stuart: is there connection with the prices and the supply? or is that too much of a stretch? >> gas prices are going up because oil prices are going up. oil prices for me above the triple digits number now. $103 per barrel. as long as prices are up that high, gas prices will have to keep rising to keep up with the pace oil has been climbing. there is still a supply crunch when the we are producing more than we ever have in the united states, still more people buying cars taking a lot more energy continuing to drive up the price of energy across the globe. stuart: handicap it for us, both of you. does president obama give the okay to build a pipeline? >> absolutely. stuart: charles? charles: i think he does. stuart: why should he? charles: sandra just pointed out. economic suicide. he has already played his hand.

repealing the law they say is nearly impossible at this time. the judge is here be at i am in despair if republicans are saying this, and you? >> why should you be in despair when they are saying what you have been saying, a practical politics for repeal is not here. just a few moments ago when i was watching this show you said to someone i'm more interested in practical politics than i am in rigid ideology by the constitution doesn't authorize it. as a practical matter you are correct, almost inconceivable this could be repealed while barack obama is still president. the723rd majority's in both hous but it is interesting that guys like bobby jindal, governor of louisiana or the governor of indiana would say we have to find a way to work about this and certain democratic senators who voted for it don't want to talk about it at all, but they are up for reelection.

stuart: there is a possibility there will be another delay in the individual mandate. that to be the president using the pen and the phone executive order to change a law passed by congress. but if that were to happen, think congress would approve of this going around their authority. >> what senator rand paul, senator mike lee and senator cruz offered to lay it by a year, the president said if it passes, he would veto it. he would rather do these things unlawfully, unconstitutionally on his own that in a lawful manner because if he signed the legislation that looks like the problem with the original piece he wrote. charles: at the end of the day is it likely he will use executive authority to delay for one year the mandate? >> yes, i do because it has been a disaster so far and he wants to get democrats elected in november without this being an issue.

the farther it off it isn't the future, the less of a rhetorical political issue it will be in november. charles: that would be huge. he is never going to end it, but i think the point with these governors, it seems pretty clear to me with scott walker making comments about a month and a half ago you have got governors saying we are probably more qualified to be in the white house than our colleagues who don't run anything in the senate or the house. we govern day today, we make practical decisions, this is why we make better candidates. >> on base at it quite that directly, but that is the @mplication. stuart: could you get behind scott walker for president? >> i think the republican party needs somebody that can embrace all republican views and republicans who badmouth libertarians won't have us, but republicans and find ways to appeal to libertarians will

stuart: we showed you a 3d robotic printed hand. a little boy. a 3d printing factory, got behind the scenes. look at this. >> people can go to the platfo platform, use the tools, creates different things whatever they imagine and then you guys will make it come to life with a 3d printed platform. >> yes. that is what you see on this factory. people can upload their own designs, making his existing designs, we have tools to customize existing designs and when people are happy with what they see on the computer, they can buy it and return into products using 3d printing. this is one of our 3d printers making plastic parts for our

the program, thank you very much for joining us in our brand-new timeslot. >> great to be with you, stuart. stuart: these brand-new big-time technology companies piling up theemoney, concentrated a wealth, they don't employ very many people. what is it, whatsapp has 55 employees valued at $19 billion. you are in the political arena, how do you deal with that? >> first i have to say i think the valuation is illustrious of the fact is kind of companies are valued differently. it may be overvalued in this acquisition but what facebook is looking at and what the market is looking at is how many subscribers there are. it is actually not a crazy valuation in terms of number of subscribers and how much money

each of those subscribers is worth. stuart: doesn't it remind you of little bit of valuations of the 1990s? >> may be. what facebook is demonstrating. so much about facebook originally, the stock was probably priced too high. they came back because what they're doing is putting that subscriber base to work. if they continue to do that, if they can continue to monetize that subscriber base, they are worth what people are currently paying for them. the more important point is what are the technologyycompanies are in for the of our economy? i think they do two very important things. they don't employ vast amounts of people. they maintain america's competitive edge. that is incredibly important. america has always led in technology and we need to always lead in technology.

secondly, technology improves productivity for everyone. improving productivity lifts standards of living. however, i also think the silicon valley success is perhaps masking the fact small business in general is doing very poorly. fewer small businesses are starting, more are failing than any time in 40 years and the vast majority of small businesses 98% of them have never seen venture-capital, so all this great success in silicon valley is masking a lot of quiet failure and that is why the economy isn't doing better. stuart: i think you and i probably agree if i say president obama has fundamentally changed america. i think they would agree on that. here's the question, can we get back to a society which is dynamic, growth oriented and individual liberty and freedom? can we get back to that? when do we get back to it? >> i think the short answer is

yes, but we need to recognize that while obama has accelerated a whole bunch of bad things that makes the government even larger and more intrusive in our lives, obamacare being the classic example, the government has been getting steadily bigger for 40 years. their budget has been increasing year after year after year for 40 years. there has been more and more regulation for 40 years. has that pace accelerated dramatically? absolutely. we have 40 plus years of what i would call geologic sediment. more and more complexity in the tax code, greater and greater budget and government agencies and therefore more money and more people going to the government and less to the economy. i say all that to say it will take more than simply a change in the white house. we need, i believe, to rethink the role of the federal government and
