iraq and yemen could have a direct impact on us in the united states. stuart: let's get to greg parker in london for the latest. >> it is now being called the deadliest terror attack in the history of pakistan. that spent a lot in pakistan, it is certainly the most brutal. it all happened early this morning near the border with afghanistan. that school went from reading and writing to bloodshed and more. seven taliban militants armed with guns and suicide vests stormed the place and went on a shooting spree killing student after student. at one point setting a teacher on fire and making the teacher at students watch. i witnesses spoke of rooms and hallways strewn with bodies. pakistani military commandos entered the scene battled the terrorists for eight hours militants holding some students hostage, as we drove the militants detonating explosives

after killing all the militants and clearing the school's exclusives the pakistani military authorities confirmed fox news that the siege is a over. along with, the figure we have is 141 killed, mostly children including teachers, there were at least 121 injured, many of them, hospitals overflowing, the city overflowing with grieving parents. by the way the schools specifically picked because it is a school mostly for the children of pakistani army officials. the pakistan military has been waging an offensive in that country against the taliban for the last six months or so. one final note to bring this into perspective for our viewers, there are big u.s. links and concerns about this taliban grew. the pakistani taliban claimed responsibility for a deadly attack on the cia base in 2009 and that fails. times where bombing in 2010.

we have been attacking it with drones and is linked to the taliban afghanistan too which we are battling with. no wonder president obama coming out and condemning this attack today. stuart: thanks very much. let's get to the rally, checks the big board, we are nicely higher, up 160 points. oil is up, helping to lift the price of stocks. the dow is off of its highs for the day still up 160. oil up, stocks up, the big oil stocks are winners today, chevron, exxon, 3 m and boeing, dow stocks leading the market higher. the price of oil $56 a barrel, it was higher than that earlier and now is at 5601. let's get to the president's comments about our military, he says it will become leaner. lou dobbs is here. welcome back to the program. why is the president insisting on cutting the military when the rest of the world is on fire?
