was really difficult convincing people in the village especially the women. the notion of working independently while also being a grieving widow in a rural community was unimaginable but i was persistent and managed to bring all the women together. on march 25th and 26th 1999 more than 100 muslim men from krisha were rounded up and shot dead by serbian militias the women and children fled or were driven out. of the graves of those murdered for some there are no graves their bodies were never found. it was massacres like this targeting albanian civilians that prompted nato to launch a campaign of air strikes against serbia. in june 1909 the multinational k. 4 force sent troops into kosovo the soldiers were welcomed as liberators by kosovar
