9:00 am
your basement. >> get out of the house into a real life. >> ben stein? >> berkshire hathaway, love it, love it, love it. >> i suggest home depot. have a great weekend. isis calling for armageddon. this is what the president is calling them. >> we call groups like al qaeda, isil, al shah bad, call them what they are, murderers. >> some here say, until the president is willing to call them what they really are, we are not going to win this fight. hi, everybody. i'm elizabeth mcdonald if for david. welcome. thanks for joining us. steve forbes -- >> steve, do we call these
9:01 am
islamic terrorists murderers or terrorism? terrorism is murderers with a motive, with a point. it's for religious reasons or political reasons. >> if you don't call your enemies what they are, it's like calli calling nazi's murders. that's why the world doesn't think we are serious about fighting them. they don't think we are wou rri about fighting iran. that's what got the world worried. we are not serious about fighting. they want to kill us. >> steve, what should we call them? >> islamic terrorists who are out to not only conquer the middle east, but reek havoc on the rest of the world. they are clear. isis is clear about hitting all of us.
9:02 am
they are open about it. >> bruce, the president did say terrorists, the president used the term terrorist and said that terrorists continue to target innocent civilians in that speech. are you okay with the president continuing to routinely call them murderers and down play their status? >> i don't think obama has a lot of street cred on this issue. he did put the bullet in the eye of bin laden. calling them murderers, it's okay. it's a prosecutorial term and it's a term that's been on the books. it's an evolving term. >> bruce brings up prosecutorial. these guys, these islamic terrorists are not just murderers in the eyes of law. terrorists get tougher punishment. they are prone to, you know, capital punishment or locked up
9:03 am
in maximum security. what do you think? >> there may be different audiences that you use different words. we are not interested in hearing the president say radical islamic terrorism. we want to have a better understanding of the threat we are against. if we don't identify the threat and don't understand or conceive of it, what it is, what's motivating it, where it's coming from, we are not going to know how to defeat it. it's important to call it what it is. >> rich, there were recruitment documents that were found. they are clear about the strategy to spread terrorism. not calling them terrorists, does this impact the strategy to fight terror? >> boy, you know, i question that. i agree with everything that steve says. on the wording, i'm not sure. teddy roosevelt said talk softly and carry a big stick. i would prefer that's happening. i don't know that's happening. i doubt it's happening. the world doesn't seem it's
9:04 am
happening. let's kill them. forget the words and go kill them. >> i hear what you are saying. mike, here is the thing. calling them islamic terrorism brings in the silent majority of muslims saying we do not want our religion ruined by this. isn't calling them islamic terrorists part of the strategy to get the peace muslims on the side of stopping them? >> when you weaken the military like the president is doing, when you give iran or want to give iran a clear pathway to a nuclear bomb. when you tell the border police not the stop them from come sboing into the united states, it's a bigger problem than what you call these guys. that's what i'm concerned about. >> john, weakening the ability to fight the terrorists, that impacts the strategy, doesn't it? >> i don't know. i think if people are going around trying to kill people,
9:05 am
call them murderers and many other insulting words. i don't see how words make us officer or change the reality. i think it's counter productive. because you don't use the right words, you are somehow soft on terrorism. if we are going to be at this war, go out and kill people that mean us harm. the words mean nothing to me. >> here is the thing, steve. in the past, when terrorists have not been called terrorism, you see officials get into these circular debates, you know, blaming it on society, terrorist act on society. blaming it on the fact they don't have education. by the way, two-thirds of the 9/11 hijackers planning the hijacking of the plane, two-thirds of them had university degrees or even doctorates or ph.d.s. if you down play it, if you down play that it's just murderers, if it's lost in the weeds of the weird conversations. >> yes, the problem is not they don't have jobs at walmart or
9:06 am
mcdonalds. they are jihadists. they are extremists. they have a mission. they are willing to do any barbaric act to carry it out. words do matter in telling the world we recognize what these enmys are and we are willing to do what we need to go after them. making them sound like street gangs in the middle east underplays the seriousness of the situation. it's symptomatic. the number of bombing missions is a fraction of what we did in kosovo in the 1990s. the world is watching and think we are a declining power. >> bruce, i want to get your reaction to a sound bite we have. here is what the president said last month about our strategy to fight isis. >> we don't yet have a complete strategy because it requires
