way and in my opinion -- yes my opinion -- the republicans are way out front. i'm not saying a republican wins in '16, but attractive talent is on the right, not so much on the left. ted cruz announced today. i think he's just one of the few young the new young faces in the republican party. rand paul scott walker, they're two others. all three of them are making a first bid. all three bring ideas and, yes passion to the race. the establishment well represented by jeb bush. success is the governor of pl, and he's not afraid to take on the big issues like immigration. there's governor huckabee, governor perry, dr. ben carson perhaps ohio's john kasich, a long list of people. the democrats, a narrower field and, again, in my opinion hess talent. hillary is the front runner oh, yeah, there's plenty of political talent there, but is that the kind of political talent america needs in the white house? the boston globe wants senator

elizabeth warren to oppose hillary not because ms. warren has great talent but because hillary's scandals may doom her candidacy. as for senator warren's ideas since when has socialism been a winning idea in america? then there's martin o'malley, former governor of maryland. his job was taken by a republican in maryland. and let's not forget vice president biden, apparently willing to throw his hat in the ring. republicans must be hoping fervently for a biden gaffe-prone candidacy. no when it comes to bench strength the republicans have it the democrats do not. maybe after eight years of the most left-wing president of all time, endless failure has brought out the talent on the other side of the aisle. i live in hope. ♪ ♪ ♪ stuart: well, why don't we get

steel. i think he has, you know, unbendable political principles, and that's something a lot of conservatives who have just been kind of unnerved by this kind of feckless congress are really looking for. so i think he will be a very welcome addition. he wants to repeal obamacare move to a flat tax, personal accounts for social security i find him very attractive. and i agree entirely with what you just said by the way, stuart. if you look at this field of candidates the republicans are putting out there, people like marco rubio and rand paul and scott walker and jeb bush i would make this point, everyone who is running this time in 2016 is better than anybody who ran for the republicans in 2012. it's a powerful field. stuart: do most of them -- i'm not going to say all, but do most of the candidates as we know them are most of them in favor of growth through lower corporate and personal income tax rates? >> well, they'd better be, that's why larry kudlow and steve forbes and art laffer and i started the committee to

unleash american prosperity because we believe that is the central issue in this campaign. how do we get growth in this 2% slump up to 4%, and i've even heard you talk about 5% growth which i would love to see and i think we're capable of. i would say i've talked to almost every one of these republican candidates now, and they've got that growth message, you know right smack in their head. and they are going to really focus on tax reform. in fact, you know i think you're going to see four, five or six of these candidates, stuart, talking about some version of a flat tax. remember when steve forbes ran on that 20 years ago. stuart: do you think that's sellable to the american electorate? >> yeah, i do. stuart: do you really? that's a revolution steve. >> it is a revolution, but here's the point, i don't think americans should play small ball. i think they should be talking about blowing up the tax system starting completely over. i've said this on your show i bet, stuart, you and i could sit down in half an hour and come up with something that is much more pro-growth, more fair and

something that the american people that would buy into, get rid of the loopholes, get rid of the special interest carveouts. yeah, i think the american people are ready for that because they see this tax system is sending jobs abroad. stuart: last one real fast, "the boston globe" wants elizabeth warren to run against hillary. let's suppose wildly that elizabeth warren is elected president of the united states of america. what would that do to the united states' economy? [laughter] i'm not being funny she's the op opposite extreme, she's way out there on the left. i think she's a socialist. what would that do to the economy? >> well, it would be negative but, look, we've had barack obama for six years, and he's pretty much a socialist himself, right? somehow we muddle through. this is a nightmare scenario you're laying out, it is a total night mauer that after eight years -- nightmare that after eight years of barack obama we'd have brent warren. i don't think it's going to happen. i think people are looking for the opposite of obama, someone with experience, who beliefs in

