accomplished my tell him of carrying 11 lead a jugs of beer buds. why want to be a waiter? a server next year, so profess. probably not. i'm going to go get a bit. ah, spinning a night outdoors under starry skies. sounds very romantic, at least if it's not raining and there are no wild animals running about now. i must admit that i personally would choose a comfortable hotel over camping, but british travel writer, luke waterson, has discovered some original and even luxurious places to sleep with a view of the sky. and even i could imagine spending the night in some of them. ah yes, it is possible to go camping deep in the wilderness and still not have to do with that creature comforts. one place to do it. is this former camping ground in

northern island? wow. amazing walk of years. a beautiful bed and this incredible nature right on the dawson puff. camping is changed. it used to be just a field, a basic place to pitch a tent, and a puerto lou a place to get water a little more. now obviously it's so much more than i. glancing is a term for camping with a touch of glamour. it's become very popular. whether it's a lodge in the mountains, a tiny house in the woods, or a micro lodge on the beach. there are many unusual places to sleep under the stars . luke waterson of england has checked out a lot of them criss crossing europe and bedding down in the open air. he's tested luxury outdoor resorts, as well as the most beautiful spots to camp in the wild. you can see here water fascinates me about her camping in the middle of her wild nature.

just look at this view. i've got a lake to myself. i've got my own special panorama that no one else is going to have more and more and more people want to have it across europe. the figures for overnight stays in camp grounds of climbing even before the corona pandemic. and registrations of new cap vans have nearly tripled in germany since 2013. but nature lovers don't always have to make do with a no frills tent. there are quirky possibilities to cocoon, like beach chair here on germany's coast. all for the feelers dangling over an abyss in austria. a bit cozier is a night and a decommissioned cable car in the swiss alps. lieut. woodson and cobalt. the carry walk review over 200 such accommodations in a book for the lonely planet travel guides. what we were looking for was some of those more creative, back to nature experiences,

ones that embrace different aspects of the outdoors, but aren't necessarily just campsites. it could be anything from shepherds hots to a 19 fifties fire truck in aberdeen sheer to a tree house. one of europe's most luxurious accommodations under the open sky is the fin lock forest hideaway close to the shores of loc earn. northern ireland 2nd largest lake is a cluster of glass bubble domes. gillian bare created them together with her brother on their parents form a camp ground that the gold owns are so special and because of where they set and completely immersed within the nature of the forest. and there's complete connection between the gas and the inside. the 1st thing if they, when they wake up in the morning, is the sky. the trees us around them and hear the birds am and not complete. a martian is, is just so you need to to any style of hotel room just as

a merced in the forest is the spar. luke morrison emphasizes the health aspect of spending time in nature. and there is scientific proof for it. in 2017 research has got 5 urbanites to spend some time in sweden's forests. after just 3 days, they measured low as stress hormone and blood pressure levels. now, guests can stay in the huts originally built, especially for the experiment ah, what you focus on. a more basic thing, simple pleasures. just looking at the trees around you, looking at the looking at the birds listening to the wildlife, hearing the sounds of nature, and as a result of doing this, your, you're relaxing in a way that you never thought possible before. ah, that's been law relaxation has its price starting at the equivalent of around

