to turn to a horrible man and he's going to abuse her and subjugate her and so forth and so ok the solution to to to eat eat a little boy's probably wouldn't be advocated by most but but very interesting even some maybe some maybe some who knows but of course you have to also understand the the director of good perkins he's the son of a psycho actor anthony perkins so it could be that he's just trying to work out some issues you know we don't we're just we're actually going to have a little look at the movie psycho later in the show 1st though in the last decades we're talking about the grimm brothers these stories have been so watered down for children in the last decades what kind of details from the original story have they brought back here yeah they've all sort of the really gruesome elements of the of the story so you know the horror of like these kids being cast out basically to starve in the woods which is in the in the original tale and also really the bloodiness of it the way the needs of the witches eats children and the way she comes to her bitter end you know spy. you know. but what i find interesting is also

the changes of the directors made i mean the main one in the original tale the kids are about the same age here he makes gretel much older and 16 the kid much younger may clear the gravel it's gretel story she's in charge and she's the hero ok so that's why it's gretel and hands one of these are german stories it strikes me that we're here in germany why aren't there german movies and t.v. shows based on the grim brothers' tales yeah i mean it has so many things in german culture goes back to the war before world war 2 germany had made a lot of horror movies like nosferatu goal novels created the horror film genre but after that the idea of the holocaust the idea of turning horror into entertainment lost its losses taste and still is very taboo the only film i can think of that takes elements of the group brothers and does a different thing with it is the netflix series dark which isn't about the grimm stories but it uses some elements of the sort of the dark danger of the woods and