>> they -- stuart: with that money? >> they give a lot of money, and you need some of that money. i don't think you can run as a pure populist without any sort of support from wall street, from special interest groups on the right. excuse me from corporate special interest groups. i just don't think you can do that. she will not be able to do that and unless hillary clinton's e-mails come out with some sort of scandal, she's going to be the presidential nominee for the democratic party. i mean -- but the left just loves this whole thing. it's like a fantasy. of it's like i think elizabeth warren has about as much chance of unseating hillary clinton as i do -- now listen to the this analogy -- going to del frisco's, picking up jennifer aniston, bringing her home and not having my wife kill both of us. i want you to look at the stock price on michael kors. it is up. now, why is it up? it's got what we call the barron's bounce. phil roosevelt is here. you wrote about michael kors over weekend. you said you liked it. monday morning, it goes up. barron's bounce, why do you like it? >> well michael kors has been a hot stock now for a few years, a hot company and a hot stock. the sales have come down, probably half of what they were before they were running at 60% a year sales growth, probably down to the 30% now, and that has scared a lot of the momentum investors out of the stock and left it quite cheap much cheaper than coach on a price to earnings -- stuart: really? that's interesting. i always think of coach as the old -- i call it a democratic luxury stock because it's handbags and that kind of thing were just in reach. >> right. stuart: and then along came kors with maybe a better selection and they took over that role. you're saying kors is now

cheaper on a financial basis than coach? >> it's stock is cheaper on a price-to-earnings basis. some of the stuff they sell is actually a lot more expensive than coach. they do the affordable luxury like coach does, but they also have coach that's closer to lvmh territory. stuart: where do you think the stock's going to go to? >> probably 25% up over a year. stuart: and you said that? >> we did. stuart: that's why you've got the barron's bounce. thank you very much indeed. >> thank you stuart. stuart: radioshack is on death watch. lauren simonetti, in case you missed it. tell me, what save radioshack? >> well, its future will be be decided at bankruptcy auction today. right now the hedge fund standard general, the p only hope for the 94-year-old chain's survival. it has teamed up with sprint to save nearly half of radioshack's 4,000 stores and turn them into co-branded sprint stores. radioshack would feel devices.

singles? >> the issue isn't so much about kraft singles really although it is not a very healthy product, and when you look at the average american child's diet, they should not be pushed to eat processed cheese. but the issue comes down to the fact that for years now the academy of nutrition and dietetics has had very cozy ties to corporations like coca-cola, pepsico, hershey's mcdonald's, kelloggs and general mills. and a lot of dietician including myself, are tired of what should be an organization for nutrition really protecting corporate interests. stuart: really this is part of the processed versus fresh food debate. i think the country's moving more towards fresh food and away from processed food, and this is part of that debate do you agree with that? >> absolutely. stuart: okay. now, apart from the conflict of interest tell me what is wrong with kraft singles? because i've got six kids and nine grandchildren and that's

the only kind of cheese that they eat. certainly when they were youngsters. you want to remove that from kids' -- was i a bad parent a bad grandparent for feeding my kids this processed cheaz? >> absolutely not. the issue is that dieticians feel that this seal comes across as an implied endorsement, and a product like kraft singles is pretty high in sodium and does not really offer many of the nutrients that most children in the u.s. are not getting enough of. and this is exactly why dieticians have been extremely upset and in a beta has never happened -- in a way that has never happened before are really protesting. there is a petition on change.org that has over 10,000 signatures. stuart: are you in a war against the big food companies? >> it's not so much that, it's really more a battle against our own organization selling out our credential year after year, because what ends up happening is that dieticians are starting to realize that these kind of partnerships ultimately hurt our

credibility. stuart: okay. >> the public and other health professionals don't see us as objective nutrition experts. stuart soother i see your point. i know where you're coming from, and i'm to some degree on your side. i just wonder, what would you feed a 4-year-old instead of kraft singles? if you want to give them cheese what would you give them? >> you're asking me if it has to be exceed? stuart: no what would you feed them instead of kraft singles? >> well, i would actually feed them real cheese from the sense -- stuart: supposing they won't eat it? >> kraft singles is not. stuart: supposing they won't eat it? >> give them other foods that contain the same singles -- stuart: do you have children? >> i do not. stuart: ah. >> but i counsel a lot of people that do have children. stuart: look, it really does count because a parent really wants to feed their child. they want the child to eat.
