our face? is it oppression or protection? according to a new study the only kind worth mentioning those who wear hejabs may have a better body image, better than those who don't. researchers polled 600 muslim women living in london and half wear some sort of covering. those who dress like the westerners show more preoccupation with body weight and a greater fear of becoming fat and more concerned with dieting. the hejab group had less social physique anxiety. they concluded that the use of the hejab offers muslim women protection of their body image and acts as a buffer. speaking of negative body image. >> mew?
