get new fuel grade uranium, which is expected to take some amount of time. let's take a look at what german chancellor olaf shows said in a recent newspaper interview. about this very issue shows telling newspaper munich that he wholeheartedly support the phase out of nuclear energy. never looked the less if there was a way to extend operating times for one or 2 years without problems than he expects any one would hardly object to it. he says that's obviously not possible. and so he's not going to spend a whole lot of time on that question or i shoals, in that case, focusing on the technical aspects of keeping it nuclear going. but what does german industry say? well, my colleague, japan a j lou spoke with the head of the federation of german industries recently and asked him if nuclear should be part of the solution. while, while the nuclear on the long run, will be a contribution to the world's energy equation that's still to be seen. there's a lot of innovation underway. and i'm really curious to see how new nuclear

reactors, you technologists, may change our energy mix in the future. short term, the contribution is limited. well, i mean, of course the german government is now heading for more production of electricity with coal. is this the right decision given how many emissions are carbon emissions? we'll see from coal production of energy. while it's definitely not a preference, but frankly, it's the only alternative that we currently have to substitute out russian gas. and that the russian gas supply is fragile to call it the best. we see that every day. so the, the only short term alternative us to burn more coal and pull that forwards on a, on the total salo fall for the earth. it will not make a difference whether we do it now or later on. it's not that we like it, but it is the only open alternative that we have. well, obviously natural gas is no longer being used for energy production of at least for

the time being. i'm other industries also rely on a natural gas for, you know, creating the products, especially the chemical industry. is there enough to go around? well, german industry? well, that's the reason why we should save whatever can be saved in order to keep the machines running to kim production processes running even over the course of the next winter, where germany or middle europe will depend on gas supply from russia, with all its uncertainties. one year later, we'll have more energy terminals, a better supply for a liquefied natural gas. so it is a short term measure where we need to boost, pull all strings in order to get our reserves for the next winter up and filled. well, what is it exactly what i see from the government, of course, has been a lot of discussions about what to be done. what is there that industry expects the german government to do now? or the most recent decisions go checkley along the lines. what we have argued,
