a delay launch, it marks the start of nasa zip 61 permission to the i ss, test 6 in space, the on pablo. so nearly as welcome to the program. the spanish football federation has weighed in to support its boss, reese, ruby, alice threatening legal action in his statement. the federation claims he did not lie in saying because he gave to player yet and also was consensual which she refutes this after the spanish women's team and several, many players said they will not play for the national team. if ruby alice refuses to resign, there has been mazda of criticism with calls for the football association boss to step down. the spanish government is also threatening to intervene to force ruby

alice out a beans. what cups of victories overshadowed when federation chief luis, will be alice, gives football a jenny her most so on the lips. but could this be a defining moment for spanish football, spain, centreville sport think so? you could almost almost say, i think we are going to position for this to be the meet to spanish football because they brought us the person in charge of spanish boards. i should apologize to the players because they didn't deserve this this weekend for someone to be alice remains defiant, despite facing calls to step down at the big i'm about to say so serious that i have to leave after having achieved the best performance in the history of spanish football from the beginning you think i should have to resign these? you know what i'm going to tell you something i will not resign the notary. i will
10:03 am
not resign the one i will not resign. the spanish government can not sag the head of the independent federation, but it is seeking his suspension before us bolts type. you know. meanwhile, there's widespread anger over will be honest, his actions and the horrible in his attitude is almost demented. he didn't get the image of the president he should have. and for me, it's shameful. for me, i'm going to say one of the ones that i get that they have to sort of resign because i think we all agree that what he has done is not right. and even more so being a public figure pressure under be honest, as mounting as members of boy jump in theme, say they won't blankets pain again until he is removed. well, we can talk now to samuel hunter, an expert on spanish football and presenter at spanish lead. got tv, samara, great to see. so the spanish football federation is heading back with a legal challenge. so this is the latest twist in this story. can you give us some
10:04 am
more details to yes, so the federation has decided to put under the statements. it was released a few hours ago in which it doubles down and protecting the resort of the alice, the president's. it makes it very clear recording to them that he did not lie, that he was telling the truth. and by way of trying to support that argument, they put forward for photos which they call as evidence. the thing is these photos are very questionable. they look as if they've been manipulated, obviously they will have to be investigated properly. not will have to be confirmed . but if you put them up to the images that we saw on television, they don't match. so something looks a little bit strange there and it also just highlights the links that they're willing to go to defend themselves. and as you pointed out, they have clearly stated that they are going to take legal action against put pro, which is the union that represents jenny and most of the player in question. so it is quite bizarre. it is quite embarrassing at the same time and
10:05 am
a bit mind boggling. this is what they're willing to do at this stage. incredible development summer and i've dozens of players are refusing to play for spanish national teams. so does this mean the upcoming international games will be cold off or, or what happens to that's a very good question. um, to be honest with you, i don't really have the answer at this point in time. but i would imagine that that would be the case if they are refusing to go and they have no one to to replace the cuttings and they would have to be called off, i would imagine. and in that same statement, the federation didn't lead to that. and reminded these $81.00 players that they have an obligation to represent a nation if they are called upon to do so. but they have stood for us, stood firm, these women, both the current branding and champions, as well as former players as well who compose this list of signatures. we have said that they will not be returning to the spanish national team until the leadership is removed. so should that be the case?
10:06 am
i don't know if we'll be able to find others who are maybe within the younger categories or lower categories of the spanish national teams. would be willing to play those, those games that you speak up, or in fact more will continue to say no, we stand returning. and most of these women and we refuse to represent science at all the best is populate that way. nice every year in spain, obviously to have the pressure and to be honest is massive. it's dominating the headlines. there are his days numbered in charge of the spanish football association that you would have thought. so you would have thought that it was going to resign yesterday only for him to make that big user. and so now it really is in the hands of the government to ultimately make that call. they have open proceedings in terms of getting him suspended. it's why in the mid term that happens and put into practice a temporary suspension. i'm not quite sure, but as of right now, the president of the csc, which is the counselor for support here in spain, has said that they had initiated these proceedings,
10:07 am
that they are going to take it to the t a. d, which is the administrative courts as soon as monday, if possible, where they would have to then have movies or the others continued to give explanations. and then they would decide on the severity of what's happened and determine whether they will suspend them for a certain amount of time. as far as i understand it, if that suspension is then appeals. if the appeal fails, he could then receive vine from simple anywhere between 2 and 15 years, and perhaps maybe even longer, maybe him for life. so it will be very interesting to see how this does play out, because it really is now in the hands of the government. as he is very clearly stated, he's not going to stand down by his own position. the question is, how quick is it going to be? how slow is it going to be like, given the fact that it is a such national interest and international interest? and there is so much attention and pressure on it. you would hope that's a swift resolution. can be made as soon as possible. well, we'll certainly be keeping an eye on it. i'm sure you will be to some right,

