11:00 pm
we'd love to hear it. send me an e-mail or go to our website, strangeinheritance.com. moment of the show. you also don't want to miss lou dobbs. he's next. . lou: good evening, everybody, i'm lou dobbs, a major shakeup in the race for the republican presidential nomination. a brand-new national poll finding ben carson overtaking donald trump at the top of the gop voter poll. carson taking 29% support, that's the highest percentage any gop has obtained so far in this survey. trump taking 23 pest. republican presidential candidates are outraged at their treatment by nbc and they're trying to gain more control over up coming debates, representatives from all but carly fiorina's camp
11:01 pm
are meeting to try to wrestle control from both the republican national committee and the network's hosting those debates. but some say the list of their demands is much too long, we'll be picking up the 2016 race with real clear politics, caitlyn burns and town haul guy benson, including this for the first time since july name other than trump to top a national poll. also tonight, a deepening mystery over the weekend a airline crashed in egypt that killed all 229 people aboard. company executives have ruled out technical or human error. but aviation officials say any conclusion at this point would be premature. u.s. officials say they're not ruling out terrorism. and liberal hollywood rushing to director clinton's defense over his anticop comments. >> i'm a human being with a conscious. and when i see murder, i
11:02 pm
cannot stand by. and i have to call the murder, the murdered, and i have to call the murderers, the murderers. >> i want to say this, you're a boss, you're absolutely amazing, keep speaking the truth and telling the truth and don't worry about none of the haters. i'm going to tell you that right now. lou: we take off the haters here tonight. the real haters those leading the war in police and our top story big changes could be coming to the republican presidential race and debates. representatives from nearly all the campaigns met last night to address concerns after last week's cnbc debate debacle and now trying to regain control from the republican national committee over how those debates are structured. fox news chief political correspondent carl cameron with our report. >> a two and a half page draft letter from the gop campaign
11:03 pm
directly to the debate broadcasters makes clear the candidates no longer want to negotiate through the republican national committee, which wasn't even invited to a meeting to the campaigns last night. instead they tapped gop super lawyer as their negotiator. >> the candidates do want to negotiate for themselves. i think they are appreciative of the rule, the rnc and the setting of the schedule. but at the end of the it's the candidates who walk up on the stage and so they want -- they want the information -- >> 30 days before each debate, the candidates want specific questions answered about format and logistics. the draft raises concerns about biographies and graphics. how time will be managed fairly and more so that each candidate can decide to take part or not. the trump camp will not work off the letter and work on its own. after the 2012 debates, republican national committee announces for the first time ever the rnc this time would exert control over debates. now under fire for the results. a three-hour debate by the cnn and what the candidates call
11:04 pm
bias questions by the gop. insist the candidates are not cutting the party out. >> no. the truth is we're involved -- we're in control, we're setting the calendar, in fact, if what happens from last night goes forward, i think it's exactly where we want to be. >> has tapped a new player in hoping to stay in control of debates, sean has been temporarily retasked to working with campaigns on debates. it's unclear how interested they are. some candidates downplay the debate over debates all together. >> you know, stop complaining. do me a favor. set up a stage, put podiums up there, and let's just go. >> we have no trouble negotiating with comments, i'll debate anyone any time anywhere. >> in new hampshire where the first primary is in 15 weeks, donald trump leaves ben carson in the latest poll and marco rubio john kasich and ted cruz are on his heels. jeb bush has gone to 6th in his state.
