12:44 pm
in and buy them at this level now. >> yeah. i still like the stock this level, i think the three tier approach working very well, which is content. it got smash hits out there with the marvel franchise, and then you've got the use of technology, they're just killing it on the use of technology and they've got global growth. so there's still plenty of upside ahead for disney . >> i'm shocked at the prices you will pay if you go to the theme park, and i'm absolutely astonished of how many people they're packing in there at $100 a pop. >> it's extremely expensive but the thing is it's all about the user experience, when my family has gone there we've had a great time, people still rave about the experience, and that's are really the thing. you can charge as long as the user has a great experience, they're willing to pay top price. and also look at the context. when ac/dc came through year a few years ago they were charging $100 a pop for
12:45 pm
concert tickets and it's difficult to see for families to go see baseball, and that's why you're seeing companies like disney upgrade the overall experience so they still have profit margins and people rave about the experience they've had. >> yeah. they do indeed. and how about pa panera the stock is at 1 82. would you be right back the stock at this level? >> i wouldn't buy it at this level. you know, their earnings for last quarter were not particularly strong. i'm not really thread with what's going on with their standing, you've had some problems with the weather particularly on the east coast and they're doing some rebranding of the stores. but i didn't read i mean every single word of the release and everything that the ceo said, and i don't think this is a pr stunt on panera's part,
12:46 pm
consumers are demanding gluten free nongmo, as it fits into that and it seems very sincere what they're trying to do, and they are at heart a food company and female people are getting more and more concerned of the quality and ingredients in their food. i don't see it as a big callous for this at this point, it's a good indicator for things to come down, but right now i'm not very impressed with the stock . >> okay. mr. robinson, how do i call you armstrong? >> i don't know. >> i'm getting old. thank you michael we appreciate it. >> thank you . >> i'm staying on panera and bringing in one of the regular guests on the program by the name of john, he's the man behind bar rescue be which is on spike tv. welcome to the show. panera removing 150 artificial ingredients by the end of 2016. is this just pr? just marketing? and do you agree with it?
12:47 pm
>> well, i agree with you, and that i think it's sincere but at the end of the day if it lowered the value of the company, would they be doing it? i think not. so certainly their job is to drive value drive shareholder value, but this is a good move and it's consistent with trends and you and i have talked about messaging to millennials before. the millennials love a story. the issue is not all additives are bad for you and some of them affect the look of the products. and when they go through this cycle, which is going to take them about two years to complete how are the products going to look? are cheeses going to lose their colors and then the be as appetizing visually as there are now? so there could be a cost to pay at the visual appeal to the products, but it sounds good; right? >> yeah. you know a thing or two about turning restaurants around, this is a good move that you would do turkey, go for those younger people and
12:48 pm
change the ingredients. >> i'm not sure i would say every additive. we need to look at the end result chemically and what happens to foods. just a few seconds ago you were talking about how women are living longer. >> yeah. >> so we in one breath we talk about how we're living longer and another breath we're talking about how additives killing us. so not everything in food is bad for you. >> yeah. >> it's ain't american holiday, but it's going to become one because people like you know how to market and sell tequila, isn't that the truth? >> me? in reality it's a day in mexico on a pretty small scale battle that happened on may 5th. so they're not going crazy in mexico for this holiday our hospitality industry has embraced it just like the toy industry embraced halloween
12:49 pm
stewart . >> do you get a spike of tequila sales in bars that you run. >> absolutely. not only that, when take a look new year's eve and the other busiest days of the year today is one of the busiest days in our industry now. it's a significant holiday and it really impacts the bar industry . >> i just love that fine american capitalism, we'll take somebody else's holiday and sell some tequila, what's wrong with that? >> nothing. . >> make a few bucks and smiled. i love it. you've got to tell me you've got a dvd coming out, what is this may 19th. >> yeah. may 19th the first ever bar rescue dvd goes on market and a lot of shows do season one, two, three, we did a series of my toughest rescues from all three of the first seasons. and as a bonus in the back, my back to the bar toughest owners episode.
12:50 pm
>> yeah. >> on that dvd the front cover there be you've got a tough look on your face, mystery i'm going to tell you. but i know it's going to sell. >> i'm a sweet heart, you know that stewart. >> yes, i do come back to new york soon okay. >> okay. >> the ceo of panera will be on a program called after the bell 4:00 p.m. eastern time on this network that is the fox business network. that man on the air. visit a store get coupons beamed to your smartphone through the store's lightbulbs. yes, that has arrived. we'll explain it too

>> let me try to explain this. some retailers are now using special lightbulbs that be beam coupons directly to your smartphone as you walk around the store. you've got that? i think i need to explain this one more time. let me see if i've got this right. >> okay. go ahead. >> here's my little smartphone okay? there it is. so i'm walking around the store, i'm in front of a display, i'm looking at a
12:55 pm
product, and the lightbulb in the ceiling booms to me a coupon for the product that i'm looking at. is that accurate? is that what's happening? >> in arb in a quick glance, that's exactly what's happening. your smartphone is becoming even more powerful. ge has developed these lights that lute led lighting transmits a code to the cameras on your phone. so it's transmitting a code into the light frequency to the camera on your phone and it can know within five to ten centimeters where you are in a certain i'll . >> wow. how far away from that being reality are we? >> well, they said they were in development for the past four years and they're actually complimenting it in two large retailers currently.
12:56 pm
they hope to have a full roll out by the end of the year. so listen it's not coming to your local mom and pop store tomorrow but what ge is trying to do as the these retailers to give brands and opportunities to delivery personal advertisements when you're look at toothpaste and they want these energy efficient lighting units to go into the store and this gives them another opportunity. >> all right. sounds great to me. do you have any problem with this? >> it does sound great to me, especially if they can prove that five to ten centimeter accuracy. my issue is if you're in cvs and you're in the i'll that carries solution for athletes foot and face lotions and perhaps it beams down a coupon that you don't quite have, it could be a little disturbing, but if they implement it in the right way in places like home depot i'm always looking for ways to save money and
12:57 pm
with the one trick trych though, you have to have the retailer's app installed on your phone. >> oh. >> yeah, we are an app nation, so you have to have that app installed, and then you can get those coupons on your phone. >> well, you got to the good stuff. that is interesting. thank you for being us. >> more varney after this
