♪ ♪ lou: good evening, everyone. explosiv new detai on the benghazi terrorist attacks emerging. fox news exclusively obtaining transcripts and testimony given to a top-secret executive session of the house armed services subcommittee on investigations last year. he told congress in june of last year that he informed chief chairman dempsey and secretary leon panetta that the benghazi consulate was under a terrorist attack. they were on a way to the meeting with the president at the time of that conversation

and they have five morning talk shows the following sunday where they blamed the attacks on the protest. falsely claiming that the attack arose out of a demonstration of muslims angry at an anti-islam film. the president himself push that false narrative in front of the united nations general assembly. the chairman of the armed services committee, congressman buck mckeon pushed him on the manner say in your discussions with secretary leon panetta, was there any mention of a demonstration or was all the discussion about an attack? he said my recollection is that there was some discussion about it. but it was peripheral. hinckley to our conversation. we knew that a u.s. facility had been attacked and was under attack and we knew at that point that we have two individuals.

ambassador stevens and mr. smith unaccounted for. congressman brad lindstrom of ohio, a veteran of the iraq war pressed further and he asked, i would hope that our military leadership would be advising that this was a terrorist attack. with general dempsey and secretary leon panetta, that is the nature of the conversation that we had. the africana commander told the committee that fighter jets in the region were unarmed and that there 10 hours away in the uk. and the commander in charge said that he wasn't comfortable with security in the region and offered to does send a detachment of regions more than 10 months previously. but that offer was rejected by secretary leon panetta. and so what exactly is africom?

the african command. well, africa is huge, of course the much larger than most of us realize. and it is the second biggest continent after asia and so large that could contain the united states and mexico and china and india and japan all of europe. but the u.s. africa command is as minimal as africa is best. africom consists of only 2000 personnel including military and civilian employees and contractors. the headquarters is in germany were 1500 of the personnel are from the space. the army elements are based upon italy and the u.s. navy ships are saying that the marine contingent is shared with marine corps forces in europe.

sanctions on iran some $4.2 billion in what has been blocked in banks and other accounts. all in all the officials say that the sanctions released will total about $7 billion for the next six months in negotiations to continue on a long-lasting deal. something that secretary of state john kerry says will be tough to reach. >> we were very clear about the greater challenges that we face in negotiating. we understandthat it will be a tough negotiation and we are very clear about what will be required in order to be able to guarantee to the international community tt this is a peaceful program. lou: grave concerns about

whether or not the united states can trustiran. a bill that would slap new sanctions against iran if it failed to comply with the deal now has the support of 59 senators. to overcome a presidential veto. obamacare is not attracting the young and healthy americans needed to make the law a success. 2.2 million americans have signed up now for private insurance under obamacare. but only 24% are 18 to 34 years of age. young invincible. that is way off the white house target under the model of obamacare f 38%. a figure that economists say is deeply troubling. >> they are not giving that kind

national interest to win. it is to you that i'm speaking when talking about the book. to win, the leaders of the republican party have to recall vividly their mistakes and failures. and chief amongthose failures was permitting themselves to become the party of privilege. to favor corporatism over dynamic entrepreneurism and all but ignore the needs and concerns of the middle class. from the head of the chamber of commerce, for crying out loud the gop elite declare they are going after t tea party and reince priebus said they responded in john boehner doesn't protest. mitch mcconnell, even though he is running against the tea party opponent, he doesn't say no, that will not be the way you define the republican party. and that should be obvious.

they need to embrace those that support as possible and limited government. support for the family and help those families. not being lapdogs to european corporatism. a strong and vigorous economy that creates prosperity across america. i want everyone to join the republican party because i believe it is the only influence to democrats and the administration that have gone hog wild to centralized government and only government solutions for what ails us and much ails us and much of this administration as part of this. i hope that we can create some people of people in the republican party first, maybe even change the leaders for some of those in the party. and i believe that we can move

affrs and agriculture committee. congressman, good to have you with us. you end president obama in absolute agreement to reform the nsa. but to begin that colonel peters asked, who is the person that has been hard or injured as a result of an assays surveillance? >> first, and happy new year. it is the unintended consequences that come out of this. we have to rein in the nsa. when you have senator leahy and the main ahors of the pitcher backed wanting to bring needed for oversight we need to pay attention. that is what we support. lou: money ask you a question. i have the greatest respect for you. i liked you. >> i appreciate it.

lou: i have a hard time figuring out exactly what in the world the house and senate committees have done that add responsibility over the nsa. how did we get here? the is the congress and the sene simply not functioning? are they responsible? deceived? what is the deal? >> you see the dysfunction of government over the last 10 or 15 years. we have not been paying attention. to answer mr. peters questioned who has been harmed? do we want to wait until somebody is hard? we know they are overreaching. we have seen dragnet of information coming in with the u.s. a freedom act that we co-sponsored this brings some -- gathering of data that nsa is doing to give the oversight to the fis a court this has been lacking

and we need to wait to see what mr. obama does on friday. lou: then let's tn to the war within your party against you and others like you that arty party members of congress, the chamber of commerce has come out against the two party candidates that challenge incumbents. this has to have you worried? >> i will not worry about that. think about what the tea party platform is. limited government, fiscal responsibility, a personal responsibility. go figure. constitutional values and core values is what made the nation great. if that is wrong to defend to make those stronger so that opportunity in america always stays here, i bring it on. we need not to fight but to

come together. we're all americans. whether to party or a moderate. lou: you are believed you were told he is coming after you with $50 million to spend against the party candidates. you don't have a choice you are told you are done. mitch mcconnell is after you. in the tea party cannot just sit there to say i am righteous to be all-american pile you have to have a response? >> we do. unfortunately or fortunately they don't vote for us. the people we stay connected to are the ones that will determine who will be there. a perfect example is the moneyayor bloomberg and bill gates spent in colorado , a $10 mlion to get about the initiative.

lou: but to the point lead influence the way you think your vote? part you concerned about your party? you have the chamber of commerce and mitch mcconnell and john boehner and others involved with the sam efforts so what about the republican party? >> they need to come together. with the infighting and the fractions is from lack of a common vision and a goal for america. not a republican and democratic idea but the american idea that we can rally around. kennedy did that and reagan did that. lou: hallelujah but what you seem to be missing is that it is about your party right now the way you were led and what is going on. we are well aware what is wrong with the country we are worried if you can stay together long enough to be coherent long enough to fix
