a lot of women a lot of people of color it looked great however when you look at the nominee category there just weren't a lot a lot of nominees of diversity a woman remember no one man was nominated in the best director category and only one black woman was nominated in the lead actress category so there just wasn't a lot of diversity outside of white males of the nominees so i think the academy felt like they had to kind of make up for in presenting a really diverse and unified oscars last night and i think it went really far and how do you explain i mean you're there in l.a. in hollywood i know that the academy has made changes in the last 2 years i mean the academy itself has tried to become more diverse so why why do you think that is not being reflected in the nominations here here's the problem when you look at it there are changes being made but they're slow changes that's the problem there are more women and people of color in front of the camera in hollywood today than there
