covert 19 that. i think are by just kind of tired of it really we didn't we didn't do all this up or for all the other presidents you know and saying so i just don't see why i would act any different this. trump defended uses ministrations handling of the pandemic even as cases across the united states surprise i say hundreds of thousands of lives we don't ever was even. he said high infection rates come with more testing. when you test of what you do testing to that extent you can find more people you can find more cases so i said to my people are slow to test things out please he blamed media coverage of covidien and the threat of a legit violence from social justice protesters follow supporter turnout in tulsa.

well he chose to ignore protesters pleas for racial equality and an end to police brutality instead he focused on branding himself as the law and order president. we are. it's a catch phrase that echoes from the time of nixon as the country appears to be moving towards a new era inequality trump holds on to the same campaign formula culture wars and division in the hopes of mobilizing his banks. correspondents deafened simmons was intel so for the rally he told us about some of the day surprises tulsa oklahoma had 3 surprises ready surprise number one for the president of the united states who wanted to have a strong coming out of the gate with a new invigorated campaign start here in tulsa oklahoma but a lot of people were no shows a lot of charm supporters were no shows the arena wasn't fully booked never ever

a slaughterhouse in germany how can this keep happening well this comes down to has been attributed so far to some of the current working especially living conditions that many of these workers have to live in most of these employees nears and many other slaughterhouses as well particularly in western parts of germany migrants contract workers from bulgaria and romania and these living conditions that many employees have to put up with is it's no secret that it's something that's been discussed time and time again both by local authorities and national level here in germany as well but the meat processing industry in germany is so powerful and a lot of the the firms say that they need these contract workers to keep meat prices low in germany and so far that's how they've been able to pretty much turn a blind eye to some of these issues. that we're seeing in the accommodation for these migrants and how is this affecting the coronavirus numbers here in germany
11:10 am
what we've seen just yesterday was the reproduction rate jump again here in germany it's now at 1.79 and that's been attributed the robot cock institute says that's the public health institute. in germany due to these outbreaks that we're seeing not only at the slaughterhouses in western germany but we've also had some cluster infections even here in the capital in berlin as well 7 locations in the southern part of berlin now being quarantined about halfway through that quarantine so so far though the public health institute has said that this isn't something we need to be too worried about and at the moment the number of new cases nationwide is still relatively low where you mention that these working conditions are quite well known what do we expect will happen to prevent this from continuing with a more cases like this continue as well so far the 6 and a half 1000 employees to nearest processing firm they've all been quarantined but at the same time there's also other people who don't work at the meat person for
11:11 am
who live nearby they've also been quarantined because they live in the same apartment buildings and the state government cabinet in the state of north rhine-westphalia where this outbreak is in western germany the cabinet is meeting today to discuss whether they need to have a wider quarantine put in place so at the moment it seems that it has been contained to the employees at this meat processing firm but of course that off a is that you know all these are you going to abide by the quarantine that's been fences put up in some places to try and keep people within that quarantines but of course you know emotions are running high it's not something that people necessarily want to abide by we've got another hot week coming up in germany as well particularly in that part of jenin these are not conditions that people want to be kept in at the best of times let alone and. yeah no no one's to be indoors or out will get ready thanks very much for us up to speed at which will be keeping a close on the story. here's
