the 3rd states as well. joining in, in that coalition to provide intelligence and interceptors, and just the regional connectivity to defeat these incoming threats. so it's extremely helpful to have more people, more operators and sensors and interceptors involved in these kind of defenses. now, what can we learn about iran's capabilities from this attack? did they actually intend to cause casualties? do you think it's always hard to say what the exact intention was. this was a significant silva. that's to be sure it isn't something like a few missiles here and there to send a political message. this is, at least as you had already reported, a 180 ballistic missiles. so the intention to cause damage is clear. but how, how much we've learned to your question about your runs missiles. it's kind of repeat

some of the lessons that we saw back in april that yes, they can launch this large salvo and it will cause a lot of terror within is real. folks have to go into shelters for decent amount of time waiting for this operation to end. and of course that there is a risk for escalation, but in terms of military capability, in terms of really affecting israel's, a strategic assets. and this, this right hasn't really changed anything about that it's, it's fairly weak. right? but israel, now i've said that it will retaliate then you mean it's in yahoo said around will quote, pay for it. what do you think that could look like a number of possible responses? again, just comparing what we saw earlier in april, back then is real retaliated in fairly limited manner. that struck a few iranian air defenses in response to

to downgrade, to see again. so tell me what stood out for you the most as well as you said, pablo. this was a very wide ranging very policy focused debates with the middle east policy for an east policy, very heavy at the beginning before eventually venturing into other topics like abortion, like immigration climate change, gun violence, and you name it. so this was less about the contrast of personalities between the attack dog, ferocity of j. the vans and the folksy affability of tim was more than one might have expected. but there are a few stand out moments. and one that i noted, especially was one where january 6 came up at 10 walls, directly addressing daddy vance, asking whether he thought a trump lost the 2020 election. we know that he did. j. d vance dodging this question, tim was calling him out on what he said was

a very dynamic non answer. now of course he also reminded people why j. d vance was on that stage debating him instead of former vice president mike pence, mike pence of course, having fallen out of favor with donald trump after he refused to help a trump with the election results. another stand out moment, of course, it was early on in the debate when both the candidates found their microphones caught after they both refused to move on from the topic of immigration. tim walls had called out j. d. vance on his lie about haitian immigrants in springfield, ohio eden cats and dogs stating that they were doing that to score points. and in so doing, they were the humanizing others. judy vance tried to engage the moderators in a debate about asylum policy. when the moderators tried to factional fact checked him, saying that the he said immigrants were there legally. so those are just a few moments. but overall, you know,

it was very policy focused. it felt like an actual debate as such, there were personal attacks, but they were quite limited. even though many claims were made in the course of that debate that fell between vague and downright falls. right? you know, plenty, plenty is to, to talk about there. so tell us, what are the american saying online and on social media? how are they responding to the debate? well, based on what i'm seeing, the emerging consensus seems to be that was clearly did his studying off. he clearly did brush up on his facts, but it was a van. so that brought in the performance. so i remember that we were speaking earlier. pablo about how vans just had more experience with unscripted events like tv interviews. and that is something that did come through in this debate. so vance was just slicker and more relaxed. and there were many moments of where tim was

performed. well speaking about abortion, speaking about health care and that january 6 moment that i talked about. but in general, he just seemed more on edge, she seemed more tens. he also seemed less conscious of the camera on him, especially in moments where he wasn't speaking. i've seen means online already around his face. now for j divide. so though i think this is generally less of a worry, he really does have an audience member of one or 2 impress speaking of what's happening online and on social media. donald trump has been posting steadily on tooth social threw out the debates, weighing in with support for violence weighting and with his own policy positions. and also, as trump is want to do attacking the moderators on tvs, janelle, we're running out of time. but briefly, if you could, how much sway could this have for voters ahead of next month's election? it's you know,