11:05 pm
>> if you watched the debate, you think the election is about sound bites. >> to reboot his campaign in his home state and new hampshire this week. a slap at his rivals and promise to the nominating. >> we're going to win this campaign. >> backers disappointed by his last debate performance, the next debate is in milwaukee by fbn, they do not expect demands to be next week but they will for the rest of the. lou: carl cameron will have a lot more on dr. ben carson taking 29% of the support in the newest nbc wall street journal poll. now, this is so new that the nbc and the wall street journal have released only these headlines on the rebuttal. they will be coming out with the full poll at mid-tonight but because and point of fact dr. ben carson moving to 29%,
11:06 pm
that is the highest percentage that any gop candidate has managed to obtain so far in the nbc wall street journal poll. trump staying relatively stable, he's at 23% that's actually a decline of about 2% from the previous poll, marco rubio has moved up smartly as has ted cruz at 11 and 10%, jeb bush at 8%. but to show you just how striking it is, dr. ben carson has moved to the top, this represents a tripling of his numbers back in july. well, you don't want to miss the next republican debate as carl cameron was just mentioning, fox business network hosts like that debate. that's coming up next tuesday november 10th will be in milwaukee, wisconsin, we're broadcasting monday and tuesday from milwaukee, and, please, join us for the republican presidential debate right here on the fox business network next tuesday anchored by neil cavuto and maria

bartiromo in conjunction with the wall street journal. in washington, new house speaker paul ryan says he will not work with the president to change immigration policy. >> extensively on my views about immigration, i'm an open book on this subject. by the way, on immigration, i don't think we can trust the president on this issue. the president has proven himself untrustworthy on this issue because he tried to unilaterally write the law himself, presidents don't write laws, congress does, he's proven himself untrustworthy. lou: was on all five sunday talk shows over the weekend where he laid out his vision for the republican party, the gop needs to become a proposition party rather than an opposition party, putting forth policy ideas not simply opposing those much others. turning no, you to the fall out over the president's decision to send almost 50

special operations troops to syria. his announcement facing skepticism across the political spectrum. some critics say deploy troops should require congressional approval some say more needs to be done and some a warning getting involved in a quagmire, that is the syrian civil war. fox news white house correspondent kevin cork has our report. >> it's not new. that's what the obama administration is saying about its evolving strategy in syria, the one that will now send special operations forces to advise and assist syrian rebels. >> some people i think have almost equated this as if it's a full-scale return to, you know, the iraq war or something here. the fact of the matter is the school and the nation of the u.s. mission is drastically different. >> what's different is the white house's effort to wrap up the fight by putting american boots on the ground.
11:09 pm
the president's plan calls for up to 50 special operators to begin an advisory role in syria. a sifting kurdish fighters known as the ypg in the north. a group that has been accused of human rights violations by amnesty international. this as rebels have put syrians said to be loyal to the president in cages as human shields against government air strikes. further complicating matters, competing interest for both the and did you say its coalition pattern turkey, which has been hostile to the same syrian occurred force that the u.s. has supported. despite that, the turks have agreed to allow a10 and f15 aircrafts to position at the air obligation baste to protect forces and american advisors. >> you can't ask special forces, i can't ask special forces to win a war. >> critics say putting the small group of americans in syria will do little to enhance the mission. >> when we look at these 50 advisors going into syria, we have to consider what the
11:10 pm
ramifications are of some of them getting killed, captured, of us not really having an impact on isis and our determination to degrade and destroy it. >> and at least one expert think so the president's strategy has less to do today than 2015. >> so then it's his legacy he can say, look, it was bush's fault that we have iraq and afghanistan's war and it's the next guy's fault that we lost them. >> foreign ministers from 17 different countries met in vena today for about seven hours or so, and i think it's interesting to point out that many of those in attendance talking about the syrian war talking about opposing sides. now, we understand by the read out that they did reach several points of agreements and it included representatives from both iran and saudi arabia and if you know how that has been at least historically speaking, the fact that they were at the same table is saying something, lou. lou: remarkable.
11:11 pm
kevin, thank you so much. kevin cork from the white house. iran making it clear tonight it still considers the united states to be its enemy despite coming to agreement on the nuclear deal with president obama and world powers. iran's supreme leader so called warned officials against importing american consumer goods when sanctions are lifted. the ayatollah saying the country should quote develop an economy of resistance and focus on self reliance. a majority of iranian lawmakers say they would not abandon the slogan death to america, which is frequently chanted during friday prayers in iran. we're coming right back with much more. stay with us >> russia's military build up mobilizing jet fighters and bombers, troops, warships, and submarines at levels not seen in decades. just what are the russians up to? ambassador john bolton joins us next.

lou: german chancellor will address her nation's parliament tomorrow on the issue of the illegal immigration and refugee crisis. this weekend merkel failed to resolve differences on her coalition on how to deal with the 10,000 people crossing into germany each and every day. 10,000 a day. so far merkel has rejected closing down her nation's borders or capping the number of refugees despite public concerns and party popularity that has just simply nose dived turning to egypt and the crash of that russian jet which killed all 224 people onboard this weekend. airline officials blaming now a quote external influence for the saturday crash. but u.s. intelligence officials have not ruled out terrorism according to the director of national intelligence, james.
