services for example in the year 2018 the bilateral trade between the united states and the european union was 70 percent bigger than the bilateral trade between the u.s. and china. so considering that and looking at what trump said today i mean he drew a very unflattering comparison between the european union and china was he telling the truth. well what is certainly true is that the european union has been often criticized for having a sort of protectionist approach to its trade when it comes to sensitive sectors that are important to certain countries and perhaps that is one important aspect to take into consideration is negotiating with the european union more difficult than you go sharing with china well probably yes because with china we're talking about one country and in the case of the european union we are talking about $28.00 countries that have very different interests very different problems and that of
