the retailer plans to cut 500 jobs in headquarters in arkansas. they are trying to boost online sales. official word could come as early as tomorrow. wal-mart, they are not commenting, they did hint about the job's cut when they released earnings. more than 18,000 people work in headquarters in arkansas. >> nicole: more data on the job market today. leading up to tomorrow monthly report. first up 7:30 eastern time corporate layoffs from challenger and now later we'll get the weekly jobs, 270,000, slight increase from the pyre week and that sets the stage for tomorrow's job report. 203,000 jobs are expected to be added to payrolls.

sustained winds of 120 miles per hour pounding the baa -- bahamas as i speak. for more maría molina. good morning to you, weather check for us, maría. >> maria: right now we have joaquín impacting the bahamas. we are looking 120 miles per hour. 2-4 feet in tide levels. it's a life-threatening storm and the conditions should continue throughout the day today and potentially early tomorrow morning, so an extended period of time, rough conditions in the bahamas. it's moving very slowly at 5 miles per hour. we have been talking about the current to the north. the storm is forecast to continue and intensify out here. we have very warm waters and joaquín can potentially become a category four hurricane. that's a big concern out here
