in the room because the star wood hotel, which should be up 15% -- >> jonas, bull or bea on this? >> never bring a pet that much cuter than you to a television show. we have the ados tea to turn our back on them to turn our back on them right this second. i will tell you something. all societies are judged by what they do for the least of them. and so $5 billion for terrorists? at west point, where he could have used the day to say i am sorry for the pain i caused you, the families, and i am going to fix it today! >> that's what happens when a proud vet starts venting, as he sees other vets suffering. is the president now listening?
1:31 am
less than two days after montel was giving him hell, president obama was kicking his veteran's secretary to the curb. >> there has been no area where i put more priority than making sure that we are delivering the kind of budget that is necessary to make sure our veterans are being served, but it still may not be enough. >> but is more money the answer, or is it a case of throwing good money after the bad. charles, what do you think? >> that press conference was disapointing. he mentioned money three different times. it's a great ahreubgser, and if thisis is not fixed in the futu, it's not my fault, i couldn't get the money from congress. a lot of money has been thrown at the problem. we have had this particular
1:32 am
crisis. it's going to mushroom into something that has already been done. big government is part of the problem. >> we have to find what has prompted, you know, wait times for treatment, to go from 24 days to 100 days, even with all the money coming in, i think we have to get to the bottom of that before we start throwing more money. >> lack of accountability and bonuses for poor performance, which is rampant throughout the va system, and funding has gone up dramatically since 2005, and it's more than $57 billion annually, up 76%, the number of veterans being treated up 18%. throwing more money at the problem won't fix the problem, which has been around for decades. >> my brother did a tour through
1:33 am
the va hospital and did the tour on 23rd street. he would say it needs to be dismantl dismantled. fraud from the top to the bottom, and fraud would brave men and women not being able to see the doctor for two months, the agency needs to be blown up. and there is no outrage here. we call him no drama obama. he sounded sane and rash null when people voted him. i think he has no clue how bad it is. >> there has been a number of solutions thrown out there, veterans never have to wait, they get the care they need when they need it. what do you think? >> i think that's a good
1:34 am
suggestion. but part of the problem is the veteran population is aging rapidly, and older people like me consume more medical care, so the amount spent per veteran has grown dramatically, but the illnesses have grown dramatically, and i don't know what the government can do except more money at the problem. if you are not going to hold these persons individually accountable, it's the government and the only solution is to throw more money at it. >> but this is a serious point. first of all, this is idealogical, charles. as a government we defend the country and have a military to fight wars and defend us. and we have a similar government infrastructure to care for our veterans. that's the way we should do it, and yes, we do need more money. the doctors that work for the va on average make less than doctors elsewhere in the health care system. we should address that right
1:35 am
away and raise their salaries, and pay them more because they are doing the most important work off physicians in our society, which is caring for the men and women who hurt themselves, candidly, defending us. >> it's funny that you would use the military and this administration, because they are trying to gut the military as an example of why we should be spending more money. we have to spend taxpayer money efficiently. >> let's be honest, charles! >> he knew it was wrecked, but instead he -- >> just let me make a quick point. you and charlie don't want a veteran's administration, and you have no -- >> you have no idea what you are talking about. if you threw more money at enron, which was a fraud, do you think it would help it out? the va hospital, and i know this
1:36 am
from people who work there, is raoeuf with administrative fraud. i want to change it and people like you and ben want to throw money at it. >> no, i am happy to change it radically. >> it's the government. >> it should be the government. >> when has that ever happened that you threw something more money from the government and it made it better? >> h about world war ii. >> a report last year said 80% of the medical providers in the va got performance pay of some sort, but their performance was never measured. they are basically paying for failure within the va system, and i resent we don't want to take care of the veterans, and we are disappointed,nd sorry if i don't believe in socialized medicine when my great aunt was
1:37 am
sterilized by the state of virginia, so sorry if we don't trust the government to take care of the most needy in the nation. >> well, then scrap it and scrap it and do something different. >> thank you. >> but the va, for decades, is socialized medicine. fighting wars is a socialized -- >> appears different argument. we have made a promise. >> we made a promise to give socialized medicine to the veterans, but we did not make a promise to give to a corrupt corporation. and been compares the va -- >> is that insane. you cannot throw money at fraud. this place is broken from the top to the bottom. >> they have not touched on the most important point here, the demographics. we have a lot of soldiers that are getting old and we are flooding the system that is unable to deal with it. >> well, there is --
1:38 am
>> i am not doubting the fraud. >> but then that gives us back to something that others have been talking about, if you don't junk the va as we know it, do you look at privatized alternatives, something to cut the wait list down, because that's the problem people are dying and getting sicker because they have to wait for treatment. >> charlie, there is tremendous fraud in almost every medical endeavor. there is tremendous fraud in procurement during world war ii. there is a lot of fraud in everything. there is a lot of fraud in everything. >> no -- >> with all due respect, many years i have toured the va hospital, and -- >> that means you know everything about the va. >> do you work there?
1:39 am
>> we all know people that work somewhere. >> you can't say the entire va is -- just fraud. >> if you talk to doctors, and -- >> the nsa -- va is broken. >> the administration is protecting the idea that ultimately the government should be in charge of health care. if somehow they were going to have a mea culpa, let's offshore this to the private sector, maybe that hits to the heart of the ideology, and maybe you have to protect a broken system -- >> if you are going to put more money and continue to operate it, they have to go in and change the way the finances are
1:40 am
spread. >> regardless of how you feel about the va, fair skies the way the government or anything treats soldiers, how do you think it's going to affect the health care? it's going to control us. not many people seeing this, but at least nancy is. >> it's intact and beautiful.
1:41 am
wondering what that is? that, my friends, is everything. and with the quicksilver card from capital one, you earn unlimited 1.5% cash back on everything you purchase. not just "everything at the hardware store." not "everything, until you hit your cash back limit." quicksilver can earn you unlimited 1.5% cash back on everything you could possibly imagine. say it with me -- everything. one more time, everything! and with that in mind... what's in your wallet?

