spoken to a massive gathering in red rock, colorado. as the two-man battle for the presidencypresidency, there are new developments that could determine the outcome of this presidential election. and it would certainly raise new troubling questions about whether americans and then pass and then dossey could've been could'v. lou: not only was there live video and audio, but e-mails from libya that described the attacks of terrorists who carry them out in the white house situation room was informed as the 6.5 hour long incident unfolded. e-mails connect.

the top-notch security officials are connected directly with the controversial event. white house national security adviser tom donnelly, the director of national intelligence, james clapper, white house counterterrorism adviser john brennan, cia director david betrayers. all directly in the loop. one e-mail clearly stating in the e-mail that an al qaeda affiliated group al sharia claimed responsibility on facebook and twitter and has called for an attack on embassy tripoli. seven days after the attacks, jay carney was denying any evidence of a terrorist attack, despite the real-time audio and video of the attack, despite the statement that the cia station chief, despite the statements

from u.s. officials in libya and the libyan government statement from the very beginning that it was a terrorist attack. here is jay carney. >> i will tell you, based on the information, our initial information, and that includes all information, we saw no evidence to back up claims by others that this was a preplanned were premeditated attack. but we saw evidence that it was sparked by the reaction to this video. lou: concrete evidence. well, the secretary of state hillary clinton returned to the public eye and one parent principal purpose. the secretary defended the administration, despite all of the evidence against it are the choices it made and the charges that they did not act to stop the murders of four americans. secretary clinton tried to

dismiss those e-mails as credible evidence. we will hear her statement shortly. the obama administration has yet to find a possible reason for its refusal to communicate to the american people and explain the words and actions or inaction's when it mattered most. tonight, it appears that four americans are dead because no one on the national security team would act to save them. could they not believe their eyes as video showed terrorists storming the consulate in real-time. not believe their ears as they heard the gunfire from within six hours. six hours in which they chose not to respond. no one says why they chose not to intervene. tonight we have a clear trail of evidence of the white house from the state department, the central intelligence agency and the white house national

security team, that they knew within two hours of the first shots with a high degree of certainty that this was an act of terror. we will examine all of those questions here tonight. we will bring you up to date on the candidates, their pools, mood in the battleground states, i hope you will forgive us as we shake our heads a bit tonight, as we analyze all of that here tonight with kt mcfarland. that's a great night. also jedediah bila, and culture, and kevin williamson. and he took responsibility for

60,000 people, today, those people stood before the cameras to defend the administration dismissed the e-mails, and she warned against what she called cherry picking. one story here, one document there. >> posting something of importance on facebook, it is not the same thing. lou: our first guest says those e-mails prove that then dossey terrorist attacks were covered up from the beginning. running us now is kt mcfarland. what is your reaction to these e-mails with a wide distribution

stating that terrorists have claimed responsibility. >> they knew it was a terrorist attack. they had real-time videos from drugs that were circling ahead. he made up of fairytale. they said it was all about a youtube video, it was all about that video, and the like. the people at the state department, at the defense department, tte central intelligence agency, at the national security council, they all knew about it. all i can think about when i read this e-mail was remember the night that they got bin laden. and there was another video, it turns out, and that was another video of september 11 and that was terrorist killing navy seals. lou: 300 to 400 security

officials that received these e-mails. sent by the state department, sending them to the white house situation. the pentagon, the fbi, the director of national intelligence, the state department -- known almost that entire group said this is wrong. we have to help them, these are americans being killed. >> no, they were all busy doing the cover-up. the initial distribution was how many of those three or 400 people forwarded those e-mails. because i spent six years working in the situation. it went somewhere. i went to the national security adviser, and even went to the president. they have a little bit of an explanation. who knew it and what do they know, and was the president involved.

we knew that the president had a meeting within that period of time. were they planning to cover up then? >> it is impossible to extract the politics from all of this. but irrespective of the politics, how in the world can the american people be asked for this demonstration are ending. and for that matter, tolerated congress tolerate a congress that is inert on this issue. we deserve answers on a timely basis, and it is inexcusable and absolutely deplorable that this administration would not respond, fully, transparently, to the american people about the choices that were made. i know it's going to be difficult, but you would think that a man's arm, a woman's honor would suggest straightforwardness in the national interest. >> these were americans were being killed.

