private sector supposed to len money to people. somehow, that is going to work. >> yeah, administration should focus on, is promoting policy that spur economic growth. but they are focussing on policies like raising minimum wage that kills jobs that leads to merdependence on government, in washington d c. walmart was planning on opening business, i would expect dc politicians would be happy about this. but they passed a bill to raise minimum wage just for walmart over $ 12 an hour. they are killing the jobs, and leading to more people to rely on the government. charles: michelle, i've been listening to the president on the summer economic tour. like beatlemania without the crowd. he is becomes more and more bold

about the idea that is not an economic policy but a fairness doctrine. that all of success in america is part of a public domain we should share. he is getting closer to closer of saying this is how it should be. we should have some form of prosperity no master who is earning it. >> it has become such a big nanny state, the money crisis is because everyone was entitled to a cheap home. this is going to open the door to more risk, excessive lending. charles: these same banks, if they went through with this they would be sued 5 years from now for the next bubble.
8:03 pm
but i guess, at the end of the day, there is no way this is going through unless american public. decides this is the direction we want to go. this feels like a do-or-die moment. do we want to stay with thing that made us greatest country in world or trying something different or fair. bargain for so-called middle class. >> i think that next election is a question of do the american people want a nanny state there is a belief everyone that deserves health care, is entitled to health care, and a house, and look we have over 7% unemployment. 46 million people on food stamps, 16 trillion debt. i think that american people need to make a decision what kind of country do they want, do they want one where everyone relies on the government, and takes care of them from trade tol--cradle to the grave?
8:04 pm
charles: fdr had a lot of the same things, you think about the timing, it feels like president is coming into same scenario, a big time recession, he tells people, we tried the free market. and capitalism we -- give it to me, i'll be you know we'll have a pa ter nallistic society but make sure it is fair. >> i don't think that american people want the life the julia where the government takes care of you in every area of your life. if we' a good economy, we need to get the government out of the way of entrepreneurs and business people, allow them to have lower taxes, reduce burden them to open businesses, allow walmart to come in, then we have -- we don't have this high unemployment.
8:05 pm
charles: i saw that life of julia thing. we'll talk to you. >> government taking a cradle to grave benefits thing too literally, now testing a summer program giving electronic food stasstamp card to kids. costing government more than $13 million, this is benefits gone wild. >> that is what we want to do? give cash to kids. that makes sense, do you think they are spending it on nutritional foods? they will buy condoms and beers, don't think that -- they will take the money for whatever they can. there needs to be adult

supervision. >> the arguement is dee dee is a heartless person, and people are starving, and she does not want to help them. >> unfortunately, children cannot earn enough money to pay for their own food, and they don't have responsible parents. charles: what? >> their parents are not responsible, but not 12-year-old's fault that parents get a job. charles: they are get something form of income. it does not feel like a novel where kids are running around with a tin can, saying can i get some porridge. >> the grave and cradle parts are expensive but you cannot afford it.
8:07 pm
a 12-year-old cannot feed themselves and a 90-year-old, cannot pay their own health insurance, it is between the tradcradle and the grave. charles: the idea of giving the kids food stamp, cards, this is nuts, i don't know what this says to them, some say it iss@ compassion but i don't think so. >> first, i am trying to get over fact that jonns is for less laws and regulations with working. but, when you look at food stamps, they are at an all-time high, no one should o hungry, but at the end of the day it comes down to an economy that is not providing jobs or mea meansr family. charles: there is the wic program, so many programs, over a hundred million people on the
8:08 pm
food programs, some would argue this is a way of getting a hook into mouths of kids early on, to rely on the government. >> they will get beef jerky, and get soft drinks run out the doors. >> idea is you don't have to do it yourselves, someone will do it for you. >> we're already there. let's give out the goodies,. laws, not for children.r labor >> they.

8:10 pm
religious programs, private charity, i do not see this epidemic will child hunger. >> that is where private sector steps in. makes sure we feed our children at home first, when it comes down to it, this is about a government who wants to grow its influence, spending and power. when it comes to it, do we really want to have another program where we have seen, the way ttat fraud and abuse that has happened. with 50 billion in medicare abuse over year, and an irs gone wild. is this solution to end child hunger in u.s., there areo many other options. charles: you know 14, in 4 years they will be voters. >> thank you, guys, talk you to later. charles: democrats, celebrating good news on the deficit.

