reporter: and good morning to you, sandra. there's two parts to this story break now. the political side with the greek government in brussels said to lay out their latest bailout. there are reports that deal is going to include up to a 30% haircut on its existing debt. i can tell you right now germany has heard he said no way. we are not going to agree to that. the creditors hold all the cars spirit they don't have to worry about time constrained. time is running out. the second part of the story come the social aspect of what is going on in greece and the struggles of the greek people. i make it out of the way is clear out of central afghan democrats continue to grow. the ecb yesterday announced it would not decrease its emergency funding to greek banks in fact raised its collateral requirements on any future lung

and existing loans. that takes even more money out of the greek banks that are literally hours if not days away from running out of cash. by the way, one other aspect of all of this because greece is not allowing any transfer of money out, no one can use paypal anymore. they can't use the apple apps store. they can't use anything that uses a greek bank account that goes overseas. the big cut off from the internet as well. sandra: fascinating angle to this story. thank you very much. u.s. treasury secretary jack lou spoke with the greece prime minister yesterday saying the u.s. is looking forward to athens in creditors resuming conversation. president obama also spoke with french leader and they agreed on the importance for finding a path for grace to remain in eurozone. the obama administration has

downplayed the impact it could have on the u.s. economy. it could have an impact on the u.s. and its growth that they eurozone economy. translation it could hurt the u.s. crude oil prices trading higher after posting one of the biggest palace in the previous session. the poll follows the story this morning. huge moves in oil prices. people talking about how global they go. nicole: we are down three sessions allowed. in eight days only one had an up arrow. this moment we see a little bit of a recovery for oil. see it up about 61 cents after crude tumbled nearly 8% yesterday. the largest one-day job since april after greek voters rejected demand for the creditors and find the growth in china. we can't leave out iran, too. let's take a look. some of the other names in the

we will see how they did yesterday. exxon down. chevron, diamond offshore, royal dutch, shell, all of these names to the downside. we saw gasoline at around 277 today. there have been some calls for $2 gasoline. i wouldn't count on it. it goes up more quickly than it does come down. that is the other factor. we talked about china they are. sandra: opec is cap levels consistent to weed out our show producers in the u.s. and they haven't been able to do that successfully. then you put in 1 million barrels a day and oil goes there to vioxx. sandra: opec doesn't have the power of months used to. the roller coaster ride continues in the shanghai market. up one day, down the next.

as of this morning lauren has the story. lauren: again, prices going up. the tall and thin tea coffee. we will see the prices go up between 5 cents in 20 cents. the average will be one% more expensive. raw coffee beans coming down more than 42% last year. not starbucks. the labor component is interesting here. as companies pay better benefits. they are slowly passing on the cost to you and me. they raised many prices 10% in san francisco after they hike the minimum wage. one example of trends we are watching. starbucks very profitable. sandra: i've been a member since 2008.

the hotel there were long lines at every atm on the way home and many atms. people around the clock desperately trying to get the cash. certainly an interesting day. the next 24 hours will be absolutely pivotal. sandra: ashley, it baffles me. the stock market is shut. people are celebrating in the streets. you notice young people because they know most of the nova did come in from a younger demographic. when you look at these people and talk to them, you say what are you celebrating? have you had a chance to ask them? reporter: i have. they are celebrating a bloody nose to the e.u. and in particular the germans mobbing their nose thing you can put asunder all this austerity but we are not going to take any more. if it means propaganda in the eurozone, so be it.

how about oversupply from iran. those are some of the factors moving in on crude. right now it is up about 1.1%. again, dropped 8% yesterday, down three sessions in a row, which is nearly 12%. let's check our big oil stocks you know so well. exxon, chevron, both dropped yesterday. exxon for the year down 10% from the chevron down 15%. here is a look at royal dutch as well. those are the factors go into oil. we see a bounce back, but it's been down seven of the last eight trading sessions. that is very keen to follow as well. sandra: despite the big move there wasn't even the biggest this year. we had a bigger move in february. the oil market in energy market remains extremely volatile. the roller coaster ride continues in the shanghai stock market. up one day, down the next.
