dow up 39 points in the premarket. s&p up six. nasdaq up more than 15. don't want to think we're tricking you on trick and treat. nicole: hang seng, shanghai and kospi all pulling back. there was hope of stimulus. they didn't get it today but hope is still there. cheryl: let's look at europe. ftse in london is down an entire three points. cac 40 up 14. dax is up 26. nicole: valeant pharmaceuticals facing more fallout as investors question the work with specialty pharmacies. cvs, express scripts and united health have all stopped doing business with phillidor. phillidor rx services which valeant uses to distribute its drugs. the news hit valeant hard after hours, sending it down more than 13%. the troubles began when short sellers citron research that

they used phillidor to falsify sales. valeant maintains that report is untrue. cvs health, optimum, are three large pharmacy managers in the united states. just moments ago valeant says it is early nating the relationship with philly door. cheryl: book news there. we're falling on stock stories. shares of linkedin, stock to watch, shares of professional service dropping 12% in extended trading after third quarter revenue and profit topped expectations. linkedin raised full-year guidance. shares of starbucks losing ground after the coffee giant issued disappointing earnings guidance for the holiday quarter. this overshadowed impressive results for starbucks quarter. revenue surged to nearly five billion dollars improved traffic and spending in starbucks stores. speaking of revenue, ab inbefore

is raising full-year revenue forecast on higher than expected shims of premium beer. they extended talks with rival sabmiller. nicole: we'll get results from two major oil companies later this morning. expectations for both exxonmobil and chevron are not high, given this year's sharp decline in oil and natural gas prices. analysts look for exxonmobil to earn 89 cents a share on revenue of 64 billion. that would be sharply lower year-over-year however, one bright spot could be exxonmobil's refining operations thanks to lower prices. last quarter they almost doubled earnings from year ago. exxon expected to post 76 cents a share on revenue of $30 billion, down sharply from this time last year. both are dow components. we'll see how they affect the dow. cheryl: let's look at some headlines in today's edition of "the wall street journal" for you.

first one, aig mortgage spin-off sale is on the table. so that is a stock to watch. next one mutual funds flail at valuing startups. next one, pursuit of james bond film writes kicks into high gear. sony distribution deal expires after the release of "spectre" coming out next week in the united states. journal says several studios, warner brothers, paramount plan to seek distribution rights even though little profit in releasing bond films but they will give it a shot. nicole: "spectre" is supposed to actually do really well. coming in sports the new england patriots crushed the miami dolphins and remain unbeaten. then there is baseball. mets are back in tonight for crucial game 3 of world series come on, mets. what happens when a giant pumpkin rolls down the street in arizona? we'll tell you about that stocks are up roughly 9%. u.s. stock index futures up 35. s&p up five 1/2.
