it is rough out there are to the millenials, 18 to 34-year-olds are three times likely to receive financial help from their parents. compared to what their parents got at the same age, according to new survey from "usa today" and bank of america this is what was amazing to me. within that group of 18 to 34, those who are 26 to 34, 22% of them, were getting help from their parents. 34 years old and you're still getting money all the time from your parents, in order to live. katie, do you still get money from your parents? >> i do not. melissa: really personal question. >> i've been off the dole for a while now. so you know it is a big problem. i think that is combination obviously of the economy. there are not a lot of jobs for millenials out there. there is problem of work ethic. millenial generation which i'm a part of are entitled. they come out of college, think they're entitled to $100,000 a year for work they do. don't want to start from the bottom. mcdonald's is perfect example.

they think they're entitled to $15 an hour at minimum wage than working up to manager to make more money. i would rather have people getting money from their family than the government. >> good point. melissa: south dakota is making interesting pitch for millenials. >> mars, the air not breathable. the surface, cold and barren. but thousands are lining up for a chance to go and never come back! ♪ south dakota progressive, productive, and abundant in oxygen. why die on mars when you can live in south dakota? melissa: okay. that is a real ad. i think it is hysterical. this is their pitch to get millenials, let's ask our marketing expert. genius. >> genius. what did south dakota have before this? we're at least not north dakota. >> where was custer's last

and helping us to try to understand what is going on with this phenomenon. i want to start with the incident that happened late sunday where six men were arrested. they were ages 19 to 21 and they were trying to go to syria, to join isis. help us understand why does this happen? what is their inspiration to do this? >> the, thank you for the inviting me again. isis tries to target young muslims by giving them a message of, you know, joining the cause. and that cause come here, you have a sense of dignity, a sense of honor. you will be able to defend the community that is target around the world, defend islam. that is the message isis sends to young people. you have to know that the

percentage of young people may be attracted to this message are very small percentage. majority of young muslims in america are part of the american social fabric. they are scouting program boy scouts, girl scout programs. they are volunteering in their mosque in their communities. only those sometimes who go online and seeking interpretation of events overseas, that they become targeted, or become a subject of targeting of isis and other notorious organizations. melissa: you want our audience to understand this is very small minority. that this isn't the majority of people in your community and we would be wrong to think this is everyone? >> yes. melissa: we are being showed there is anyone that want to do that we appreciate you coming on to help us understand. i want to move on to the couple in alabama who lost their daughter to isis, this 20-year-old girl, who is going by the name hoda. she was in a birmingham suburb.

she went off to syria, to try and join the islamic state. as a woman, and knowing what it's like to be in this culture, as they go to syria you know where she is going to be, i mean really, anything could happen none of it looks positive, if she is going off to be a bride. why should we want to do this? what could they say to make a girl want to do this? >> isis is a cult. one of the natures of a cult is mental control. they don't leave the young person alone. they start connecting with them, they keep sending message, promises that if you come here, you have better life. and they post all of this so-called, cool videos, that if you come here you will have a life. you will get married. we will produce our own food and stand for the right cause, all kind of you know propaganda that sometimes gets young people

confused. if you look to the gang recruitment why would a young person join a gang in america? seems vulnerability of person subject to gang recruitment, the same circumstances that make a young person become subject to isis. but one of the good things, one of the good news that we have that the parents are more involved now we stopped as you have heard, some young people from traveling. there are more relationship now between the muslim community and government and law enforcement in local areas. and engaging in awareness. we had three workshops in our own mosque about internet safety. and we spoke about the recruitment take place on internet. and we explained who are those people, what kind of method they're using, what kind of
