movies. some nerd sits down and within two seconds he had hacked into a bank or government facility or changed his grades. it doesn't work that way. when i see hacks like this were the other ones that have happened with target and everything, these people have been trying to get into the networks for months or even years, it's like you cannot just get in front of a keyboard and get somebody's password. most people think that hackers have a wand and they can guess the password. but they cannot. kennedy: millions of passwords, like a dictionary. >> that is what is called a dictionary attack. when you type in the wrong password to get into your gmail or your facebook, it comes up with a weird character that you have to enter. welcome of the reason that you have to do that is because it gets rid of the dictionary attack so you cannot keep trying different passwords over and over. it stops that.

cash to clean the place up. what is going on over there? >> the problem is they have doubled down and on top of that they have not fired some of the key people involved that were involved in the scandal to begin with. there are a thousand employees that were being investigated for involvement in manipulating waitlist. less than 20 have been fired and in fact using this data, this has decreased. so they are pretending that none of this has happened and this is still 2014 before the scandal and that nothing over the last year has changed the way that the va delivers health care to the veterans.

>> there's $10 million loan that is supposed to fund this. but single-payer isn't exactly a choice. so now you ran into your own problem at the va just trying to get your hearing checked. what happened? >> a couple of years ago i went to get some hearing issues checked out. it took me months to get an appointment. they lost my military medical records and i still don't know where they are. and i was sent to the wrong clinic, had to go on a weekend, it was a disaster. i was fortunate enough when my wife at the time had private insurance and i was able to go on her insurance and i got my own insurance for my work. i never really had to go back. but there's millions of veterans who don't have that choice and the va is the only source of health care, so they are stuck in this failing system. >> the system, is he really running this?

>> secretary macdonald is not running the va. he might be in charge, but the guy that is really driving this is the va chief of staff who was before that the deputy chief of staff at the white house. a direct line to the white house, obviously the end of the day he is the one talking a president obama or valerie jarrett or someone else at the white house him and he's really the one who is driving this agenda and not secretary macdonald. because we have been very critical. i have personally, but i think he really does want to change things and i think that he does want to have some interesting ideas but at the end of the day he is really getting told what to do. >> by the way, does the white house pays veterans?

it seems like the white house would have a vested interest in seeing the va succeeded, but what do you think is going on with the white house in regards to this? >> breslau i want to be clear that i don't think that they hate veterans, but ideologically they do not believe in health care freedom or health care toys. obamacare is the prime example of moving people towards more of a government controlled health care system. ideologically they don't want to move this in the other direction towards more health care freedom. but the big reason why the whole mindset around the scandal has been simply and political damage control, they want to contain it, they want to stop the bleeding, they want to move on from it. >> throwing money at it has not created a band-aid. we have about 30 seconds left. what can fix the va? >> real health care freedom and health care toys for veterans.
