very much along the lines of what you were just talking about. i was sitting there watching this very closely taking notes. i've covered many of these debates, and my 1st thought that this was not going to go well, was actually watching joe by walk out on the stage. he looked stiff ticket, look a very slow. and then when he opened his mouth, his voice was raspy, and then as we spoke, he was at times, as we've discussed incoherent, but the word has been used here as has been used elsewhere. disaster isn't on medic . my mitigated disaster. not only were the optics tariff one was the performance terrible, but the actual substance of what bite and was saying and how he was responding to the things that protects the and the other attacks of that the trump was making. they were weak. they were sort of generic and in many cases they didn't come at all times. it was even invited by the moderators. you know, anything more, you want to say anything more you want to follow up. and the concern that he in the

campaign have to have is not only is what the spotlight and the, and the snapshot now mean for voters. but do they start thinking, oh wait, the elections of november for years, he'll be $86.00 if he's re elected. when his firm ends, is he capable of another 4 or 5 years of this? that's a huge question. what about donald trump? last night, he told a lot of untruth. what allies, whatever you want to call it, there was no real time fact checking. not it wasn't done by the, on the raiders. and that was part of these new rules. i mean, was that a mistake? it wasn't a mistake at all as far as i'm concerned for the moderators to try to play fact track. you can't do that every single time. somebody says something, you're going to jump in. what's the threshold? who decides? how long do you do you go with the fact checker? who should have been there last night with a guy named joe, by the facts that are on vitamins, a guy named trump. it's called a debate for a reason. they're standing side by side with one another. there were any number of

opportunities for both of the candidates, particularly trump. eric started particularly biden to respond forcefully to what his opponent was saying, whether it was about abortion, about the board or about you credit on about putting one after the other and, and by the simply did not respond. and so while today there's a lot of conversation about his hesitancy, and could he get through a sentence that is mumbling. if you forget all that, forget the, the, the, the, the, the performance and the style and look at the substance. it was, it was very lacking and that's where the fact checking should have taken place. how should frank, the media cover this campaign after last night moving forward? i mean, this semester, this is it territory that for no one has ever encountered before. me, can you think of anything in your professional career that was similar to this like this to the club closest was after one break into the base and i was, you know,
