but 165 narrow sidewalks the side of the bridge and so the large marchers as they cross had to walk by and lewis was of course picked to lead that group and you cannot see the other side until you reach the top of the bridge and so as they reach the top of the bridge and look down they saw a big group of alabama state troopers that were amassed there and who were given instructions to keep the cross or people marchers from crossing. any means necessary often violence and so whenever the violence started of course was among the 1st of the attacks so there literally was blood on this bridge that day in $65.00. you know our viewers around the world should know that that bridge has been made famous by that historic event is named after edmund paris who was a leader. who is a leader of the ku klux klan

a white supremacist how can that possibly be. well as of course there are many confederate monuments and confederate landmarks here across the south and in alabama and in 196565 horses for it had been named. a confederate general also a u.s. senator from alabama and of course he was a grand dragon in the ku klux klan which is a very high ranking member of that your contention and so forth to be such an ardent racist and such a divisive figure that is of course a problem today and there have been calls for this bridge to be remains and congressman lewis is. by reporting. the. original. love and respect. but they believe that keeping the bridge divisive figure only reinforces the trance

kane's north korean state media say the person suspected of having the virus crossed illegally from south korea. for more i'm joined by josh smith a reuters correspondent in seoul south korea. i have to ask you 1st i mean if confirmed this would be the 1st case officially acknowledged by north korean authorities how credible is this well as with all things north korea claims of having no cases has been met with a lot of skepticism due to the lack of hard information coming out of north korea so there is a lot of skepticism but this isn't their 1st case that being said we also haven't had any firm cases otherwise so if this does in the turn out to be the case a lot of people expect them to potentially announce that they've had other cases as well which will be something that people are watching very closely josh in this
5:11 pm
case has been linked to a person whom authorities claim defected to south korea 3 years ago and just returned back to north korea what if anything or we to make of that. well south korean officials have said that there is a good chance that someone recently returned across the border 5 border and they're checking into that but it is quite interesting folks that we've talked to know that this would potentially allow north korea to blame south korea rather than china for example for any outbreak in north korea at the same time they also know that it could allow the north korea to see bass if it decides to accept aid that's been offered by south korea basically framing it as kind of a form of compensation for south korea's role allegedly in sparking an outbreak in north korea josh smith no doubt we'll be hearing more about this case from you
