the process of voting right now and so joe has been very clear as the american people are let the american people feel that seat in the white house and then will fill that seat on the united states supreme court and to your point susan that the issues before us can be more serious there's the issue of choice and i will always fight for a woman's right to make a decision about her own body it should be her decision and not that of donald trump and and the vice president michael pence but let's also look at what else is before the book the court it's the affordable care act like literally in the midst of a public health pandemic when over 210000 people have died and 7000000 people probably have what will be in the future considered a preexisting condition because you you contract of the virus donald trump is in court right now trying to get rid of the affordable care act and i said it before

and it bears repeating this means that there will be no more protections if they win for people with preexisting conditions this means that over 20000000 people will lose your coverage. it means that if you're under the age of 26 you can't stay on your parents' coverage anymore and here's the thing the contrast couldn't be more clear they're trying to get rid of the affordable care act they'll buy the saying let's expand coverage let's give you a choice of a public option or private coverage let's bring down peony premium senate and lower medicare eligibility to 60 thank you that center that's true leadership you know you mentioned earlier vice president had said the president was committed to maintaining protections for people with preexisting conditions. and but we do have this court case that you are supporting your administration supporting that would strike down the affordable care act the the president says president trump says

that he's going to protect people with preexisting condition conditions but he has not explained how he would do that and that was one of the toughest nuts to crack when they were passing the affordable care act carrick so tell us specifically how would your administration protect americans with preexisting conditions have access to affordable insurance if the affordable care act is struck down well thank you susan a but let me just say addressing your very 1st question i couldn't be more proud to serve as vice president to a president who stands without apology for the sanctity of human life. i'm pro-life i don't apologize for and this is another one of those cases where the such a dramatic contrast joe biden kamel harris support taxpayer funding of abortion all the way up to the moment of birth late term abortion they want to increase funding to planned parenthood of america and for our part i would never presume what judge in the county barrett would rule on the supreme court of the united states but i

will continue to stand strong for the right to life when you speak about the supreme court though i think the american people really deserve an answer senator hers. are you job biden going to pack the court if jamie cody baird is confirmed me have been 29 vacancies on the supreme court during presidential election years from george washington to barack obama president of nominated in all 29 cases but your party is actually openly advocating adding seats to the supreme court which has had 9 seats for 150 years if you don't get your way this is a classic case of if you can't win by the rules you're going to change the rules now you've refused to answer the question joe biden has refused to answer the question so they gave merck and people would really like to know if judge amy kone barrett is confirmed with the supreme court of the united states or you and joe biden if somehow you win this election going to hack the supreme court to get your way i'm so glad we went through a little history lesson let's do that

minutes and 46 seconds that america witnessed during which an american man was tortured and killed under the knee of an armed uniformed police officer and people around our country of every race of every age of every gender perfect strangers to each other marched shoulder to shoulder arm in arm fighting for us to finally achieve that ideal of equal justice under law and i was a part of those peaceful protests and i believe strongly that 1st of all we are never going to condone violence but we always must fight. for the values that we hold dear including the fight to achieve our ideals and that's what

still trying to put her life back together and i must tell you this this this presumption that you hear consistently from joe biden kamel heris that in america systemically racist that is your biden said that he believes that law enforcement has an implicit bias against minorities. is is a great insult to the men and women who serve in law enforcement and i want everyone to know who puts on the uniform of law enforcement every day and president trump and i stand with you and it is remarkable that that when senator tim scott tried to pass a police reform bill brought together a group of republicans and democrats senator harris you got up and walked out of the room and then you filibustered senator tim scott bill on the senate floor that

slurs and donald trump when asked about it said there were fine people on both sides this is who we have as the president of the united states and america you deserve better joe biden will be a president who brings our country together harris and recognizes the beauty in our diversity and the fact that we also thank so much more in common than what separates us by susan pencil me give you a minute to respond thank you suze i appreciate it very much you know i think this is one of the things that makes people dislike the media so much in this country says. that you selectively add it just like senator her stupid comments that president trump and i and others on our side of the. center here is conveniently omitted have to go after the president made comments about people on either side of the debate over monuments. he condemned the k.k.k. neo nazis and white supremacists and has done so repeatedly you're concerned that

