mean there's the obvious one we saw in that report to make a quick buck buck if you can make a quick sale but i think what's more concerning is how this decision from ation is being used as a political weapon to destabilize governments to destabilize authorities particularly health authorities and spread fear and panic across the world not just this week we heard from u.s. officials saying that there's been an increase in russian trolls thousands of russian trolls trying to spread conspiracy theories such as it was the u.s. who were behind this coronavirus because they want there to be to inflict economic pain on china or that it was the cia who manufactured it as a biological weapon we've even seen reports that it was the microsoft founder bill gates who is now the billionaire philanthropist who for some reason invented a manufactured this and of course as you saw in that report also some far right extremists who want to prove that this shows why immigration must be stopped people

could be much higher going forward there is a lot of feel in muslims not only living in the neighborhood but in other parts of delhi as well as that are rumors flying around of mob trying to attack with them neighborhoods but it is also heartening to see that there are other neighborhoods where hindus and muslims are taking out peace marches together to say that they will stand against such violence and that also see if spaces and and and and shelter being offered to muslims who are trying to flee from their neighborhoods which is also happening so this situation will have to continue being monitored closely that i had some not quite over yet. and we should just roll in delhi this is day w. new life from berlin still to come british actress helen mirren told showbiz breaks it and what it means to be all of with a lifetime achievement award at the berlin international film festival. first go to africa where devastating swarms of locusts of brits the democratic republic of congo the country's 1st a sighting of these variations in sex since the 1940 s.

a short term lead. but she's a lot more relaxed in real life so what's the secret behind her stellar career. i was very lucky and that was the truth for me but. my advice honestly is be on time and. to anyone at any time that what they are. one of the early roles was in the london gangster flick the long good friday but she was no ordinary gangsters mall. this was the early ninety's when strong female roles was still a rarity for many fans a career high was her majestic performance in the queen she won an oscar for her

portrayal of elizabeth the 2nd dealing with public anger at the royal family's response to the death of princess diana. despite the quintessential englishness of many of her roles. as a european it's hot i love to europe and i it was the best thing to me absolutely the best thing that we were now a part of europe as opposed to we had sort of appendage to america and never felt comfortable with myself. and i will continue. to practice it. thing it's a cultural thing it's interesting. and that's why she's especially happy to be receiving the golden bear but this year it's a great. coming especially coming from berlin you know this is a very substantial. town mazing history of german film obviously but

also. the. audience is notorious so famous let's say for its critical eye but no criticism right now just a celebration of a stellar career that has spanned more than half a century. well let's get the latest from. the red carpet for us. helen helen mirren gets a. lifetime achievement why. why you really ask that question how we talk with helen mirren dame helen mirren i mean the absolute complete package of . i mean this is a woman who could play queen elizabeth the 2nd and then. playing in state them's gangster mom in fast and furious movies i mean it's inconceivable that anyone could not see her as one of the greatest actresses of this or any generation i've

completely over the moon we just saw behind her she was at the press conference and we were both swooning over the fact that helmand is so close to us she has incredible charisma i mean she came out for her photograph at that press conference she has such poise she also has i mean sounds as well as you say she's incredible but she has gone objective lee incredible feat being oh yeah i mean she started out as the youngest member of the royal shakespeare company she holds this clutch of awards known as the trinity in acting so we're talking about and any for her work in t.v. as well as a tony for her work on broadway an oscar who had formants in the queen right and now she's going to get a golden bear to add to that actually have a suggestion i know that you guys are having some problems with your monarchy in britain at the moment maybe just put helen mirren on the throne yeah that would make a monarchist out of me and i think it's all the problems with the over boris johnson . let's talk about the competition that you think you can make if you see the latest competition film which was met with silence during the screening. fit it was

a very unusual film this is a film called ritzy all days it's a tie winnie's film and it's about 2 men who have an encounter one evening and then drift off back into their everyday lives quite mundane at times a lot of long shots over 2 hours long i should say and not a word spoken between the lead act is i think it's fair to say i'm going to know ethan but this is like a peek at house of the ballet not a definite but not in a bad way not a bad way the director of this film something you say is famous for this type of film quite a term for him called slow cinema he said himself that he once cinema to be like a temple and not like a supermarket i mean if you compare his movies to say hollywood movies hollywood movies for they were more like more like mcdonald's more like fast food fast and easy you know what you going to get of it maybe not that nutritious whereas here is you have take a lot. more time we have to really savor it but i think if you take the time the experience could be really overwhelming now i should say some people actually watching this movie early this morning they fell asleep while they walked out of
5:25 pm
movie theater however if you stayed awake you were rewarded by some incredible cinematography definitely worth a look ok that's that's that's quite a recommendation if you stay away you'll really enjoy it now you've seen most of the talk about. what's going to win the golden bear. you off it's interesting this year phil because i think for the 1st time i think 20 years in america a director could win and american female director allows a hitman for never really sometimes always which is a small quiet drama about a young teenage girl trying to get an abortion without her parents inside and crossing state lines with her cousins to get abortion that makes it sound like it's a political polemic it definitely isn't it's a very quiet film very delicate about what it's like to be young and poor and a woman in america today and i was blown away by this movie and i think it's got a lot going for it not just because it's a great film but also because it's a female director has a strong political undercurrent and both of those factors should play in its favor

come awards on saturday night incredibly moving piece of work i'd say in direct contrast to that might it fail would be f.s.e. to delete history of french comedy you know less about the perils of social media about you living in the suburbs in france and 3 people who should know that i'm getting into all sorts of trouble keep the social media i sort of wonder if the jury might just stay who wants to get the gold and that some comedy will say maybe but berlin doesn't isn't known for its sense of humor when it comes to these so i'm not sure that's going to happen but it was definitely an amazing film so we'll see in a couple that's. going to thanks very much scott rock's helena humphrey the international film festival. this is t w news coming up next the news asia will meet japan's 1st 2 disabled lawmakers in parliament to set a lection how to change japanese attitudes towards. with disabilities. i'm driving a water swamp the world's largest river island people julie come from defects of climate change on other threats. finished biological hypo stories i'm told in just
