let's bring in our correspondent in moscow emily shore when she's covering this for us emily what more can you tell us. well we know that the shooting took place in a school just outside of the center of cazan in a kind of suburban area because on is located in the southwest of russia over a 1000000 people live there and according to official report shots were fired at that school and there was an explosion this morning officially and now 8 people are dead according to officials and 20 people have been injured the dead include pupils and at least one teacher and the attacker has been arrested according to officials now the area around the school has been sealed off by officers of the national guard now ambulances are working on site as well and the president of the republic of tatarstan where cousin is located made an emotional statement he's on the scene