intelligence and defense department, career professionals are somehow getting blamed for all this. of us. you know something? you talk about congress. where is the mainstream media? why are they not treating us the way they should be treating us. this is a national scandal. it now turns out that they did nothing. lou: is it your sense that we could have prevented the murders of at least some of those four people who were killed? >> they went from one room to another room in the consulate and never made it out of there. some people went to building a mile away. they were evacuated to a safe house. the terrorist went from the consulate and what we later found out if there were two former navy seals that were found on the roof of that building with one machine gun, bloody machine gun. so they kept firing even after

lou: today on wall street, there was some good news. new home sales rising to 2.5 year high last month for the government reporting homes sold at an annual rate of 389,000. stocks started strong in the news, but enthusiasm waned. defeated by the afternoon. the dow jones finishing 25 points below, the nasdaq down a point. backing up a little from yesterday. facebook, the big winner today, a rally that started after hours kept rolling on into the session. netflix is down 10%, that should

be another 12%. the expansion into south america is moving somewhat slower than they had expected after a two-day meeting. by where they are until mid-2015. the treasury market we can all now, and the ten-year moving to 1.77%. a larger than expected increase in crude oil. a barrel of crude is now under $86 for the fifth straight day. the united states is now on track potentially to overtake saudi arabia as the world's largest oil producer according to forecasts from the energy department. u.s. oil production will average 11.4 million barrels per day next year. that would be a record just short of 11.6 and that could be fixed. u.s. production could reach

-0 million euros by the end of this decade. to help us make sense of this market, harvey eisen, great to have you with us. i was thinking about those crew members. it is nice to see. it is one of those feel-good stories. look at the market and the economy and we scratch our heads. give us a sense of what you think is going on first with the market itself. >> number one, the third quarter numbers are coming in a week. the market doesn't like after the election has really gotten tight now in the eyes of the average person. and it is something terrifies everybody. finally, ben bernanke has said that he is out of here.

if romney wins, he is certainly out of here. that is a big deal because this thing has been running on fumes. it has been running on monetary policy, and and if that were to change, that could have a huge negative impact. >> are you saying that the romney should hang on? we don't have to worry about this, by the way, until 2014. the least that is when his term ends. are you saying you want to keep that going? you have to be kidding. >> no, what i said is that people are now realizing that there's the possibility they can take this alcohol away from the alcoholic. that would be withdrawal syndromes and that could make a negative and. >> but looking at what we have, and that is do we pay attention to microeconomics, if you will.

and so many earnings matter more than we want. everybody was looking at a projection of 2.5 decline in profits. it looks it up and coming close to that. suddenly come the market wants to sell off. >> yes. lou: are we going to see a shift in direction or a full on production? >> i have great news for you. we don't have to worry about it for 13 days. everybody is when worry about who is elected and the results. i can't imagine anything serious, we are going to go right to the fiscal cliff. right into that. >> .fiscal cliff, people getting a little anxious about that from day to day. people getting a little anxious about europe. is that anxiety going to be

dashed. >> my best guess is that i don't know. they will bring it to the 11th hour and 59th minute and 59 seconds before they tell you they are pushing it off a little bit. we can't let it happen. because if they do, it's an automatic double dip recession. we go right back into recession. even these people that can't seem to get anything right, don't want that. lou: give us your outlook, if you will, over the next months and depending on which candidate you think will win. >> you and i have talked about this. you know that we will continue to talk about it until you get it right. >> this is madness. if somebody would've told you four years ago what was going to

lou: sometimes life in imitates twitter. romney close the gap with women and obama now trails were with men. so why isn't the media obsessed with obama's man problem? well, today, an addict, i am glad to tell you the least part of the media is becoming

obsessed with that very problem for the president. the gender gap is, well, it is actually starker when we look at men. according to the gallup poll, president obama has an eight-point advantage among women. governor romney has a huge advantage among men. 57% to the presidents 43%. it was split 50/50.