9:07 am
commitments on the part of the iraqis as well. >> all right. so, commitments on the part of the iraqis. what did you make of what the president was saying? >> well, i mean, we don't -- maybe we don't have commitments from them. we didn't have commitments from the pakistanis when they flew the helicopters in and shot bin laden in the eye. i don't know if that makes a difference. >> sabrina, what did you make of what the president said? >> it's concerning. they are not stand alone instances. one of the reasons words do matter is this is an understanding, even though we are not fighting a specific state, we are fighting movement that is global in nature. it is unified by a belief system. i think when we talk about them as murderers, we are acting as if it's a random killing in nebraska and florida. it's not what's happening here. this is a unified way of thinking and we have to get inside their head if we are going to defeat them. >> the statement you aired about the president is a copout and
9:08 am
doesn't explain why he wouldn't supply the kurds with arms. this is a president that is totally disengaged from what's going on over there. he is not going to get engaged from now until the time he leaves office. >> rich, what do you think? >> if he suddenly began calling them islamic terrorists, does it mean anything? president obama uses words as tools, not a serious thing. a red line in the sand in syria, on the health care plan. it wouldn't cause people to loseary doctors. he's not a credible person when it comes to words anyway. i want to see what's done. >> a former attorney general said it's beyond irresponsible. do you agree with that? >> it sounds silly to me. we mock the left. they say this should be called a hate crime. people who are murdered and doing a hideous act, what
9:09 am
difference does it make? go after those who want to bring us harm. >> next up, do you think the drone, shooting a gun, you think that's scary? another drone did something that ha folks, wait for it, calling for more regulations. can a business have a mind? a subconscious. a knack for predicting the future. reflexes faster than the speed of thought. can a business have a spirit? can a business have a soul? can a business be...alive?

show at 3:00 p.m. drone scare striking, yet again. california officials offering a reward for information on drone operators who interfered with aircraft fighting these dangerous wildfires. we have a kentucky gentleman thrown in jail for shooting a drone down. it was e congresswomened with a camera hovering over his property. we need tougher rules, explain. >> we need clear rules. they are not tiny objects, they
9:14 am
are big. they have the ability to invade people's property. >> john, what do you think, more regulation for drones? >> a resounding no. how quickly we can get goods. why on earth something that can be transformed do we want to let the government in on. imagine if we did that with the internet in the '90s. >> eaf we have drones recording children. terrorists using drones as well. isn't this going to change property rights and property laws on their head? >> absolutely. just as the rise of the automobile. you had rules of the road and things like that to make sure you didn't have anarchy, didn't hurt the rise of the automobile and the way it enriched society. you have this new vehicle that
9:15 am
can do a lot of good, but having to do good, you can't have anarchy. if something is over my house, invading my property, that guy did right. you need rules of the air, not rules of the road, rules of the air so they can prosper and not run into airplanes and invade people's property. >> not got in trouble for using a weapon to shoot down the drone. look at this. it's a drone equipped with a gun. where do you come in on this, what do you think? >> if you are going to fly a drone, at least as steve points out in the automobile industry, have a driver's license, a permit to fly it. i know john doesn't like regulation, but you could have commercial for business and people driving around. people are flying them into the white house. it's ridiculous. they are asking for regulation. >> as the rules stand now, the
9:16 am
faa rules say the people operating the drones, they have to get permission from the people whose property they are flying over. really? that's really going happen? what do you think? >> i'm wary of regulations and i don't like regulation that is come in the wake of hysteria. i want to make sure we are being careful. i think drones have the opportunity to help the economy. we have the right to certain protections for privacy. this is very fast developing technology and may be the case that state and local laws do need to tighten up in order to make sure i am protected or my children are outside and we can't have our privacy taken away. >> property laws are going to change. bill wharks do you think? >> i wonder if they are aware of the fact model airplane that is are smaller than drones have killed people. a woman was walking down the