$350.00 euros a night. a high and back to nature experience. i love while camping. i think the idea of just scanning the landscape, looking for the place where moors meet forest meet river and choosing your spot to just pitch a tent. that for me is absolutely authentic, genuine wild experience. but having said that, 3 days in the pouring rain, and i'm not going to say no to something like this. now, one way to immerse yourself in nature is to simply dive into a lake. but a night under starry skies in a bubble dime would be quite a bit cozier noon. well, glancing is one way to go when it comes to travel. and another popular option is driving in a camper van. now this is the dream of many tourists who come to europe,
3:43 am
including 2 american u tubers who've taken on a special challenge. they are making their way through europe in an electric band. now last week they discovered germany and austria. and now their adventure continues on to italy. i hey, everybody. erica, out here. once again, our electric camper being road trip is continuing. now went through our plan today . it happened the van and had further south to get out of the crowds, off the beaten path. the 1st we had to make a very special stop here in the city of murano. the murano in the italian province of south payroll. here in italy. it's nestled in this valley between these huge mountains around it there tend to do in the area hiking to visiting wineries or you can do like us and head down to the old town, which is filled with all of these amazing structures spanning the centuries. it's
3:44 am
absolutely beautiful. yeah, it really is not a bad way to spend a day here in italy. and you can check out some of the amazing capital in the area like this proudman dwarf castle, which is known for sprawling gardens and beautiful panoramic views. yeah, coming up here just for the views alone. totally worth it. you can see all the mountains in the area. you can see all the surrounding countryside and the gardens are incredible. they really do cover such a huge area. they have hedge maze is over there. there are tons of beautiful, vibrant flowers all over the place and a bunch of really cool look out points. you can get an even higher view of the area . plus there is an even charging station in the parking lot here at the castle. so while we're exploring the beautiful garden, our cars are not charged up. marano is also known for having some absolutely delicious cuisine. so we're going to stroll around the garden a little bit more and then i'm going to lunch. we came to a restaurant called portion brown, which is right here in the old part of the town. the 1st step we have this is the
3:45 am
sampling of all the local needs and the few of the cheeses we're really excited for is this spec noodle. so these are beacon dumplings out of habit for dumpling, but i read that it's actually very light dumpling should cut on their own with a fork, and using a knife is rude. i don't know if that's still true nowadays, but i got a beer here. oh yes, we got a local beer and a local one to try. i. alright, but now we're going to head back to our trusty camper van. it's wrote a little update on the charging situation. so we told you guys we were charging while we were at the castle. unfortunately, we did it something wrong or we didn't have
3:46 am
a card, right. and we did not really charge at all. you know, i have no idea where i am. i'm pretty sure the one way street i am going to be absolute wrong way. we had to go to a couple more spots and sadly the pumps were not working. but i think this one is going to be our lucky pump. you get the same when we use yesterday, so we're hopeful we're in luck where officially charging that's one thing we learned about this electric vehicle is that you really can't trust the range estimation that again, gone down by about a little over a 100 kilometer charge. while we've only driven about kilometers, so it's going down about double as fast as we're traveling. fortunately, there are likely going to be that store tonight and tomorrow we decided to move our air be up in the hills so that we can see nice drive. and we don't have to worry about charging for a couple days. all right, fingers crossed that our charge last long enough to get it to our destination.
3:47 am
maybe you guys with a little bit charge to spare? weird the tippy top of this mountain. we have arrived at our italian chalet we told you guys were going to try to charge our vehicle here. so this is what we have to do to. there's no outside outlets. we got to plug up here. got it going up into this is actually where we're staying. so that is just plugged in right here to the outlet and it goes right on down to the car. how long does the say to charge um 14 hours, 14 hours. that's not so bad and we're super low. we have power blue we arrived and our amazing villa epic views all around of all the surrounding countryside. the fog certain role in the ring darting. but i think that's r q to wrap things up. so we're gonna leave you guys here,
3:48 am
and we hope that you'll tune for the next leg of electro camper van journey. we're going to be moving even further south in italy next. i and italy, of course, is known for its great ice cream and who doesn't love good ice cream? well, pretty much in any season too. well, you often have to eat it fast so that it doesn't melt, but that however is not a problem in is 10 ball. when you eat a special turkish ice cream called my rush. now, if you order a cone, it helps to have a little patience. and it's done, bo grabbing an ice cream cone can be an adventure. even a little show to rush ice cream is so thick and rubbery. the vendors can surprise their customers with all kinds of tricks and make them laugh. and it makes buying ice cream, an event, an event that can take a while. i think it's like,
3:49 am
