43 pm local time to be exact getting these live images right now from ok janeiro that is if everything goes according to plan. this is in the is the 2nd attack the last lunar probe after a technical glitch caused the mission to be aborted just one hour before launch last week. chandrakant 2 is india's most challenging mission so far a highly complex undertaking. the spacecraft should reach its destination in the 2nd week of august when it enters an elliptical orbit of the moon. then it will approach the lunar surface. when the landing robots separates from the craft the most exciting phase begins india's 1st soft landing
11:10 am
on the moon. to select a landing site is about 600 kilometers from the lunar south pole a region of craters on the dock side of the moon. the blue markings here chauffeurs in ice in craters i spotted by satellites. given the high plateau the landing robot should touch down gently amid ancient rocks. off the landing will open its doors and release india's 1st lunar rover on to the surface small as a briefcase it can travel up to 500 meters. with its on board instruments the rover . measure water bearing minerals in the lunar rock as well as the concentration of elements such as aluminum silicon and titanium. meanwhile the landing robot will
11:11 am
record moonquakes and explore so-called lunar plasma a thin layer of electrically charged particles above the surface. and the rover will be able to collect data for a few earth days then it will go dark for 14 days that's when the temperature drops to $160.00 degrees below 0 celsius. the orbiter will spend a year gathering data about the moon the objective is to fill in the gaps from india's previous mission it has 8 measuring instruments on board their function is to investigate the moon's thin atmosphere and show which minerals and chemical elements make up its surface when. for the 1st time a special radar will be used to determine the location and quantity of frozen water . india's mission is the 1st to bring this type of instrument to the moon.

as we wait for blast off let's go to. the car live following the story for us and sania how confident are indian scientists in today's launch there's a very tight launch window that they have to meet. that's right brian i mean scientists today have a window of literally one minute to carry out this launch that's a really tight window so they have very little flexibility in terms of time so the pressure is really on to get this right this time they can be the room for t.v. so i think that a lot of you know tense and anxious moments going on right now at that space station on india's eastern coast ok mission control tweeted earlier that the chandrayaan 2 is ready to take a 1000000000 dreams to the moon what is this launch me for india's space program.
11:13 am
well so this is really india's most complex space mission to date you know the timeline to when attempt a soft landing on the kind of yet unexplored untaught to the south polar region off the moon this is never been done before and if successful india would really become only the 4th country in the world to carry this off off russia and china and of course if this is successful it would really profit india into red to fight company off you know spacefaring nations like the u.s. and russia and of course it would be a huge technological achievement for india's space isn't c. and a big boost of course for india's going space some distance ok we're getting live images you just want to look at them for a 2nd song and we just passed as a 2827 we're getting the countdown now for the last launch of the chandrayaan 2 lunar probe. we're going to follow the countdown this is so exciting it means so much not only of course everyone we've been looking out there live in mission