charles: no pain no gain, this is a perfect time for me to debut my weekly segment. every week i will join neil and break down the hot spots or sector on my mind, we talk about the tech bubble that never burst. all year, i have seen headline whether or if bursting of bubble would go or happen. but if you listen to them look at what you missed. facebook up 117% from low points. groupon 300%. tesla 442%. those are amazing gain, jonathan hoenig is joining me now.
8:14 pm
jonathan, they lost people a lot of money. >> they did. they confused a bull market with a bubble. they are their different things we're in middle of, what is a healthy bull market. not just technology stocks but stocks in general, this is a long time coming, with a decade of flat markets for s&p and dow, a couple days ago market of at new all-time highs. we're not in a bubble. charles: i get so frustrated, audience knows, regular people are not making money. you read a headline, rich get richer, and everyone gets upset. why you are upset? you can get rich the way they are, you are on the mall making them rich.
8:15 pm
people continue to miss it, a large part i blame media always talking about next correction, next explosion, and leg down. >> charles, it is the fear that worry about next correct that fuels bull market. as you know you lived through bubbles before. i have, think back to 1999, "newsweek" magazine, everyone is getting rich but me, publishes booking caughted the hundred best internet stocks. and classic, pets.com sock puppet. we have a lot of cash on sidelines, a lot of investors worried about the market. >> you know, this is without a doubt styliest. -- stealthiest, bull market hated by mankind.
8:16 pm
wire nowhere near the technology bub trebubble from before. >> it happened during 1999 it happen back in 2006. it seemed that everyone and his brother was becoming a real estate agent, bull markets are built on tout doubt, like i think we're in gold is built on hope. you are likely to see stocks move hire, they are correct. anyone have not be all or none with stocks. about real estate.funny you talk i have a sure fire way of knowing when a particular asset will top out, when mo gets into it that is it mo got in stock market, we crashed.
8:17 pm
mo said he is getting into real estate, i know there is eye problem with housing. >> you don't need a friend like mo, just look at investment company institute numbers, inflows in and out of mutual funds. nothing like we've seen back in 1999 or major tops. charles: we're up. a lot of money on the sidelines, $140 billion went to sidelines, public is skeptical, we are bullish thank you. >> thank you. charles: all right lance is getting strong armed by the law, at least turned author now turned defendant. the legal mess that will have your head spinning.
8:21 pm
charles: all right guilty of doping, new accused of duping his fans, a group of consumer in california suing lance armstrong for $ 5 million. he denied using steroid in his book, making his autobiography fiction instead, do they have a case? nicole said no chance at all. >> you know, this is a money grab. this is an opportunity for lawyers to make money off a class act suit, people paid $20 for a book, they wanted to read something sensational, they got it. they had to read to to be a member of the class -- >> i think we are froze there kelly is kel y there? >> i am. >> here is the thing, i get what nicole is talking about a money grab that is pot calling kettle black, the guy who went to
8:22 pm
ultimate money grab, lei lead to the public and sponsors, i have no sympathy for him. >> you are right. he did all this, his doping was designee to make money, he told books to make money, he aggressively lealy lied about id people that looked up to him, have a right to get it back, lawyers are probably going to make the most but there is a case, a class action for everyone that was duped into buying this based on his assersions he was alla -- legit athlete that was false. charles: nicole's satellite is gone down, we're having technical problems there. i will stick with you on this, kelly. the thing is, i'm not too concerned about who makes most mmney. i think there something deeper more important about the fact
8:23 pm
that in this celebrity culture, if feels like people get duped every day, more and more, some are willing to get duped but some are not. and maybe there should be some sort of a message sent. >> i think that is a way to teach a lesson, and also holding athlete accountable like arod is his suspension. showing public dissatisfaction with his idea, he held him set himself out to be a certain level. it is all fall, public gets duped, celebrity, high profile athletes, they get treated differently, why should he get away with it? even if just $20, they got to read something? he said it was true, he knew when he said that was false. charles: let's just extent this quick, you mentioned a-rod, you
8:24 pm
know, i saw him play at yankee stadium, a few times, he was on steroid, i want my money back is that pushing it. >> you continue is pushing it. you went to see the team not an individual player, he did not say at that time he had not done steroid there is a little bit of distinction. do not be surprised if you don't so that. >> kelly thank you very much. >> all right, another day, another healthcare surprise. more changes. coming, gather your family, but cover their ears, this could slam them. nd trade execution, we route your order to up to 75 market centers to look for thbest possiblprice -- maybe ev better than you expected. it's all part of our goal

