the 2016 race, i'm joined by former reagan white house political director and fox news political analyst ed rollins. nice to see you. if you're a presidential hopeful for 2016 and you're on the g.o.p. side, how do you use the iranian situation to your advantage? >> the most successful candidate will be someone who projects leadership and weakness in this deal. you're basically taking a country who sponsored more terrorism than anywhere else. put aside the nuclear weapon, we'll lift the sanctions. give them more resources. it's not a democracy. we'll give them more, more money. and let them have more activity, unfavorable activity in the region. the candidates will follow the lead of the republicans and the congress who will do everything to stop it. >> do they make attacks on secretary of state kerry. personal attacks on hillary clinton. >> they talk about the weakness of this team. this is a foreign policy team

important governors in this race. we have a strong field. for walker to move to the forefront shows people recognize the tremendous job he's done as governor. ran three times in four years. put back the labor unions and replenished the economy of that state. my sense is he has a great story to tell. best line he said, this is what i've done. he'll be one of the two or three credible candidates. >> the story is a little bit different here. if you look at the polling. our polling versus hillary clinton versus jeb bush. this is where jeb bush emerges over mr. walker. as you can see they're even. tied at 45%. are they still betting on a bush/clinton race? >> obviously if you go to the general public independents, maybe more inclined to vote for hillary. over time obviously, that will

change. cheryl: and i've heard lou said this before. the g.o.p. could easily screw this up. he's been vocal about that. how does this not happen when you have an incumbent president leaving and a wide open field and a lot of criticism of the current -- >> we not to make it not about the lack of leadership in this administration. we need to be about the future and what we as a party thinks -- >> does religion play into this? >> religion always plays a part. 25% are evangelical voters. you have to pay some attention to it. you hope that they are concerned about other issues besides just the religious issues. you need to attract young voters and other voters. we'll have some battle in his our party. there will be a business community that supports jeb bush. and sort of a populist evangelical tea party group that supports -- >> because the business -- at the end of the day, they need a candidate that can win. that has to be a more moderate candidate, at

if the job doesn't pay the economy doesn't grow. >> and that has to do with the quality of the jobs that we're getting. right? so liz claman made the comment earlier. reagan brought the numbers from 7.4 to 7.5. why are people screeching about obama? it has to do with the quality of the numbers. there are lies. there are damn lies. and then there are statistics. statistics aren't telling the real story. the real story is that the u6 unemployment number that factors into the part-timers is at an an anemic 11%. that's the '82 recession where we were in the throes of things. this is a weird situation. tale of two cities. corporations doing really well. middle class and lower class is not doing well. >> .3% again, i don't think that's at all -- what about the dollar? we've been looking at the dollar

strengthening. earnings will be -- >> the dollars will be -- the dollar is putting a crimp on the international earnings. slowing down growth. gdp numbers will be anemic as a result of that. there's another thing for the federal reserve to worry about. you saw what the bond market did before it closed today. that was a doveish thing that was going on in the bond market. i think this is near-term positive for stocks. it sends that message again which we've been resonating the federal reserve will be lower on interest rates. not move interest rates -- >> but they seem to kind of -- for all intents and purposes, blow off their targets. unemployment six -- then we'll start raising rates. so much for that plan. >> okay. but this is super important for viewers. focus on the u6 unemployment number, not the u1 number that being posted by the news media. which is 5.4%. the real number is 11%. until that gets into
