short winter days look like after work in the dark and back home in the dark the lack of light has an effect on our mood. it's not a myth the winter blues is scientifically proven. in our latitude about 10 to 15 percent of the population suffers from winter blues or winter depression and they complain of symptoms such as lack of drive a gloomy mood joylessness and increased fatigue frequently however they also complain about ravenous appetite and a strong need for sleep. it's no wonder have always been dependent on daylight. we lived outside it was straightforward as long as the sun was shining we were active at night. without sunlight we rested today we may have to get up when it's still dark and we spend most of the short bright face indoors we're living against the natural rhythm of daylight. even in winter time we should try to spend one to 2

hours a day outdoors to get enough light otherwise we feel dull and melancholy.