brains.
1:44 am
when somebody throws the word beautiful at me, immediately this image pops up. i don't know why that is. nancy pelosi, she has a different approach. >> one evidence of government is how we rolled out the affordable care act, it's intact and beautiful. >> try telling that to america. a new survey thinks the new health care law is out right ugly. >> even at one point, dr. frankenstein had to admit it was ugly. >> i am speechless you ran that. >> i am speechless, too.
1:45 am
>> it was a metaphor. >> couldn't you have covered the nancy pelosi voice with that. >> where were you in the planning stages for this segment? >> i am always astonished by the lack of honesty of politicians, and why does she have to select that word for something that is deeply flawed? >> and there is more good to see down the road and the beautiful thing about it is more people are getting covered, and leaving out facts like most are paying higher premiums, and it's not so beautiful, but really emphasize to your base what is. what do you think? >> nancy pelosi and i do live near each other -- >> that's a popular thing.
1:46 am
>> we live in the same city, and she is my congresswoman. i think everything you said accurately portrays her perspective, best word choice, probably not, but it will get better, and she believes it and i believe it, that this is doing good, and it's doing what was accomplished and we did a disservice, and it was you -- i am not supposed to say this, but the government is going to be providing us health care. that's not what is happening now or going on. >> you don't think what is happening at the va is what is coming, you don't think that's sort of a prequill to what we are looking at? >> i don't. i think obamacare is all about insurance. we had all those things through medicare and update -- >> then you are not up to kate
1:47 am
upton's standards to talking about. i will move on to ben. it has reminded americans about what happens when the government takes over for something. >> which of those women was nancy pelosi and which was nancy pelosi? >> the other metaphor is that we are trying to keep abreast of these health care developments, but go on. >> i can count on fox news, with all due respect, what is she going to say? what is she going to say? it was a terrible mistake? >> i thought you were going to criticize kate upton, so great. >> i think there was a needle sticking out of her arm when she said the word beautiful. and she could probably say a lot
1:48 am
of things, but beautiful, and still covering her rear end. i think the best part of the clip was the interviewer just sat there and didn't fall off his chair. if anything is not beautiful, it's this. >> the interviewer looked like snowden. >> it was the guy that punched brad pitt in the face. >> up next, kate upton. no, i am kidding. if you an extra 11 grand laying around? well, the government thinks you do. but first, what the heck, is this apple now getting hackers' attention. if apple is no longer safe from these guys, who is?

someone hacking into a whole bunch of iphone along with ipads in australia demanding users pay a ransom if they ever want to see their device again. how does that threatening call come through? what does that sound like? i got your phone, mate. you're not getting it back. anyway, this comes ahead of apple's reported release of its smart home system turning an iphone into a remote control for your entire home. i have to wonder is anyone safe here? >> nobody is safe from a hack but we're all in no danger from

big mac attack. so let's remember that charlie. >> you're still on the mcdonald establish thing. >> there's nothing better than a freshly cooked mcdonald's hamburger. >> that's true. absolutely true. >> apple, we don't get viruss or have any of this oblem? we are hack proof, virus proof, vomit proof and now all of a sudden they're fair game as much as anyone. >> because of that was part of the bragging rights of owning a apple product. >> do you follow me? >> and what did they find out? do you know what i mean. >> the more likely it's going to get hacked and i say it's part of our way of life. have your data backed up somewhere. get over it. it's just a little ransom. >> i find it interesting. >> some people can afford it. >> i really do find it interesting this week because everyone is talking about the

internet, 1984 there were a thousand devices connected to the internet and in a few years 50 billion. your clothes, your glasses, your refrigerator. >> 50 billion? >> 50 billion devices will be registered to the internet. >> my thermostat, my tv, everything in my home is internet enabled. >> deal with it. >> yeah, you have to deal with it. somebody is going to lower the temperature in the apartment. it's going to cost more to run the ac. i don't care. >> it's more serious than that. >> the geex run the world. that's all i can tell you. >> it's more serious. >> no one is safe. they did get more than turning down the thermostat in your apartment, they can get into your bank account. interesting to note the reason apple wasn't atakd back in the day is they had tiny market share on macs and now they have massive market shares. >> just because you wrote a best seller on am, i think because i

have a couple of devices i'm much more schooled on this. they lost the bragging right and that's what people fear now. they're going after apple. they're all vulnerable. >> people should be afraid. >> i want to say you predicted the halo effect of the i pod when it was first launched. you said it will be a rebirth of apple computer because i did the package. >> i did. >> up next, his new fbn show is called making money. it kicks off monday night. [ clapping ] >> quite. he's already out of control. but if you were listening to him on this show you already would be making money. especially when he picked real estate website zillow in march.
