obama from the beginning has said part of us needs to admit our wrongdoing to retreat from places where we've been too aggressive. and he's been consistent in that. the apology tour, and then assaults on capitalism. you didn't build that. the collective did. so here we have a kind of stockholm mentality, which i've mentioned before. i think we were commandeered by a fellow who doesn't really embrace this country as having manifest destiny at all, who questions the re of america. the very core of it. he's not sure of us at all, in fact, he's likely more likely than not somebody who deep inside is critical to an extreme degree of our character. and people signed on with that in a kind of self-hating way. we got to come out of that. this is a psychologicalorass

where we're questioning ourselves, and he's leading us. lou: you are saying there is residual guilt across modern society against transgressions, blacks, and americans in our history. and i'm stunned what this country has done to free slaves. we talk about the 300,000 people who died to keep them bound in chains, we don't talk about more than 300,000 americans who gave their lives to free the slaves. >> well, to free the slaves, to end tyranny during world war ii. america's always been there, america always is the bastion of freedom, and the world's court of last resort. but listen, that take work, that takes courage, and that takes putting yourself on the line when. somebody says you needn't do any of that. all you have to do is sit back with draw.

don't express yourself so much. it's attractive to people who don't question whether we can overcome tyranny, who question whether it's our place, and so he has appealed to that. and i think a very expert way. look at the hostage exchange. we get five -- five plus one, six people who question america's place in the world, including the p.o.w. released. this is a no-brainer for barack obama. people who think, well, he mt have miscalculated. no, he added up the numbers, five plus one is six people who think negatively about america. by the way, it's seven, barack obama thinks negatively about america. i keep saying this. wait a second, the president. no, that's what's happened. we got scared, we elected somebody who didn't like us. lou: and the surprise a high one, isn't it? as you talk about, huge. i don't know where this is going to lead us, but it means at this point that this

administration, through all of the scandals is unwilling to speak the truth to the american people, fully, completely, openly, and it means that we, for whatever reason as you suggest, as a people, as a government, are not bringing the full force of the demand for values that made this country great, to be applied, to be respected across our government and society. >> if not us, then who? the truth is no one. see, that's the answer that nobody wants. the truth is no one. this is our place, we have to lead. and here we have a potential candidate for president, hillary clinton saying what difference does it make? what difference does it make thatou pedalled a false narrative to the american people that painted them as blame worthy and provoking a protest that got people killed? what difference does it make? how can you possibly be in front of the american people asking for votes after you

illegal immigrant children are being moved to fort sill, the third military base being used to house and care for these young children who have been brought to our border, dumd at our border. as many as 60,000, we're expect a quarter of a million over the next two years. this is the -- the president calls it a crisis. most republicans that i've heard from say it's a crisis of the president's making. your thoughts. >> it absolutely is a crisis the president's making, he continues to work on deferred action for those who are here, continues to talk about amnesty, dream act. quee talk about securing the border first. if you don't secure the border first, this is what actually occurred. so our continual focus is we have to have border security before we talk about anybody else of any kind. the vast majority of our caucus including myself are not amnesty folks, don't think

that's how you build a nation, i don't think you begin a relationship with the greatest country on earth by doing an illegal act. we have a flood of children coming in, and they are children coming across the border sent, collected, put in the bases and holding and processing them until they can get thm to a family member already in the united states. that is a problem for us in the country. lou: it is a problem, it is also categorically clear that the nations from which most of the children originate, are 1800 miles away from the border upon which they're being dumped. it seems to me to be an absolutely irresistible conclusion that this administration, the obama administration, the governments of el salvador, the governments guatamalacosta rica, honduras are working in constore the put these children on an 1800-mile journey through thmiddle of mexico to our southern border. >> yeah. lou: it's despicable what

they're doing. >> it's a human rights disaster for children on this. i don't know aone that would say, you know what the best thing for children is to move them away from their parents, hire them out to coyotes to be in care for a short period of time. whatever time the length may be on a military base, transition them to a relative. we've incentivized it in the process. these are very dangerous, very violent locations, but it's not better than what we are experiencing these children doing. this is the problem, when the president incentivizes this, he's opening the door, when you refuse to enforce the borders this is what happens. it's important for the protection of the children south of the border but the american government and the nation that we actually secure our border. this is not rocket science. we can do this. lou: and i don't think the ameran people need to be frankly deceived by this administration as this administration seems intent upon doing.

speak straightforwardly to the american people, have an assessment, a discussion, a dialogue and come to a consensus. but administration after administration, this is not the first as you know, president george w. bush insist on driving forward, comprehensive immigration form as he put it, amnesty, open borders, without bringing the american people together. this turns out to be utter madness, doesn't it? >> it is utter madness, we talk about it over and over again, breaking it into smaller pieces. there are problems, we need better hardware, better software, need better technology to secure the border. something we need toas and do. we need to deal with high skill visas. what are we going to do when a student comes over and gets a degree in engineering and science? that's something we have to resolve in law. all the enforcement, for 20 years the united states had a law we have to do a border
