on saturday, have backed his unsubstantiated claims of election fraud. the rally was mostly peaceful, but as night fell, some trump supporters clashed with counter demonstrators, and a stabbing was reported. police say that at least 20 people were arrested and they aren't ready to say goodbye to u.s. president. donald trump. thousands of protesters march in the nation's capital in defiance of the election results for them. president elect joe biden stick dury is fake news. like if you look behind me right now, and you tell me that biden won this election, you're absolutely insane. the deep say is 0 against john, doesn't matter. everyone's a guess and i don't believe for a 2nd there's tons of voter fraud out there. so much evidence that he was. there's no evidence. there's tons of evidence denying the result of the vote count. turning a deaf ear to state election leaders from both parties and ignoring court rulings
10:03 am
and judges and various swing states and they march, they insist the election was rigged, and that this fight isn't over. it's are going to start chopping is the one for us . it's like fake news is complete, all of it is like file real news and you'll be able to find out the truth. president donald trump and his lawyers have not presented evidence of voter fraud in their numerous lawsuits. still his supporters take him at his word. they believe he was victorious, and his win snatched away by the democrats. hope is that true? i think that's why we're all going to stop the city. president elect joe biden and vice president elect kamel harris 12020 presidential election by taking back the traditional democratic strongholds of michigan, wisconsin, and pennsylvania. and by winning 3 states, a usually vote for republicans me but trump isn't admitting defeat. in fact,
10:04 am
on his way to another round of coffee, he jumped by protesters smiling and waving, thanking them for their blind loyalty. and they say they won't believe the results until they hear trump himself concede. and with me in the studio is william glue craw from the u.s. election team. william, good to see you. all right, so we heard from some of these people who were at this pro, trump rally, but who exactly are they which people are showing up to show support for trump? well, supporters and organizers were calling this, you know, the 1000000 maggie march, which of course is a riff 1990. s. civil rights march mostly for men, the 1000000 man march. so we should definitely not overlook that. that connection there. you know, these are donald trump's, most diehard supporters. these are people who are flying in from all over the country, as you can imagine, just how fervent of a believer you have to be in donald trump and his, his baseless claims that he won to come in, you know,
10:05 am
drop what you're doing and come into the to washington fly from far away, and these are not, the only protests were happening. we saw much smaller events happening in arizona and florida. some these hotly contested states of course, won florida. he's lost arizona. and these are just people who will, nothing is going to convince them because donald trump is their guy. and you know, we see a smattering of some far right groups. but also just people are organizer politically identifying, you know, to anybody or anything other than donald trump. so it's a very wide range of people on the conservative end of the spectrum who feel like this election was stolen from and nothing is going to convince them otherwise. all right, well you mention that there were other protests elsewhere in the country. the one in washington d.c. was the largest, but william just how much of a threat are all of these demonstrations, all of these unhappy people, and how much do they threaten the transition to a new biden administration? it was the largest in washington, but of course was nowhere near that mill in person that they were claiming,
10:06 am
you know, authorities and police were saying there's a maximum, maybe 10000 it is a minority of a minority. you know, these are not all of donald trump's supporters and actually draw from a fairly broad spectrum which we saw from the election just how many votes he won, and how much support he does still have in the country. so while they are a minority and they should not be given too much credit and too much attention, we just have to look back to recent history, you know, in 2009, when barack obama came into office, there was this upsurge of resistance to his, his administration that became the tea party, which itself was not an actual party. it really kind of meshed into the republican party and really push the republican party much further, right. much more conservative and much more, much less willing to negotiate and to find common ground with democrats. so while we don't see any kind of organization yet with these smattering of people we saw in the streets of washington, they could definitely going into a by the administration form something to really, you know, counter joe biden's agenda. there are still several weeks before he does take