i mean, i think that i actually saw online and i went to 3. the show is impressive and i think is very good though. i hope things like this will be around for a long time. sounds like this can only be performed with my rash. ice cream more, don't warmer, especially centuries old. i think resin and okay. flower makes it nearly as thick as gum, and it shows that it melts very slowly. this laura, we put on a little show here. oh boy. we scoop out generous portion sooner than any one who manages to catch the comb. gets the ice cream for free and give the own little blanket on. i would do so i knew i belong, but i might we put the ice cream on the cone. wrap it in paper and give it to the customer. yeah. i do hear you are, enjoy the money offer and the last trip come out of your group like the ice cream fell off. it's in this to make this kind of ice cream,
3:50 am
goats and cows milk up boiled for several hours to achieve the right thickness ban . sugar is added and select a traditional turkish ingredient made from ground up her full. okay. cuba that makes the ice cream even sticky. napoleon, nothing about the recipe for this ice cream has changed over time. i in a thinking began, the thought is right. or, of course it, the consumption of it has increased the large 3 chin a bit of the. so today a little we use machines to make it bigger. that's much faster. see, i know us from the, it's now to lamar. the ingredients have remained just the same material. i know the mixture has stood and cooled for 10 to 12 hours. the consistency is nice and creamy, then perfect to pill, the temperatures very good to just the way marsh ice cream should be. the ice cream
3:51 am
is flavored with pistachios, almonds, or one. so the customer has a range to choose from. extends to storing it at minus 40 degrees celsius of us. we feed the ice cream until it reaches the right consistency, and we can portion it more easily. fill that in with so as you can see where we work it until it's completely elastic sooner or later, the customers always get their cones and scoops some of them sooner. obviously with that again because of a visit to us, is almost like a funny movie scene here with the minute to people have a good time here and leave with a smile. during the, in my rush ottoman ice cream and assemble, took everything off with a sprinkler fund, and of course,
3:52 am
it tastes good. tim sh, since i've been living in germany, i like my surroundings to be neat and tidy, even having a mess like this, lying around on this table makes me somewhat nervous, so i'll just put it in order to quickly before we continue. all right, well that'll have to do for now. well, the cliche about germans is that they love their order. they even have a lot of words in saying which include ordinal, oak, my british carly rachel stuart, explored some examples. pardon the last sign? that must be order number of believe, order house of life, out of everything in order to put in on you are heavy in order or no order puts a lot in the german language. so other germans really as orderlies, that turn afraid, suggest you to show money in some areas of life because without order chaos would
3:53 am
in golf, you indulge in germany. yes. it's not always. yeah. because that's how it has to be worked with that order. the form on order is structure and without the structure a society would work and wouldn't work. even chaos has structure is in and for down and have always been taught to be orderly. let's take a peek into a german home for some orderly cleave. when you think of orderly, minimalistic homes, maybe you think of japan or scandinavia, but you know, the popular swedish home furnishing company, the one with all that particularly order the storage solutions. well, most of its products sold in which country something that struck me when i moved here is that practically every german household seems to have a variation on this furniture items that way even collector can be orderly. an important point of order in the home is rubbish. germans take tress operation very
3:54 am
seriously. you should separate paper flat good, organic waste of the healthways garden way round glass green glass white glove bottles of deposits, electric waist. oh, and battery order is particularly important for people who live in a shed building a clotted hallway, messy laundry room, or a battery cough a show 5 ways to make enemies to be in the buildings. house order rules will often stipulate which part of the staff you're responsible for cleaning, who puts the bins out and who's responsible for keeping the patient outside or clearing this way, the ins and south west germany, even him up with the cova or sweeping week. essentially a cleaning rater you might find the cab assign appears outside your door if at night, just a friendly reminder and then as noise, you've got to keep it down after about 10 p. m and all day on sundays and bank holidays. each local government has a department dedicated to order the ordinance amped or office of public order among
3:55 am
it by thus duties is noise control. so they're likely to be the wifi. so now you're breaking a noise rules on your neighbors and have enough of course not all germans of such big fans of order. and there are times when the germans seem to flaunt the orderly reputation on mat. taken easy, for example, when the street people letting a sheet fi weapon owners would apart and there are regard for health and safety. then as the pull to ob and a tradition of smashing crockery to bring luck to a soon to be married. couple off course carnival season when the supposedly straight laced germans put on crazy costumes and make a lot of mass in the street. but even then they can't quite shake their deep rooted orderliness. because the last float in any carnival parade is sure to be the rubbish truck. with an we're that it's time to wrap up the show in an orderly fashion and be sure to check out our website for this week draw and a chance at receiving a some d. w goodies. and of course, please follow us on social media as always,
