is that pretty fortunate by no means to be seen as close friends, or call the off 4 to me. she was thrusted 7th. and she was doing the 2 deals on big fox all sports and on behalf of the cri on them. and that's all the ships the quote will they see it was connected with the board from slam. so com to put in the soccer lab to demonstrate that she can she shouldn't be very, very useful. but uh no, it's, uh, it looks different. and so once employees extremely suspicious and who is very careful about, she's sick, you reach it. uh, well, uh, the ships did long lesson and will become even more suspicious. and what does that portend for everyone else who watches boot and then has to deal
11:16 am
with them? i think it means that revisions in the russian will become even more in dances, monthly due to the fact that both of them needs to demonstrate is through much weakness populates us. so they plan that the kremlin now sees co folder a boat. the eighty's with read that to uh, put in show, uh well, they have them on sleet and it leads me many here in the west had been rooting for poor and to fail and would like to see him go. should the west be careful for what he wishes? yes, by all means. and so you formulated, so imagine that it would put rates. now without daniel corporations. how are the pro who'd been somehow transferred? it will create very serious throb. oops. and what we've seen yesterday,

i assume the old slips about possible simeon is when knock mississippi lives. those who are in charge of a huge space resources. but those who can read up in the break to foster way and who tim use media survey. so 6, the goals kim leads in this part of the workforce struggle, which will start immediately when with him disappeared or deep thanks to a nickel, live petroff with the german institute for international and security affairs. thank you, sir. my pleasure and rushes were on ukraine raiders on despite the situation at home, ukraine's president of a lot of his, the landscape says the armed rebellion in russia has exposed the gremlins weaknesses and is putting the spotlight on fractures in the russian leadership and
11:18 am
opinion shared by many ukrainian citizens the fighting is fierce on the front lines near zap, risha, and southern ukraine. one of the focal points of keeps counter offensive. while russia was confronted with arms, rebellion ukraine's forces were regaining ground. many and keys welcome the news of russia's domestic troubles. with assurance line, joy, what is happening in russia, which the conflict between precaution inclusion was coming for a long time? yeah, i don't know what may come out of it, but i wish they would shoot each other and die equal with one person in particular was enjoying the chaos and the enemy camp ukrainian president followed him. is a landscape showing you been only the well sold?
11:19 am
the buses of russia did not control anything, nothing the tool stolen with it's complete chaos. a complete absence of any predictability or, and it's happening on russian territory. it's 11, keep the lady even so ukrainians know the war isn't over yet. the kremlin and sis moscow is still focused on the invasion. so those are the additional military operation continues. a fight is on the front line, a showing heroism. they are very effectively repelling the counter offensive of the armed forces of ukraine. and the operation will go on and then i would put those outside the eastern city of don't ask ukrainian artillery battery hammers away.
11:20 am
they say they will keep fighting this voice until they drive the last russian soldier off their soil. w special corresponded abraham is in ukrainian capital keith. i asked her earlier if there was a lot of shopping for it going around in key right now. yes, michael, at this point we've heard from the ukranian president, we've heard from the ukranian ministry of defense and the foreign minister in their reaction can be summarized, as i told you. so about russia to a the world. there's certainly using the chaotic 24 hours that we just experience something really, you know, events really unprecedented, unprecedented in this war. to say, russians don't know what they're doing. they don't know what they're fighting for. and these events show the internal conflicts that rush or really suffers from
11:21 am
whereas ukrainians there united in their cause and their united in the defense of their country. and we saw that before administered demitrix really about tweet yesterday. that anyone who thought that russia was unbeatable or unstoppable is, has now been proven wrong and urged countries who have chosen to remain in false neutrality as he called it, to come to the side of ukraine. and to see this as a sign that the ukranian cause is the where the cause that's on the official side of things. but there's also the level of data, the people at least here in a, in key of life went as normal yesterday. we also have to remember the citizens here, you know, on the date, on the daily they're doing with the aftermath or the consequences of being in a war zone. just about a 10 minute drive from here. the night before last was presidential building a 25 story residential building was struck as a result of russian
11:22 am