he doesn't condemn neo nazis president trump has jewish grandchildren his daughter and son in law are jewish this is a president who who respects and shares all of the american people that you talk about having personally prosecuted i'm glad you brought up your record senator thank you but i really need to make this point when you were when you were da in san francisco when you left office african-americans were 19 times more likely to be prosecuted for minor drug offenses than whites and hispanics when you were attorney general of california us increased the purport of the disproportionate incarceration of banks in california you did nothing on criminal justice reform in california you didn't lift a finger to pass the 1st step back on capitol hill mean the reality is your record stage of myself the president trump and i have fought for criminal justice for fake your vice president for its creation with choice and opportunities for

african-americans all of our bank is there and will do it for 4 thank you you know there is no more important issue than the final issue that we're going to talk about tonight and that is an issue of the election but itself he attacked my record i would like a documented let me give you 30 seconds because we are running out of type that. first of all having served as the attorney general of the state of california the work that i did is a model of what our nation needs to do and we will be able to do under a joe biden presidency our agenda includes what this administration has failed to do it will be about not only instituting a ban on choke holes in crowded holes thank you not only thank you senator i would like to go through these are points that you made earlier in the hour and i want to talk about the election itself before we have to but i want to talk about the connection between what joe and i will do and my record which includes i was the 1st statewide officer to institute

opinion or your point he had a job to do tonight and he did it whether we like it or not he used the key words so we are here in a battleground state in ohio it's really like the poor are neck and neck and like his religious stands his anti or portion stands are really important how did he do on that topic and idea how so again although what i believe is not what he aligns with he did a good job of putting highlighting the key words of what his followers and trans ballers want to hear he's a good job of record stating that so although i don't agree with that he had the key points his polish wanted to hear and he reinforced what his boss wanted to hear so i think you would see it would was able to kind of win over the those who were kind of doubting and down to really knowing if they should stick with goading poor

republicans or rather move to democrats i'm not sure if he does that exactly i think he reinforced the voters he already has in terms of swaying i'm not too sure he said it. in terms of rain or saying i think he had a job to do and he said it thank you to go i will turn over to alicia initial one task come on the harvest was facing to really energize those who didn't really agree with everything was joe biden who were kind of on the edge of they should go whoa to go nor did she put out this wife tonight i absolutely think she did and i was able to view that previous presidential debate which biden and trond and where trump more sallys of his personality biden a little less so. in this vice presidential debate i definitely think kamel and matt kind of balanced out biden's more than

a passive energy with her bombastic barry to the point have all of her points ready to go she directly address the viewers who kind of and that and acts and quickly she also address paints directly and i think a lot of the voter base that biden is after is looking for energy that can go up against trump and i definitely think comedy delivered on that front tonight how important is it for black americans that she is a daughter of a mother and father from to my column does this play a huge role yes i would say so for black americans although a lot of people would say well she's just making and you guys are you know a dose like american descendants of slaves how was they'd the same a lot of black people they look at her and they see themselves they see their mothers they see their grandmothers they see people that they relate to especially in a way that really have we haven't seen since former 1st lady michelle obama so i think

she definitely appeals to a lot of black americans who you know maybe they don't necessarily agree with all of her previously previous experience as the district attorney but they're like well we love that she's in the position and she's in the position that she might be in essence president and we want that to be the face of the country given the age of joe biden he would be 7080 years old on the inauguration day he would be the oldest president ever it would be elected so i think it's fair to say she is only this really a heartbeat away from the 1st. black president of the united states this is this country ready for that. person bringing you know as a black woman i think we are ready i mean i don't know about you personally but the country like is the country ready for that. to me of the country whether they like it or not they should be ready the exact same kind of concerns were mirrored when

president obama was president obama was elected in 2008 people thought their country would arrest and ra aids and we would have no country but he was elected and he was able to use some of peaceable service 2 terms as the 1st black president which no one thought they would see in this lifetime their lifetimes and i think yes black woman can be president of the united states they were ready for hillary clinton what what's any different from a black woman calmly harris well who are clearly didn't get elected so the country obviously wasn't ready for a reclusive middle east that sure at the time maybe they weren't but after the numerous tragic events that have occurred during charms presidency in addition to it is in my opinion very poor handling of the coronavirus and the thousands millions of people unemployed at this time highs on employment that we've had in years maybe it's time by a primary i mean passes thank you so much to go there so this is the mood here in
