a well it's clear that protesting has become more dangerous how has that actually affected the movement. so the street protests are definitely getting more dangerous and that means that there are fewer people out on the streets so you know earlier just walking around riding around town. the struck the thought struck me that you know there's parts of the city in you know normal you know who are to shops to go out shopping doing their business and there are parts of the city that look like a war zone and so we've really shifted away from what we saw earlier protests you know kind of entire neighborhoods out in the street singing walking to sampling making speeches things like that into very concrete. distinct locations where there are very pains and standoff with police where sometimes you do see that things like water cannons and tear gas and bullets being shot. friday well we saw that in

here in germany state and federal leaders are meeting today to decide whether to extend the country's coronavirus lockdown until now germans have supported chancellor angela merkel's cautious approach but opinion polls now indicate that they want the country to open up despite warnings from medical experts. to how much longer that is the question many are asking at the moment and lock down that began in early november is dragging on and many germans are growing increasingly tired of it. and that if you're committed i'm really hoping for the easing of some restrictions that we get to see something other than closed shops and restaurants so yes i do hope we're going to open up a bit in how it's been obvious cause i'm unemployed and i can do anything i can work anywhere and nothing so i just sit around at home. but it passed there's got to be some kind of prospect that some things are going to be possible again soon.

defendant has been sentenced to a detention center is this verdict what was expected. what a sentence today is slightly softer then expect. the. 16 year old boy he was 14 when he participated in a protest and arrested in 2900. centers to a detention center today not only he is the youngest contractor for rioting charges for 2900 protest but also today a sentence that made him the 1st of contact for similar charges to forge friesen turns so this is one of the iconic case says 7 for the 2019 protest and they're speaking about their detention center centers you will hear him

well 6 books by one of the world's most best loved children's authors are being pulled from publication because of racist and insensitive illustrations the caretakers of dr seuss's legacy says it's a 1st step towards promoting greater inclusion for all children some adults think the move goes too far. dr seuss's books emphasize the weird and wacky the author's use of simple rhyme and wordplay has entertained and educated children for generations but his use of caricature of asian and black people in several stories has been criticized as being racist now in the business to preserve stock to seuss legacy dr seuss enterprises is pulling 6 of his titles the move has angered many who claim it's just another example of so-called cancell culture. what people need to realize is if dr seuss king canceled what can't be

i mean really this is a kid's book to me i think everyone should desensitize you know. not a guy who gets offended easily and i think this whole society is way off the hook but dr seuss enterprises says the books to try people in ways which are hurtful and wrong the business made the decision after months of consultation with panels of educated isn't experts many of whom have applauded the move. they were very very thoughtful about this and i think they recognize. you know these books really don't fit with the way we think today about to people and so i appreciate their decision and i think that they've done it in a way that still recognizes.
