at 7:30 a.m. eastern time, monthly report on corporate layoffs from challenger gray and christmas. an hour after that, a weekly look at jobless claims. 270,000 people expected for first-time jobless benefits last week. i'd be down from the 282,000. of course this comes ahead of friday. tomorrow's a government monthly jobs report 225,000 expected to be a nonfarm payroll payroll to the unemployment rate remaining at 5.4%. also today at 8:30, final reading on first-quarter product can be expected to decline a little from the previous reading. we will be watching all of that for you. check in on this morning's market action. lots of weakness overseas. here at the u.s. stock futures. the nasdaq have been slightly positive earlier in trading, but negativity across the board as we obeyed the greek that talks to conclude the deadline tomorrow.

look at what is moving in today's markets and what to expect for the day ahead. there could be a major connection happening in the industry. "the wall street journal" reporting dish network and talks to merge with t-mobile u.s.a. what you have. laura: you have at&t trying to buy directv for $49 billion. charter trying to buy time warner cable in breakout $67 billion. we don't know the reported price tag of this deal, but both t-mobile and dish are valued at least $30 billion. this deal would be huge. what does it mean for customers? fewer options. that could affect pricing. that could affect services you get. everybody else is merging are trying to do. seems like it would make sense. sandra: all these telecom communications companies doing anything they can so they don't miss about him at that the next thing is.