samara hunters, 4th journalist in span. thanks for joining us on dw. thank you very much. i a mass of space ex, have launched a 4 person crew to the international space station in a reusable dragon space craft of top a fall to 9 rocket. the astronauts from 4 different countries lifted off from florida, they'll short the dock with the space station. one of their main tasks over there 6 months stay is to determine whether micro organisms can survive and reproduce in space. engineers push their launch back from friday to review the capsule safety and life support systems will to get more on the mission. that's welcome to res, pulled her over the science and tack it journalist based in london. welcome to dw. so the astronaut will be approximately 6 months in space. so tell us more about the goal of space international mission to the i s s. oh,
10:09 am
well i would say is just like another nozzle emission to the international space station. there's nothing i would say particularly different about this one from the previous ones. uh, the space station has been kind of permanently accrued since 2000 as so this is just another 6 months rotation keeping research aboard the international space station going. so the interesting thing it's, it's about an international crew. there is the us to know who is of iran in origin . there is a russian go swing out a board. there is data in the us to not just morganson, and there's also a japanese us or not. so that's may be interesting that it's a very international mix, and they will be conducting all sorts of science and experiments on board the space station during their 6 months in space. and as you mentioned, yeah, there's a lot of research going on into, let's say, the physiological response of the human body of the space conditions to michael
10:10 am
gravity. but also they would be doing a lot of research, taking samples of the biofilms inside of space station, also some samples of bacteria. on the outside of space station, i have to spend some of these samples will be brought back to as well research as will study them in the laboratory to understand what the space environment adults 2 to 3 is. my groups will tell us a little bit more about some of the health risks in space. what happens to the body during weightlessness? yes, so our bodies have evolved on us. what are we have gravity? so every day, as we just go about our normal lives, we need to somehow act against this gravity. and for that we have muscles. and for that we have blogs, but the micro gravity. and we don't need that much sense so. so what, what happens uh, the kind of most known problems are people started very quickly losing their muscle
10:11 am
mass and their bone by their bone density. and for this reason, estimates and space need to have like very like rigorous workouts, particles they have to excise every day to try to act against this muscles, but still they lose quite a lot of muscle. they lose quite a bit of bone. so it is the biggest problem then obviously there are various kind of changes to the brain because you're, you're in a different sort of, you don't, your brain doesn't know what it's up words down because there is no up and down. there are changes to vision and some us or knows that changes to their immune system. so yeah, definitely a space. it's not the very human friend, the environment. and it's takes quite a while for those estimates when they return to recover of background. they're sort of like normal, normal level. i certainly doesn't sound like a a very healthy place. kind of hit tourism, pulled her over at science and texture and list enrollment. thanks for joining us on dw. thank you.
10:12 am
last we heard part of the missions goal is to examine the range of health hazards astronauts face. it's hope to can shed light on the hit their immune systems take, which has remained a mystery until now. space travel challenges, human health on many levels. the immune system also takes a hit some astro in hots on longer emissions to the i ss, developed persistent skin rashes, for example. many appear more susceptible to infections like colds or a cos. it's hard to tell exactly what's causing the immune system problems because the body is also affected in very direct ways because of the fluid shift, we have a higher training of the pressure, so more liquid in the brain. and then, so this pressure also squeezes the uptick enough at all. it might actually also squeeze the eye boards. so our vision acuity changes in space. so why does our immune system appear to work worse and space researchers in canada
10:13 am
may have the answer. they studied a group of 14, i assessed astronauts and found that many immune system james began acting differently after they arrived on the station. blood samples were taken before during and after emissions. they revealed remarkably similar patterns of how jeans were acting in the astronaut to white blood cells. white blood cells play a key role in fighting off infection. so changes in how their genes act could have an impact on overall health or the list of genes that are expressed that are have a reduced expression in space. and those things that are related to immune functions and that coincides with a higher risk of infection that after not swilling counter while in space around $100.00 immune system, genes grew less active in the astronaut white blood cells. soon after they reach
10:14 am
space. 29 genes grew more active, gene activity returned to normal. soon after the astronaut to return to earth, the researchers think the changes caused the immune system to work less effectively in space. one hypothesis is that there spurred by the wait list, environment, spacecraft, or a long way from the next doctor or hospital. so understanding what happens to our immune systems when we leave the fetters of gravity behind to keep astronaut as healthy as possible, will be key to planning longer space missions in the future, like those to the moon, mars, and beyond. here's a reminder of our top stories or the spanish women's football team say they want to play unless their football association boss resigns. recently we honors has refused to step down over in case he gave to play or any of us. she says the case was not concentra, nasa n space x have launched

a 4 person fruit to the international space station and stay aboard for 6 months and carry x experiments interested in health and sleep. inspect your up to date of next stop film types us to remote of western canada where people are fighting to maintain and after a short break, i'm just trying to more news on our website. the w dot. com and so you can check out the trast fashion as an environmental night a clothing graveyard in the to land desert. this is where things well the industrial nations no longer need and flight us textile ways get stranded fashion. watch now on youtube the.
