>> 31 million. >> what are you thinking, mac? >> a great acquisition, watch out for this one. like it. >> that's it for "forbes on fox." have a wonderful weekend, eveve. keep it right here. the number one business block continues with eric bolling. scenes from ferguson, missouri, the past two weeks. the town has been under siege. when the sun goes down, protesters give way to rioting and looting. windows shot out after the owner of this store feared for his safety. race is playing a big role in the events that are dividing the community. thugs seizing the opportunity. but high-profile americans like kareem abdul-jabbar cite economic opportunity. black unemployment in the area is triple the national average
2:31 am
at 20%. and more than one out of every three african-americans in the area are out of work. so what's the body in ferguson, opportu opportunistic thugs. and when the news cameras leave will ferguson be on the way to becoming the next detroit. or a community ready to pick up the pieces and start to sew the seeds of racial diversity and equal opportunity for all no matter what the color of your skin. hi there, america. welcome to "cashin' in." michelle, the real penchant in the heartland. a racial penchant in the heartland, lack of opportunity or opportunistic thugs? >> these are opportunistic thugs without morals. unfortunately there are a lot of
2:32 am
people suffering in this economy but they don't go and damage private property like what's happening in ferguson. the people in ferguson, they don't care about michael brown. they are trying to get free stuff. that's what this whole thing is about. 163 people have been arrested so far. only 7 of those 163 people are actually from ferguson. so what we're seeing is tons of criminal tourism. people are coming from new york, chicago, coming to get free stuff to take advantage of a very unfortunate situation. >> dr. bevan, do you mind if i call you that, by the way, what is it the opportunistic thugs as michelle pound the out or lack of opportunity among the black in the area or frankly in the country. >> criminal tourism, i like that term. i'll give her credit, though. there's a small number of folks that are doing this from outside the community that are opportunistic. but the reality is that the anger is widespread. some people are not going to take to looting, some people are
2:33 am
not going to take to violence, but that anger is still there, how do they use that anger to promote peace, but also talk farther down the road. >> is that the best way to do it, guys to promote peace as you point out, anger? >> well, there's anger there. so the question is do you use it in a violent way, clearly, nobody wants that. if you look at the pictures out of ferguson. there were community leaders there, clergy members standing in front of stores saying we don't want you to come into our stores. don't trash our community because this is not going to get us anywhere. we saw that in los angeles after o.j. there were community leaders there and engaged. >> when we showed video earlier in the week of a store owner who literally got this store front shot out with handguns manipulates after he left the store, and then it was completely looted. the store was trashed. everything was taken off the shelves. what does it do, the anger and
2:34 am
frustration, what does it do to the business community in the area? >> well, i think it destroys all confidence they have in the ability of the community to control itself. you know, eric, the terrible part about all of this, the press just promoted something that way out of line, for example, over the weekend, july 4th there were 82 shootings in chicago. 18 people were killed. hey, where was, you know, the wright reverend for that one. where was he there. which is all of these people promoting this kind of stuff, why don't they pay attention to other things going on. they picked on ferguson and they made ferguson a big thing. and it's not judge a big thing. >> hold on, let me get jon in here. i'm interesting in your point of view, opportunistic thugs or lack of opportunity in black community? >> well, these aren't protesters.
2:35 am
the '60 of the protesters were about peace and love. throwing molotov cocktails is not protest. it's about philosophy. and same from the anti-nato crowd. >> but i do think there's an entitlement -- >> go ahead, michelle. >> there is an entitlement mentality that they feel like they're owed something. and saw that video of michael brown, he goes into a store, he gets what he wants and when the elderly shop owner tries to stop him, he shoves him out of the way. it's the mentality that they're owed something. >> well, i think on behalf of a lot of black folks in this country, yes, i would say there's a widespread sentiment that government in the business community should do more to explose the lives of folks of color in the communities but don't lump in folks who are actually having substantive conversations about that. >> well, you know when they have
2:36 am
reverend wright down there, you lose all credibility. >> you said something, there's a sentiment that government and the business community should do more. define that. >> well, i'm a menard jackson democrat. what that means, former mayor of atlanta. what that means i'm about centric policies that can bring african-americans into politics. speak specifically -- >> so damaging business is now you're going to get it? >> bringing folks of color into government, government jobs, union jobs. >> eric -- >> wait, hold on one second. >> let me get the crowd in. let me start with you guys, john and wayne and michelle negotiation. >> you know who talks about race? racists? how do you cause terror, eric, then people at the southern border would be rioting and not trying to come in here to bus tables for $4.50 an hour.
2:37 am
this is a problem of philosophy. the focus on race does everyone involved a real disservice. >> wayne, your turn. >> well, i understand. but i say, with all due respect, dr. huge, jesse jackson and those kind of people don't help this. you don't have an african-american leader down there who is taking responsibility. >> al sharpton. >> you got al schaharpton. he's up there representing the black community. >> listen, he's not the representative the black community. a lot of african-americans that actually don't believe in him at all. >> when you have sharpton in there, you lose all credibility. >> he pretends to be and you've got the press covering, that's the problem. >> you don't want that person doing this. >> a lot of folks that are on the ground, part of their anger and frustration is that they don't see sharpton or jackson or
2:38 am
even the president of the united states doing enough to help them. so i do think there's a disconnect between the community and leadership -- >> all right. >> let me get -- >> go hoahead, john. >> the protests existed from the sufficient row jets. just to destroy businesses, destroys the community. and that's today's philosophy nationwide. >> quickly, michelle, the reverend, and i lose that term loosely is having a rally as we speak right now here in new york. i'm trying to figure out what is the point of that. quick thought. >> look, it's all about race. that's what this whole thing is about. they're trying to make it about race but if i had the mentality of liberal, you know what i'd say, if you look at the businesses that have been destroyed in ferguson, many of them are owned by asians, yet asians make up less than 1% of
2:39 am
the population in ferguson. why aren't you standing up for the asians there who having all of their businesses destroyed by these african-americans? >> we're going leave it with a rhetorical question. take a minute to pat yourself on the back. you viewers may this show the top-rated weekend show in all of cable news. those of you who join us, the view crew, you not only have the hash tag running. look to twitter, we had a twitter reach of 110 million beating "meet the press" "face the nation" and george stephanopoulos. if you agree, retweet that. coming up, the crisis in coming up, the crisis in ferguson to the crisis with