8:27 pm
charles: remember when president obama said this. >> no matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise this the american people, if you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. period. >> you can keep your doctor, if you like your doctor, or he'll carry plan, you can keep it. >> if you like your doctor, keep him. >> you will be able it keep your health care plan. period. >> is there a white out for that, period? small businesses are required to provide coverage for workers but not workers families with cost rising guest what is next,
8:28 pm
spouse and your kids is the next cut. david, we have this debated, on fox business, people say that ttis is a falsehood people are not losing coverage, not separated from their doctors. but small business owners we're told a different story, what is happening? >> well i can tell you what happened with us, i'm -- my brother is the owner, i am part of the family, i have same healthcare coverage as our employees, what we have done, and had to do because, cost of premium has skyrocketed, i said, you know other part we're missing we were promised there would be no rationing. the cost is so severe you cannot
8:29 pm
afford it. small business, i cannot go to a largest chain of hospitals in the area under my current policy. there are current hospitals that will accept it, and certain that will not. that is one way that i can get around that to pay additional $ 1200 a year above what employer pays, what is happening. small businesses are struggles, trying to keep the policies in place, for their employees and cuts have to come from somewhere. charles: but let me, ask you, i actuallyon a small business too we have all these different options now, are you saying if euthere is an employee with a family, that employer can be covered if he just oofers employees insurance but cuts out rest of the family they don't face penalty? >> well , what is happening is -- cost is so great, you can't afford to keep everyone in the loop.
8:30 pm
we don't -- the none of your new employees that come onboard, we don't pay anything for the family, we can't afford it policies have gotten to expensive. the things that you used to do, you can no longer afford to do, insurance rates are too high. families being left out in the cold, or employer -- employee has to pick it up. >> what about existing employees that you have? are you finding that you probably will have to start to ask some of them on opt out? >> well, you know we have not got tonopah that point, they have to chip in, have we gotten to point where we can pay to maximum level, if you want too cope your family in there -- if you want to keep your family in there the rate is up 25%. we will pay your not family increase, there are only so many dollars in the pile.
8:31 pm
charles: a lot of people finding themselves, the workers will be covered his wife and children, and -- a mess. we're happy when you come on we appreciate it. thank you. >> thank you, soon. charles: as if first health care surprise is not enough, need to our your doctor, how about, get in line or join a group, with to the touting 30 million more americans on an inevitable shired system group will be a new trend. you may be in a company of strangers. this is way that they are, where we're headed. group check ups? >> well, that -- that is right. which 30 million people getting covered under obamacare, the doctors time is swears, they are improvising to see as mean peoplmany
8:32 pm
people as they can. charles: how does it work, we walk in take off our pants at the same time? all lineup in a row, and ben off and cough at the same time? >> i hope not, a group therapy session for people sharing same health conditions, but this is the problem with obamacare, doctors are retiring or dropping out of medicare programs. because they don't want to deal with mandates and regulation that obama is creating. charles: and. this is just a basic numbers game? you talk about adding 30 million people to a system lard, you know short of talent. it will be a disaster. >> right. we had all kinds of reports about physician shortages, baby boomers are getting older, more physicians are retiring there is a strength on america's while
8:33 pm
system -- health system come january. charles: the thing that no one wants to talk about. rationing, this is going to be -- it is a realty. i know, that struck a nerve on presidential election. but, this is a true, true fact of this new healthcare law. >> well, healing care is becoming less affordable. not more, to keep premiums down a lot of new, change health insurance plans restricting access to network doctors, you may not be able to see your current doctor under obamacare. charles: baby his assistance or nurse but not a trained physician? >> right. doctors time is scarce. they have to do what they can to spread themselves as thinly as possible to cover new people. charles: all right, you know, we keep covering this, this is a giant swath of the economy that
8:34 pm
impacts every important, it is not looking good it looks frightening. we appreciate it when you come on chris. >> thank you. charles: all right. next, you are not goiig toes to be miss this. in this box, is future of the fast-food industry. if i don't eat it during the break, you can find out what is in it. 8:39 pm
have to come out with something new. it just tells you that europe is a little bit soft, it's not just mcdonald's, but it's about every industry over their. charles: in some way is mcdonald's feels like apple. they have the dollar mmnu that took off, they had a few things that were extraordinarily integrated. now it feels like maybe they are in some kind of an idea rut. >> well, you have to have these products out there that are engineers and bring in customers and frankly, you know, back in the 2000, this is where you win as an american company. he went to europe to sell your goods. now that the u.s. is leading global growth,. >> it helps if you have a new product that people want remapped mcdonald's has one of the greatest laboratories for

charles: twitter has announced that bruce willis is out and harrison ford is in for the expendables series. katrina this says that celebrity tweets are huge. katrina, i love that. these mega-wealthy guys have gone at it over money. >> is not just the fact that it's over money. because that's not a surprise. but i think that somehow twitter seems to reserve itself it seems like for it perez hilton, john mayer, amanda bynes. they are older guys and it seems little high school-ish.
8:47 pm
>> what you mean by older? [laughter] >> we have finally gotten so sick of this that you have reverted me back. >> okay, let's talk about this because this has to do about politics and it's about two relatively successful guys complaining at each other. >> are they having a fighter is this a good way to promote the next movie. he knows how to promote a franchise. >> now you are getting way too complicated. these two guys get upset. and bruce willis was offered $3 million. it's a four-day shoot for him, he says he wants a million dollars a day or he's out. >> you really don't want to do the movie.
8:48 pm

8:58 pm
>> they both worked to close the deficit. because we have the lowest tax rates over the last decade or so. in this nations history. >> it is. >> okay, let's start off with the administration wants it both ways. they have a low deficit, but at the same time they want to talk about sequester and how it's bad for the economy because they want to be spending more money. we have these big government policies trying to stimulate the economy. spending billions and billions of dollars getting us to the same point that we were a few years ago and we had 37,000 drop out of this rate alone. this is going to change.