the rest of the mainstream media likely won't be spending a lot of time on this story. they are happy to try to tell you the notion of the celebrity president this is impressive. twenty of 21 countries prefer obama. they prefer obama to governor romney. oddly enough, governor romney had a margin they are with pakistan, they broke for romney. no, we cannot explain it and we won't even try. by the way, the bbc did not even tried try either. the american public is giving governor romney high favorability margins now since the presidential debate. in fact, the clear politics polling average, now shows

governor romney with a net favorability of seven points. and that is strong. 43% favorable and the president has a net favorability of my points, 50 to 45. so it is a chilling the crowds and candidates -- the governor attracted the crowds last night. i'm standing by. i'm waiting to see if the feeder outside. here it comes to mind to it. i have to bring this to you live. that turned out to be quite

something. the fact of the matter is, it is the biggest crowd yet of this campaign. president obama is still attracting crowds. i sat here and i looked and i realized what it says we have a 7% margin. forty-nine to 43%, that is actually 6%, 16,000 people showing up in denver, colorado, today for the president. he did pretty well, too. the president's campaign has free tickets for the tampa, florida rally tomorrow. they are still available. e-mail evidence of what was known all along. the benghazi attacks were led by terrorists. the "a-team" besides. ii this a white house cover-up? clint eastwood made big headlines at the rnc entebbe, florida. >> i think possibly now it may be time for someone else to come along and solve the problem jerk

[indiscernible] >> getting in a lot of trouules with the mails these days. started off with the delphi e-mails. but this -- i mean, it is just so typical of liberals and the obama administration in particular that when there are muslims engaging in violence who'd american liberals blame? americans. that hit pastor that florida, some filmmaker in california who is still being detained, by the way. that is their instinct, to the point of covering up the truth and lying to the american people going on and on about this movie trailer. lou: if this administration had been inoculated in some strange way from responsibility for its acts for -- i mean, the national liberal media rationalizes for the president when they don't get a good answer from him. they come up with another

process. >> oh, yes. and these are the people who are hysterical about two, three terrorists being water boarded a few times as guantanamo, but they don'' seem to mind obama killing americans in drone attacks, killing children, innocent children. i mean, i suppose you could be opposed to both, favor of both, but if there is going to be a distinction i would say what are boarding pardon the terrorists in which they do not die would be less bad than killing innocent children endure a tax. lou: are you shocked that the administration did not act to try to say at least some of those americans killed in benghazi over the course of almost seven hours? >> yes. yes. apparently they could have been saved. this nonsense with hillary constantly going on and saying this is the only thing you see on some of the other networks, her saying, well, lots of people plant -- can claim credit for things on facebook. that usually happens a few days

after the attack, not as it is happening. and they have arms on them. they have arms that are not just occupy wall street. it was not just a standard protest. they knew it. i cannot understand why they did not do anything. it cannot be, i would not think, a hush up cover-up from the beginning. this will look good for my reelection. we don't know, and we will find out because the media won't investigate in the administration is not telling guests. lou: what part -- part of the media will be insistent. and the dea that secretary clinton who i wanted to give credit when she initially took seemingly responsibility for benghazi ended immediately watch right back and said he's only taking responsibility for her apartment saying that this was cherry picking, looking at her facebook or twitter, just ignoring the reality that the national security team had access to of live video and

audio of the attack in real time they could not believe there lying years and nice. they have access to direct statements from u.s. officials in libya. cherry pick that, secretary clinton. i mean come on. lou: -- >> and the ambassador sang, we are in danger. we need more security. and the rowdy movie review involving individuals with small arms surrounding the embassy. it is baffling. lou: and the outlook for the election. what is your outlook? >> since romney became our nominee i have been absolutely confident that he will win. the country is really in trouble. i travel a lot out in america, and people are really hurting. if they have jobs of all, they don't have the jobs that they should be having. there are not doing business as well as they were doing. the entire black middle class has been wiped out in four years here. of course blacks suffer the most

from both illegal immigration never. lou: this is interesting. i don't think most people are aware that black unemployment has actually risen over the course of the obama administration. i said here the other night that if people were voting purely on the basis of unemployment that would move from 92 percent support for obama to something quite -- and what people would be voting for him because it stayed roughly in the range of 7%. lou: out only that, white people running shyster companies . green energy companies. the big winners here. i have not been a big winner on the green energy jackpot. lou: you don't have access to the obama off -- >> my energy plants work as well as theirs too. lou: at things you are missing the metric they judged these things on. good to have you here. >> thank you. lou: up next, governor romney still surging. if the "a-team" will tell us where the election will be one.

