rain pounding the east coast in tropical storm joaquín strengthens. what's the latest, maría. >> maria: we are tracking joaquín in the atlantic, 70 miles per hour and storm to continue to strengthen out here and eventually take a northward turn. the question becomes what happens with any potential landfall. too soon to tell you details on that. one of the players that could turn to the north is front that's moving eastward. we received as much as 6-inches of rain across virginia so we have a number of flood watches. watches in effect out there.
