11:02 pm
from social media and there are reports as you said that 3 people have died there's also footage on social media with ambulances and police doing c.p.r. on several people that are on the ground lying lying on the grass we have also known and we also know that at this site earlier in the day as and many other locations in the u.k. there was a peaceful breath black life massive protest and the organizers of this particular protest and reading have said by the time that this attack happened they had all left this particular park in reading and they're hoping and praying for the people affected but the day old safe and sound and had all left the scene so there's nothing nothing that links really these attacks to to any of the black life might approach is that we have named really all over the u.k. today to have your correspondents buy that mass thank you. well
11:03 pm
let's go now to the u.s. where thousands of people are gathering in tulsa oklahoma for president donald trump's 1st campaign rally and more than 3 months the city was the site of a massacre that was one of the country's deadliest white attacks on black communities almost a century ago the date of the trump rally was moved back a day after an uproar that it was originally scheduled for june 18th which marks the end of slavery in the u.s. the event is taking place despite warnings from health officials about spreading a coronavirus. and i'm joined now by correspondent stephan simons who is in tulsa outside the arena where the rally is scheduled jeff on what's going on where you are now. well we're not quite at the arena yet and let me show you what's going on here so this is the checkpoint for the press and behind those white tents is actually where the grounds are where trump supporters are streaming in by
11:04 pm
the sol's and stewart's the arena of course and i step back in the picture and let you show what's going on the site here he is the press now waiting in line for i would say another hour or so then they can pay and will let us in to what's the ground into the arena slash into the forefront of the arena and we can actually tell you what's happening there then until then we're kind of stuck here and i have to say so far what we experience was all peaceful the security perimeter here around the arena and for the president is in ben's there's a lot of law enforcement here all agencies secret service f.b.i. oklahoma perfect wrist acacias local police metropolitan the sheriff's department of the county the national guard here right behind me a.t.f. and what could go on and on and on so everything peaceful we are waiting to get access to actually approach people and could talk to people and. few more hours to go on from what you've seen so far are terms supporters following the health
11:05 pm
guidelines. that's my props for this live shot here nobody we have seen or as i would say like 90 percent 90 percent of the term supporters and the people who came to tulsa to support the president to see the president wearing masks they're getting mass handed to there are handouts stations where they get disinfectant where they get their temperature taken and where they get mess but we saw a lot of grab and stash like take the mask and put it away lot of people who are convinced that covert 9000 is actually a hoax they they just refuse to see the danger they're in by not wearing a mask and not keeping the social distancing standards and there's no social distancing near and far you know what's around. i think we've been told so many different things about how that night thing that. i think i just got tired of it really. so you're not concerned about your health or the health of all somebody
11:06 pm
else you need here and spend some pretty healthy i haven't heard anybody sneezing or coughing or anything i haven't heard anything from like you know the pandemics and. you know it's pretty firm you're right if you feel so if you eat well we do all this stuff or for all the other big names you know sometimes i just don't see well enough to do lists. of course trump supporters aren't the only ones there are police worried about any clashes between anti and pro trump people. i think that the city is of course wary about this war reach perhaps there is a protest scheduled for late in the afternoon from like lives matter and other groups but those are registered protests and they are placed miles away from the campaign here from the rally so there is a lot of concern that this might get out of hand this is might get clashes between black lives matter protesters and the police law enforcement or even with trump
11:07 pm
supporters but law enforcement and everybody else is doing pretty much everything to avoid that so it's too early to tell how this will play out but so far all peaceful stuff on simon's in tulsa thank you. let's go now to some of the other stories making news at this hour a u.s. court has allowed the publication of a book by former national security advisor john bolton denying an injunction requested by the white house to prevent its release president trump reacted to the decision by saying bolton would pay a quote big price the book will be published on tuesday. china has unveiled details of a new national security law being drafted for hong kong it says beijing will set up a national security agency to crackdown on dissent the city critics fear it will crush hong tang hong kong's autonomy. a small far left party in germany has installed a statue of soviet leader vladimir lenin in the town of gas in cash and mainstream