a miss aisles and i had gone there with my team to see what was going on. and there was a swarm of volunteers who were very much occupied with and you know, the help that they were providing to the survivors and the clean up. and so we have to, if we have to always remember that, you know, against the backdrop of all of these machinations power into your politics. it's the ukrainian people here that have to deal with the consequences. and i think that a lot of their energy and a lot of their, um, you know, a concentration is paid attention to, to these daily efforts as well. as you mentioned, missiles continued to be fired into keys. but is there a sense that the disorder in russia could play to ukraine's advantage on the battlefield? the short answer to that is, it remains to be seen. we just have to wait and see what happens within the next couple of days to really understand if the events of yesterday did in fact present
11:23 am
this window of opportunity for ukraine to advance. but there are a couple of other things to consider here. this is happening in the middle of ukraine's counter offensive, which has been going slower than i expected. we know that last night, you know, ukraine tried to attack a bus moved in a, the east. and so there does appear to have been some kind of window of opportunity there. but at the same time we've heard you create an official say that there were no real signs of russian troops retreating immediately and leaving their positions . now, it is completely normal for that kind of detailed information from the battlefield to take a couple of days to reach us. there's been typical of ukraine throughout this war. they're not eager to give out this information very fast. so it's really a situation that we're going to have to watch and observe, and it's something that will continue to, to watch closely for our viewers here from cuba. as you can imagine, there's a lot of questions about the future of the wagner, a mercenary group at this hour. it's
11:24 am
a group that's associated with some of the bloodiest battles in ukraine. what does the wagner group mean to ukrainians? as you mentioned, the that group has been associated with atrocities. you know, certainly the, the, the, the battle of for boston which has last for weeks and months uh, has a, you know, the wagner association all over it. and they're also associated, you know, with reports of some, some of the, you know, more horrendous practices on the battlefield. and that's something that people here in your cleaner, acutely aware of. but i would say, you know, these are russian forces. and i think for the average ukrainian or russian forces, whether that's military or mercenary is the enemy. and that's it. it is abraham many, many thanks is always let's get more of the use reaction to this. the joining me now is dw brussels correspondent, terry schultz. terry e. u members appear to be very cautious about reacting to the events in russia. why
11:25 am
is that? that's true, where we saw a lot of statements yesterday. well, things were underway, talking with leaders talking about how they were securing their own territory along the eastern plank, putting extra border restrictions on the border with russia. today, everyone's gone quiet. there's been no statements that i've seen so far from you leaders or from national leaders like the baltic states, nor from nato. so i think everyone is just waiting to see what happens next. there's going to be a lot of analysis needed to figure out what this means for what russia, what this means for putting in therefore, what it means for the european union. um, for nato. how prepared was the you for these developments, or was it a surprise? and i think when we see this report in the washington post that the us learned in mid june, that's per goes in, was planning something,
11:26 am
some kind of insurrection against moscow. you can be pretty sure that the allies were informed. this is not something that affects the us primarily, and they would very much want their nato allies to be ready in case something happened. so i would say that just like with the invasion of ukraine, where there was so much intelligence leading up to that event. they knew it was going to happen. i mean, nobody can predict weather vladimir put and will change his mind at the last month moment. and i would imagine that you've get it. provision is, is addressed as unpredictable. they would, would, may have been surprised by the moment at which it happened to they may have been surprised by the fact that it was reversed. but i think that they would've definitely made preparations for protecting their own territory. knowing that this was highly possible. terry, how worried is the, is you a better potentially destabilized russia? i don't think anyone in the european union ends, nato would like vladimir putin to stay in power. so the stabilize
11:27 am
russia is a different question, particularly because of nuclear weapons. everyone wants to know who is in control of the nuclear facilities, the button as, as we always talk about, who would, who wouldn't be responsible in this situation. so i don't think anybody wants there to be a freefall in leadership in russia. at the same time, i don't think anyone would be sorry to see vladimir putting go and someone more democratic, someone more amenable to repairing ties with the west would come to power dw. so terry schultz and brussels many things i a seizure, reminder of the latest developments at this hour, the head of the wagner mercenary hoops gainey for goshen is set to be moving into exile. and best sellers for going cold off is attempt to over to our rushes military commanders after striking a deal with the kremlin. wagner forces have now withdrawn from the southern city of la stuff. on dawn, where they had occupied the district and military headquarters,
