joining me in studio is thomas he's with g.w. africa and has been following the developments in sudan now 1st of all is this the deal that these civilians want it let's say some civilians because as you can see from the agreement it's signed by what they call the main opposition group that the opposition group is an umbrella organization lots of different groups interest activists human rights political parties all want to have a say in this and whether they will agree. and stay happy with this agreement is to be see you some activists have already said they only want the civilian government nothing to do with the military and some of these people activists have already. let their voices be heard instead that they will go back on the street and protest so there could be protests because as it stands this would be a joint council right how how many how many as civilians how many from the military on the council it they get both of 5 and then they agree on the sixers 2 thirds
10:04 pm
majority to the civilians but the question is what people will be holding their eyes on i guess is with they will stick to the reforms and also the colts the military have agreed to us maybe the biggest question hovering over the celebrations the ceremonies today is will this landmark deal hold i think that is the big question that people in south sudan in sudan i ask in themselves and also in the region because it has referred movie cations in the last part of the north eastern part of africa the question is whether these reforms as i mentioned will they take place also i think the biggest issue is expectations remember this actually took place quite rapidly. for the last few years there has been very unhappy people. voicing their dissent and in december they came to the fore with the austerity measures prices tripled overnight on bread and then in