11:17 pm
>> we don't have any direct evidence of any terrorist involvement yet. >> does isis have the ability to shoot down an airliner? >> it's unlikely but i wouldn't rule it out. lou: there you have it. and clapper also saying the islamic state has a quote aggressive affiliate in the peninsula. join us you go now former u.s. ambassador to the united nations, american enterprise senior institute, and fox news contributor as well, and good to have you here. >> glad to be here. lou: russia, one would assume has a paramount interest in what happened to that plane. do you believe that there's a signal here that they don't buy into terrorism? what is your view? >> well, the signals are still mixed. it's not surprising to me that the airline said it wasn't our fault. lou: right. >> but russian aviation are being more cautious, i think they've got it both of the black boxes, they've got the
11:18 pm
plane, they'll be able to do the testing, this is a critical question, though, because if air travel is in danger whether for its missiles or bomb, that has a significant impact. lou: other airlines said until they're resolved, they're not flying over there. >> isis and affiliate of isis has taken credit for it. if that turns out to be true, that's the single stupidest thing isis has ever done because putin will have no option but to crush some substantial part of isis in retaliation. he won't be worried like obama would be about the fall out. he'll go after it. lou: he doesn't appear to be too worried now. he's running each day the same number of swordies that the u.s. and the coalition were running over the course of a month. and with quite some effect apparently according to all the reads on damage done to isis. yet also at the same time we're getting intelligence that the islamic state is
11:19 pm
consolidating its gains in central syria. >> well, i think russia remains focused. what they're trying to do is rationalize the positions that the assad regime holds and that's taking on the what we call the free syrian army and i don't put it beyond the realm of impossible that the isis and assad regime will meet the combination of what it will be. lou: this is one of the instruct him not to answer things you mention, the free syrian army, we've discussed the moderate rebels. who is the leader of the free syrian army? why isn't there some sense of structure and some sense of the number of people engaged and involves. >> because i don't believe such a thing exists. maybe four years ago or three years ago there was something there but obama, who said then to overthrow assad knew if he did that it could interfere with his nuclear negotiations with iran, which were always his highest priority.
11:20 pm
lou: i want to very quickly touch on a couple of issues. and first iran saying that there is no -- there is no peace with the satan america that it's still death to america with respect to how many billions our president will be putting at their disposal. >> iran made it strategic to get nuclear weapons, zero evidence it has given up on that strategic decision and they're just telling us in case there are any doubters that they're still pursuing that objective. lou: and when does the money start flowing to iran? >> i wouldn't be surprised if it's shortly after the first of the year, of course when that money becomes available, they can spend it to help the assad regime in syria. lou: and john bolton, good to see you, sir, you have to have a sense of humor to watch this madness. >> indeed. lou: thank you for being with us. john bolton. our question tonight and
11:21 pm
please vote in our poll, the question is will the mainstream national media get over its hatefulness and ever love republicans or conservatives? we want to reach out and touch someone's heart in the national liberal media. cast your vote at lou dobbs.com, can't wait to see how you vote on that one. if you want to connect with me, and i want you to follow me on social media, please do, follow me on twitter, go to our facebook page, lou dobbs tonight, links everything at loudobbs.com. and a daredevil taking some considerable pain to a new level in an effort to break a world record. what you're watching is probably -- you don't believe your eyes. well, there it is. the sideshow performer as he is called, the great lies down on a bed of nails, of course he would be lying down on a bez of nails while 70 motorcycles drive over him and
11:22 pm
moving rather crisply there, they do that in two minutes, separated his torso from the back and broke the previous world record of 31 bikes set in 2013. looked at that record and must have infuriated him and said i can do 70 and there you have it. we come right back and when you do the few thoughts of the republican debate revolt and robots can balance much like humans. that looks more like sass sasquatch. anyway some robots are driving like us. now that makes sense. we'll have the video for you and much more next. we're coming right back

earlier. >> with the campaigns want is more accountability and transparency in the process. they want integration weld and events of the debate to make decisions about whether to participate or not. lou: that is with force and power for tromp the answer is no. he will not participate he will go his own way. he is planning to reject the letter and take the lead role to negotiate itself working on direct with the broadcasters. governor kasich and carly fiorina will not participate good for them as well about participating in groups think were playing to the establishment to listen to those words and trump already shows he is not interested from leading from behind which is a good
