attract more foreign investment into the united states as his failing healthcare law continues to not only frustrate millions of americans, but in some cases also injury them. those who are losing their healthcare plans because of obamacare. nearly all republican, and a growing number of democratic lawmakers, are now demanding either a delay of the individual mandate or an extension of the enroll am period. and -- enrollment period and the public is not pleased. the president is being pummeled in the latest polls, his job approval rating hit all-time low in newest "wall street journal" poll, just from% of americans a-- 42% of americans approving of his job performance compared to 51% disapproving. 2 two major polls with almost the same trend. gallup tracking poll, and fox

news poll, the approval rating has dropped further. only 41%, 53% disapprove. the president's under war unders are not surprised perhaps with reports of up to two million people receiving cancellation notices from their health care insurance providers, new report reveals that obama administration knew more than what they were saying for more than 3 years, we learn that white house expected as many as 93 million people to be negatively affected under the president's affordable care act. fox news, chief white house report ed henry. >> reporter: as president obama's top aides. >> individual insurance company, 5% of the population. not the 80% who get insurance

center, by a ratio of 15 to 1, policyholders, were taking the renewal extension with their old policies instead of opting into obamacare. >> reporter: a person we profiled from kentucky, got a letter from his insurance company offering him the ability to change his policy year, letter said he could keep his current insurance, and quote, establish your policy year as december 1, 2013 through november 30, 2014. >> it could have an impact on the cost of obamacare. >> they will not help subsidize coverage for the poor people who obamacare is meant to help. >> many of those healthier people are getting letters saying they will pay higher premiums and did yo and -- dedue

making they care more expensive. lou: is there anything practically that the republicans can do about it? >> in terms of a couple of parts to that, one is in terms of the spending and budgeting concerns that a coming down the line. i thought it was important to not shut down the government and voted that way. we are in budgetary discussions now. the need to make sure that number one, we preserve the sequester which is actually resulting in reduced spending two years in a row. we have to make sure that no taxes are increased. think that is just dampening the economy. and then third, absolutely we have to deal with the tidal waves that are coming out, medicare and social security, the two big drivers. lou: i could not agree with you more, senator, on the first two. the idea that the republican party right now is equipped in that budget conference committee to deal with the ec's seven

lou: the economy is critically important. we are seeing the economy suddenly threatened by the president's signature law and legislative achievements. it is threatening, as we were discussing earlier, talking about 800,000 to fewer nurses in this country, 90,000 too few doctors because of obamacare by the end of the decade. we are talking about insurance companies that now reportedly are in compliance and complicity with this president to maintain radio silence on the issue of a failed health care -- healthcare.gov rollout. it is becoming a dangerous thing as we watch these tricks to avoid signing up for obamacare. that means that these insurance companies are struggling to maintain a revenue that would otherwise be lost under obamacare. this is serious business, a serious threat to an already
