windsor castle following a funeral service in st george's chapel in the castle grounds the country will hold a minute's silence at the top of the hour in his alma coronavirus restrictions mean that only 30 close relatives will attend the ceremony and will reflect the prince's close ties with the armed forces and his many years of public service. will bring you live coverage of the procession the silence and the funeral mass here. and throughout i'll be joined by d.w. culture correspondent robin batterham here in the studio i do u.k. correspondent shell that chelsea till is in the wind and we'll hear from both a just a moment. first let's take a look back at prince philip's life and times also known as the duke of edinburgh he was the longest serving a british royal called sort spending more than 70 years of queen elizabeth's side
