to does of stuff. and it really seems pretty clear that russia wouldn't even be considering this move to increase the could scription age. and this is a $230.00, and this is the age of 4 for which kind of a young russians have to do a yes. compulsory military service. yes, russian says officially best they won't be sent to the front. but it's clear that not doing this fluids no reason they need to prepare land for the front. and there's a real fee that this will be the ultimate a. what does that tell us about the wider state of russia's war against ukraine is man power. the biggest weak point here, you know, they've kept a very tight click on the casualty rate. the official numbers that the defense ministry put up, put the number of dead only at 6000. as your report pointed out,

independent media outlets who put that figure at somewhere near the 50000. you know, it's, it's very difficult to know because they've been keeping such a tight guard on the sick as the independent media outlets based on the calculations on kind of, you know, official funeral rates and so on. so it's, it's really difficult to, to guess, you know, but, i mean, but the fact is, the russian still has a lot more man power then ukraine, cuz just because the population is, is many times larger. so unfortunately, they couldn't keep going for one. and when you're trying to get a handle on the numbers, trying to get the most reliable information possible out of russia, where are you looking to find that? i just, you know, it's, it's, it's difficult. i mean, i think in this case, we have to rely on the biggest, put out by these very well regarded, independent media outlets for this one, cause medusa and obviously they conducted their research in a concert with

a tubing in universities. so i think these, these figures have pretty reliable, they've been working hard to really get a look at this. yeah, i also wanna ask with the increased chance that men are going to be forced to fight . and now also more recently seen grown attacks on russian soil. do you think that these factors will come together to produce any kind of see change among public attitudes toward the war on ukraine? as you know, already we've seen kind of a public opinion and russia are shifting to woods gonna hoops for piece talks. we've seen in recent opinion, polls that move in 50 percent of russians would like that to be peace negotiations . of course of the war plays well with a very vocal minority, but in fact most of the population by now pretty unhappy with, with things are going. but that doesn't unfortunately translate into any protest.