9:17 am
sidewalk and got taken out. the other, a radio controlled helicopter turned on its owner. wait until one of these toys takes out the elevator on an airbus. >> you know john, amazon thinks they can fix the problem with drone free zones. what do you think of what bill said? >> it does not mean fact. >> wait a second. wait a so he could, john. it's not fact when somebody dies. i mean it is fact that a person dies. it's more than a fact. >> i'm dieing to meet the people because they are in government they have halos around their head and can protect us. we are hearing about privacy. government has been great about our privacy. we are hearing private property. they have been great at protecting that. where are the angels in government that are going to do the wonderful thing that is my
9:18 am
pan panelmates say they are going to do. >> the drones are physical objects. they have weight. they have velocity. they are like cars. they are like airplanes. >> steve, what do you think? >> the faa has been a barrier to the development of drones in the country until recently. we are behind europe. that's where regulation has been bad. regulation, where you have zones where they can fly, where you have certain property rights, you don't have anarchy. there's not a choice between rules and an or ki. you can have sensible rules of the road. we want sensible rules so they can be developed protecting some of our basic rights. >> next up, the "cashin' in" gang getting ready role. what do you have? >> donald trump before next week's big debate on fox. he's telling us what he thinks
9:19 am
about the other presidential hopefuls and what would be his first act if he wins it white house. all that and more. don't miss this one, 11:30 eastern. >> thanks, we will be watching. up here first, what tom brady's suspension

9:22 am
welcome back, the patriots tom brady is appealing his four-game suspension amid accusations he destroyed evidence during the deflategate
9:23 am
probe. it's more punishment than anyone at the irs is getting in destroyed of conservatives. sabrina, there's a push to force the irs chief's resignation. do you agree with that? >> absolutely. our public officials are accountable for their actions. destroying evidence is serious. just because we don't use feather pens and parchment doesn't mean the constitution doesn't stand. trying to hide behind technology is a terrible thing that must be stopped. >> the irs e rarased back up ta to protect evidence. bruce, on that fact alone, should the irs chief be fired? >> i don't think so. in the situation here, you have the investigation that's been so part of them. if you look at the tom brady thing, you had found e-mails and texts of the ball boys and other
9:24 am
people. i think maybe what you are missing, if there is anything at all are texts, people on the other end. that's how they got brady. >> the thing is, the federal records, these guys in the irs, steve, they do not have to archive their instant messages or texts. a lot of them were using text messages. is there enough to have the irs chief fired sf. >> that many times over and prosecuted. then the flouting the law, ignoring subpoenas. you have plenty to fire him and prosecute him. he's turned this irs into a criminal enterprise, acting like loui xiv. >> he's a team player. he's supportive of the obama.
9:25 am
let's go right to impeachment. >> rich, do you think that's the way to go? >> yeah. yeah. i think the connection to eric holder and to president obama are there. after all, president obama said in 2012 that our elections are about helping your friends and punishing your enemies. that's what the irs has been turned into. >> mike, the irs is there for the taxpayer. we don't exist for the irs. that's why the story is so problematic. >> you are right. he should be fired. the solution is to bring roger goodell in and bring him to congress. >> steve, what do you think? >> is that a good idea? >> i'm not sure that's going to happen. i say you are not going to get much with this administration. impeachment proceedings can begin to educate the public. seasoning great show. the cars on the road that are

9:30 am
are beaten down. companies that make them. >> that's it for forbes on fox. you have been terrific. thank you for watching. keep it here. we continue with eric and "cashin' in." thanks for joining us. ahead of the big debate, the big interview. i'm eric and this is "cashin' in." no matter what you think of donald trump, polls show he's the nominee if it is today. i think the gop establishment is afraid of donald trump and i ask him why. >> i don't understand it. i say what i say, which is something that makes america great. basically, what i want to do, eric, is make our country great again. we are going in the wrong direction. it's not turned around easily. we are really far down. almost, i don't want t
