unfolding. i do believe, yes, sir,ly was relieved of guard duty, and left in the guard of night. lou: what was evidence that suggested that to you, and your comrades there at that remote outpost, it was an incirclement of vehicles of which you set up with i guess wire, and a perimeter to protect, is that right? >> well, i had been - been -- it physically present there. i was at a different station when it happened in afghanistan. we're all friends with people in the other companies. and it was -- there was no reason to distrust anything that anyone was saying. >> how long did you know the sergeant? >> bergdahl, i -- h i had a few

superficial conversations with him, i did not know him well. well. i was good friending with his medic, from superficial conversations, i would say he is a quiet person. >> so what happened in the days after he disappeared? walked off base? which seems to be -- is there anyone in the 501st who knew the man who doubts that is what happened? >> tonight knowledge, as far as i am aware, i have not heard anyone saying to the contrary. i do not know if there are people who believe it or not. but in days following that, it was really consumed by the dust 1 operations to get him back. there were other operations
