public. that will happen in approximately 30 minutes to an hour after that there'll be proclamations across the city of london stretching in the older areas. the old city gates into charing cross up proclamations taking place there. and then in fact, populations for the rest of the weekend through sunday, across the entire country as well. we know that the flags which have been lowered to half mast out of respects for queen elizabeth will be raised. and that there will be all sorts of different ceremonies including canon salutes as well. dick carl, and ask you the question that i just put to hannah, which is a, a bit of a, a tricky one. what do people expect from their new king who is just taking on this role? well, you can tell by how many people have been gathered outside of these official bands that have been taking place in london. the many people are anticipating and wondering what they can expect from the new king. of course,

a couple of years ago he at she admitted yet no, actually when i am king, i'm gonna have to stop that because it's unconstitutional and said that there is this kind of separation of royalty and, and politicians that is supposed to be relatively strict. that of course has always been relatively fluid. i mean, we also know from reporting over the last few years that there were various different interventions from the royal house while the queen was still in charge and also to the families benefits on regulations that wouldn't necessarily apply them to her land. so to some of the places that she owned. so this, this barrier between royal interest and an elected political activity has never been complete. i think it would be naive to think that it would be. but i think prince king charles now really has to show that he stopped being

interventionist. so i think his, his views are very well known party, politically. he's been very quiet, which is, you know, fairly smart thing to do if you're supposed to be uniting the nation. yeah. but yeah, i think he's gonna have to turn that right down now. and are you able to comment just on the pictures of us now we're looking for prime ministers. we seem to be taught is really wide shot. yeah, yeah. they're all, they're all toward tour at each other in parliament for years. and now they're chatting away. there is a wired shot though of a lot like i've thrown a big red chair. i guess the king will sit in the big row chair. i think that's what he's used to doing this with house or wait for her. yeah, he's sure he's to, to come in and make a statement about his mother and he's going to sign. i think also proclamation. yes, i'm and taken oath about protecting the church of scotland for you know, for archaic reasons that slightly different from the church of england and they're all these things that needs to be ironed out. but yeah,

people, most people in the nation have seen anything like this. this is the 1st time that it's been televised and a ceremony such as this has not happened for some 70 years, many people gathering, even though they can't see what's going on inside directly. they want to be here. just to see a witness, a bit of history. we've seen a couple of cars passed by now. those 2 black range rovers went past and a rolls royce limousine winds passed to my right as well. so we are expecting that one of those vehicles may contain inside the new king making his way to the accession ceremony. we haven't yet seen him on camera yet, but everyone watching as well on their smartphones. the, the local media is covering that live and many people wanting to witness history today. and i can, well imagine i'm just curious. i'm gonna come back to hand a clever here in the studio, seeing all those former prime ministers who were at each other's throats for 4