the state department e-mails, the 3-400 people. we know that it went to the situation room. they went to the situation room, dispersed across the national security apparatus and team. your reaction. >> what is interesting to me is that hillary taunton came out talking about this fog of war again. we have a lot of different information coming out. if you have a lot of information coming out and what did you feel that it was okay to make a very decisive statement blaming a youtube video. if you look at these e-mails now 110 alysian youtube video mentioned, a spontaneous protest those are both of the things that came out of her mouth. i think it is despicable. lou: and the un ambassador on sunday talk shows. also mentions peculiarly the lives transmission real time -- live transmission real time of the attack as it took place almost seven hours from the

opening shot, the national security team more a substantial part of it was watching and listening to that attack. now what is troubling is, as we understand what happened to howl in the world could they not respond, call and, as some have suggested, ac 130. i don't care. f18. i don't care what it takes. save those american lives. >> we have special forces troops 480 miles away. they were not sent or called. i think this is really a product of having a president who still thinks that his job is to give speeches. he is out to get his job is to do things. he thinks his job is to talk about things. they came up with an interesting story to tell about this after it happened, but shocking that they would sit there and watch this streaming feed. they were not expecting trouble, why was it over. selig we have a drone circling every consulates pyridine must've been suspecting something. they sat there for seven hours and did nothing.

lou: someone to talk to you about your assessment. your reaction, it's stunning. the more we learn the more questions arise about benghazi. >> let's assume for a second that the president or someone close to the presidents of these e-mails that first afternoon, late afternoon saying this group had taken credit, this offshoot. and yet still they cherry pick to the information to presented in a light most favorable, no sense that there were other options that they could present to the public, but then for me, still the most troubling thing of all is that the president goes campaigning. he goes to las vegas that day. to me, that is the most disturbing part because now we know he knew that some people thought it was a terrorist

attack. lou: when you say that day -- >> the 12th. >> the 12th. right. and so he goes campaigning even though our ambassador is dead and three others are dead and an attack on the anniversary of september 11th. i mean, when you put all of the pieces together and what we think they knew and what we know they knew, how dare he do that. >> talking a lot about how there is this vacuum in the white house. the situation, the tragedy has shown that > this. when we needed a president to lead, to stand up for americans, needed a president to intervene he was not there for any of that. he was worried about his reelection campaign. lou: speaking of the campaign trail, let's go to cedar rapids i'll right now. we are going said the following these candidates to see what they are seeing, of course and also it is instructive to see the crowds they are attracting. romney has suddenly begun attracting significant crowds.

let's hear what he's saying. [applause] >> in your 40's or your 50's, these are supposed to be the most productive years, the best years for you to be able to put some money aside and say for your retirement, perhaps helpless child in college. hopefully have more value in your home as time goes on. that is what these years are supposed to be. i was able to speak just a few days ago -- lou: that is governor romney in cedar rapids i was giving a speech. there. your judgment about whether there is romney momentum. is that fact or fiction? and to what degree do you feel one candidate or the other now has an advantage? >> i think there is definitely momentum. if you look at a lot of the swing state polls, you can look

for yourself and see a state like ohio where at one. barack obama had a huge lead. now the race is pretty much even i absolutely think there is momentum and a lot of that had to do with the debates or mitt romney was finally able to define himself and not fit into the character that had been painted a fan. lou: do you think the country is ready to fire barack obama? >> i think managerial competence looks pretty good. they're not looking for a while romantic philosophy or radical change, a guy who acts aquino's what he is doing. it has been a real problem. he is just not get this. lou: your column in the post, pretty well celebrated. >> well, one of the mysteries to me is the sense that a lot of people say they like president obama personally more than they like his policies, but if you watch him in these debates by and large he comes across as very unlikable. nasty. i mean, even on the campaign calling ron kneele liar. in this kind of jokey and serious nature of the way he is running this race make some
