day. >> how is it going? >> i'm doing good. how are you? >> i'm doing pretty good for now. kennedy: you are a michigander. why are you doing this? what keeps you running? >> well, the goal is to raise $10,000 for a foundation to this village in mozambique and get access to clean water and that is a motivator see when you are 23 years old. how much of a run or were you before you started this? >> i've been running for a couple of years. last year or so i've been doing 70 or 80 miles per week to get ready for this. the one that is pretty solid. kennedy: what keeps you going? how long have you been doing this reign. >> it has been a little over two months. kennedy: you're going to do this over 100 days?

>> yes, probably 99, but right around there. kennedy: you are a little over two thirds of the way to your goal. i imagine that the first couple of weeks is pretty exciting. but are there days when you wake up and the last thing you want to do is run? >> yes, it's like the first couple of hours it was exciting and then you realize that you have to be doing this for the next three months. the first couple of weeks were rough. and then as we have gotten closer it's gone a little bit easier. but definitely some tough mental moments out there. kennedy: do you ever get emotional? >> i don't think that i have energy to have the emotions. but i'm sure that i would be if i could. kennedy: berkeley, i heard you had some dogs run with you as much as 10 miles. is that true remapped. >> yes, that is a real thing. i will be running by a

farmhouse, a dog will come out, and it seems like they are fascinated or something. they run along with me until i get back to my van and stop. kennedy: you have dog repellent to 's or something you have in case a dog starts running next few? >> just to my house amazed that i occasionally carry but i've gotten pretty good at handling the dogs. >> i'm sure that you have. what about people that have heard her story? are they running with you and matt are you surrounded by the wrong? >> it's not a huge crowd like forrest gump, but i've had a few people that have met along with me. so it's been pretty cool. >> if you run to new york, holler at me. because i will put on what i can run with you for perhaps 8 miles. >> i will hit you up.
