out in the midterms this year. republican strategist, how do you think the minimum-wage issue plays in november? is a winning issue for democrats? >> i think not because now when we have the reality hitting where these jobs -- the mother ship of starbucks in seattle saying this is a problem. and fancy copies at starbucks, all solidly under the category of discretionary spending for most people. you raise prices for that which you have to if you raise the minimum wage people are not going to buy the coffee and one of the biggest employers in this country of young people basically is going to suffer people understand that. they are going to be experiencing it, have family members and friends who experience it. democrats might be a little bit arrogant thinking this will work for them. the reality is very different. stuart: how about the immigration issue? youngsters across the border almost invited in by the

president. spending $2 billion to support them. how does that play out in november? >> when people see the optics of this they see what is happening, a president doing absolutely nothing to secure the borders, essentially trying to call republicans or anybody who calls them racist is not going to work because we see the reality of this. the american people right now if you secure the borders, don't talk about amnesty, to shove this down for the american people after the eric cantor or loss last week that might be a different dynamic. stuart: do you have any republican clients talking about amnesty? >> last week changed the dynamic. people i trying to get a read on what that raise man, what the loss meant. i don't think it was the canary in the coal mine that others do but lot of people using it to kind of push their agenda so that is interesting how that is playing out.
