i think there are a lot of skeptics into this category and it is a natural part of things? >> you know, i would say that what else isn't normal is a layout. and i have a list of not normal people. >> yes ,-com,-com ma it is true, that is the case. i admit global warming is happening. >> i admit that it is happening as well. and i would much rather visit a warm climate. and i have been praying for this day and she is the barometer for what is normal. >> she has worked in government for 25 years, now the obama administration, there is no way she can tell anyone what is normal and she has no idea the impact of the epa legislation,

>> yes. >> there has been a controversy that has gone back and forth and back and forth for generations over what to do with the flag and the governor of south carolina saying that i think that we should get rid of it, there's no place for it. how do you feel about the people who say that this represents heritage? >> i feel that the confederate flag -- let it go. we can never make it positive. you know, my whole life, i felt this flag was a symbol of hate. you stereotype people and if you fly it, i assume that you are a racist redneck. so let it go. why are we holding onto these symbols? kennedy: i think that it has a more negative connotation than positive. and it's like no, that's not a positive. we let the and word go, you let

doubt about that. the government could be doing better. and part of it is the communication process and how do we deal with the families and help them through the process, which by the way whether it is james foley or kayla mueller, they all said the same thing. they had no idea that they were getting conflicted accounts. they didn't know when they were going to be rescued. >> my problem with the whole situation is that as with many things coming out of the white house, you still have inconsistency in mixed messages. the government cannot do this negotiation. and you guys can raise private finance and do this as well. >> let me ask you, should families be allowed to pay ransom to terrorists captors? >> i am more concerned that we

claim we don't negotiate but we actually do. you know, we have a huge pile of cash for bowe bergdahl, this created a huge incentive for people to be kidnapped by other bad guys. and. >> you know, before we move on, do you think that that created a work situation and the government says that they are trying to avoid this in the first place, which is paying ransom to people as a government entity. >> you know, especially anybody that harbors this, we are creating this. >> whether you're talking about the islamic state or the ira, it doesn't matter. they are going to do everything they can to maximize that.

this whole process was like triaging bad press. we are allowing the emotion and family members, allowing them this and i have a problem with that. and that is a separate issue. >> you know, they are the only ones that can afford to do this kind of thing. >> you know, to say that behind the scenes you have to do it.
